Chapter 41 A Bet


    I looked at him puzzledly and said, "Bet? What bet?"


    Gavin said triumphantly, "Let''s bet on whose movement was discovered by others. If someone loses,


    then......"


    "So what?"

    "That won''t do. We have cars at home. Let''s go out after we tidy up. Come and eat. Don''t fidget." I sat


    down with Gavin to have breakfast. During this time, he was fascinated by the news with an iPad. I

    Seeing that he was silent, Gavin quickly said, "Forget it, I won''t say it. Have you finished eating? Let''s


    go quickly, or we''ll catch the traffic jam."


    I nodded and tried my best to pull myself together. We walked out of the house together without  saying


    a word.


    There were not many people at the corner of thepany. I asked Gavin to put me here. He didn''t say


    anything, just telling me to rx. And then he went to stop the car.


    I took a deep breath outside the building, raised my head and walked into the Stone family''s building.


    The receptionist smiled and asked me where I was. Gavin introduced me to her, and then she gave me


    a look full of meaning before telling me where to go.


    After getting into the elevator, I felt upset. If I had known this would happen, I should have applied for


    the job by myself. I can also say that I was introduced by someone. The result would be better than


    saying I was introduced by Gavin.


    Beforeing, Gavin asked me to go to Human Resources Department first. I thought my position


    should be there. It was not particrly difficult to work in human resources department. But it was


    definitely not simple. Once not careful, people would say that it was dispensable. Gavin also wanted


    me to learn how to deal with interpersonal rtionships first.
