    6am .


    Lucia jumps out of bed after putting off the rm .


    She said a very short and simple prayer before running into the bathroom .


    She took off her nightie and dropped it in theundry basket there .


    She took her toothbrush and toothpaste from where it was kept on the counter and brushed her teeth making sure it shone in the mirror .


    She turned on the tub before getting it and started scrubbing herself clean .


    After making sure she was filthy clean , she stepped out of the bathroom and collected the towel and dried her body with it before tying it on her body and wrapping a smaller one over her head .


    She stepped out of the bathroom and hang and opened the wardrobe and got a blue penciled skirt that stopped at the knee and a blue chiffon ir top with a V neck and some shiny golden flowers at the rim of it ..


    She took off her towel from her head and  dried her hair with the dryer beforebing it  .


    She parked her hair in a messy bun and left few tendrils to dangle at the front.  .


    She attached a blue pin flower to the edge of her hair before applying nude makeup to her face and lip gloss to match .


    She wore a blue ts toplete her dressing before picking a bag to match it. .


    She checked the time and it was 6:30 am and smiled at her smartness .


    She opened the door and walked down the stairs to the kitchen .


    She knew nobody would be awake now. .


    She walked into the kitchen and switched the light bulb on and was shocked to see Lucien also entering in .


    The ss Lucien was holding fell down and shattered into pieces as he stared at Lucia .


    ” You look beautiful ,” the words found its way out of his mouth.  .


    Lucia smiled as he looked at Lucien who was dressed in a blue tuxedo with some yellow designs ..


    ” Good morning , what would you want for breakfast ” Lucia asked getting the broom and parker by the door side which she used in sweeping the sses that had broken there.


    ” You ..  sorry I want Toasted bread and tea ” he said slightly embarrassed making Lucia chuckle as she got to work. .


    ” Thanks for the job , I do appreciate ” she appreciated sincerely and Lucien nodded .


    ” It’s nothing ” He said simply before walking out of the kitchen to stop the nasty things he was thinking of .


    Lucia brought out the Milk, Milo , Sugar for tea and the Bread , pepper , onions , salt for the toasted bread and began cooking immediately .

    Lucia hummed to the musicing out of the car stereo system as Lucien drove them to work .


    Lucien shifted ufortably in his seat as he drove down not happy about the lurking silence .


    ” Uhmm why did you agree to your ex boss request to woo my secretary .” He asked unable to take it anymore .


    Lucia winced as memories of that day came back and smiled .


    ” Why do you ask? ” She asked him making Lucien groan .


    He hadn’t expected her to ask him a question in return .


    ” Well the silence is bing unbearable and I need a topic so that’s why I thought of that ” he answered bluntly without mincing words .


    Lucia chuckled at his blunt words .


    ” Well I felt like helping him out because I don’t have anything to do at home when I close from work ” she said and Lucien hummed .


    ” And too bad you crashed it ” he said with a chuckle making Lucia re yfully at him.


    ” Not my fault tho , I just couldn’t assimte the events that went on ” she said truthfully. .


    ” Yeah but I think he is a chicken.  What guy doesn’t know how to approach a guy and say the necessary things and flip he gets her ” Lucien said with a proud look making Lucia scoff.


    ” You think girls are that easy , that’s so petty . Not all girls are that easy as you pose anyway ” she said and Lucien scoff .


    ” Ok why don’t we see about that.  Let’s make a bet ” Lucien said and Lucia eyed him suspiciously.


    ” Are you in or out ” he asked and Lucia took a deep sigh before nodding.


    ” You don’t just nod , you say it ” Lucien said and Lucia sighed .


    ” Fine I am in ” she said and Lucien let out a cocky grin.  .


    ” Ok how long do you think I can make you fall for me ” he asked still facing his eyes on the road and Lucia felt her belly churn.


    ” Huh ” she asked in confusion.


    ” The bet , I am going to make you fall helplessly in love with me within two weeks and then you know girls are petty ” Lucien said and Lucia flinched.


    How was she to ept this crazy request .


    ” Then what happens after that ,,” she asked.


    ” If I win I will give you a thousand dors and if you lose you give me a thousand dors ” he said giving her a side grin .


    ” Fine ….  ” She breathed out and Lucien gave her a sweet smile.


    Lucia’s heart was already beating because she knew she already felt something for him and this was going to expose her feelings for him

    ” We are here ” Lucien said bringing her out of her reverie and she wowed at the building as she took it on unlike the other day .


    Lucia picked her bag and got down from the car and Lucien handed her a card to give to the receptionist for direction and she smiled nervously before walking in .Property ? N?velDrama.Org.


    Lucien parked the car properly as he stared at Lucia’s retreating figure and smiled .


    “This was going to be one sweet bet ” he thought as he got down .
