Alex seemed to be in shock because he stood where he was receiving the call without moving.
"Let him in, let two guards escort him." He finally said then hung up.
"Is everything okay?" I asked sitting up.
"Remember when I told you to get ready?"
"Yeah"
"Well, I hope you are ready now, because my father is here, be strong and don''t show any sign of
weakness, even when he is stern with you, don''t falter, I wish I can tell you more but then he''s on his
way already, just don''t be scared, okay?"
"Okay, I''d prepare something for him," I said standing up
"He would probably be staying here tonight, so just get him water for now," Alex said and I nodded I got
water but before I returned a man was already in the sitting.
I was shocked at the resemnce, if not for the grey hair and few wrinkles the man has one would
have mistaken him for Alex, the apple doesn''t fall too far from the tree they say and now I understand
why they say that.
"Good evening," I said boldly cing the water on one of the side stools
"Please sit sir," I said as he didn''t reply to my greetings, I didn''t get any reply and he didn''t sit.
"Is this the woman?" He asked staring right at Alex
"Her name is Tracy Johnson." He retorted, I could feel the tension where I was standing.
"I heard I have a grandchild now." He said putting his hands in his pocket
"Grandchildren."
"What?, How is that even possible?"
"They are twins."
"Mum!" Micheal called as if on cue and I rushed upstairs, by the time I got there Michelle was awake
too.
"Did you nap well?" I asked and they nodded
"Now, who wants to see Grandpa?" I asked and they looked at me confused.
"Grandpa is here?" Micheal asked and I realized I''ve confused them
"Yes, daddy''s dad is here."
"Oh!."
"So, are you ready to meet daddy''s dad," I asked and they nodded excitedly?
I helped them out of the bed and I got them ready toe downstairs, I don''t know what Alex and his
dad were conversing about but the question asked made me angry.
"How sure are you that they are your children?, What if she is just a gold digger?" He asked and Alex
red at him
"She married me without knowing my identity, I made her believe I was a small business owner, so
don''t talk about my wife like that."
I felt vindicated so I and the kids walked downstairs.
When we got downstairs, the kids were confused, they looked from Alex to his dad and I can''t me
them, Alex and his dad looked alike.
"Daddy!" They called and rushed to Alex, he hugged them, then carried them on his legs, I was really
surprised when Alex''s dad sat down because he was acting like he won''t.
"I''d start on dinner."
"What are you making?"
"ckened shrimp pasta."
"Okay."
I went to the kitchen and prepared dinner, when I finished preparing dinner, I set the table and
everyone settled in the sitting room
"Alex, don''t you think youngdies this day should know their ce? I mean especially when there are
various ways to put them in their ce." Alex''s father said as I served his food. I knew he was trying to
tell me something and I smiled, two can y that game.
"Alex, what do you think about people who think they have the answer to everything and those that
underestimate people, I mean what we do is show them it is not everyone you mess with, don''t you
think?" I said and Alex''s dad cleared his throat while Alex chuckled.
"Also have you heard of the story of the tortoise and the tug of war, who would have thought tortoise
would defeat the mighty elephant?" I asked and Alex chuckled again
"Here you go sir, please enjoy your meal," I said when I finished serving his food with a big smile
stered on my face.
I served others, we said our prayers, and started eating.
"So, when are you leaving?" Alex asked
"Are you chasing me out already?"
"Not yet."
"You punk!"
"Language please my kids are here." Alex retorted and his dad kept quiet, after that everyone was
quiet till we finished dinner.

After dinner they all went to the living room while I cleared the table, I was almost done when Alex
came back.
"Do you need anything?."
"No, I don''t, I''m just wondering where my dad would sleep tonight."
"You look like you''ve figured it out," I said moving everything we used into the kitchen.
"You know me too well Tracy." He said following me
"Don''te here if you won''t be assisting me in doing the dishes," I said and he chuckled.
"I''m helping you."
"So, where is your dad sleeping?"
"My room."
"Oh, where would you sleep then?"
"That''s the issue now, you know how my dad feels about our marriage, now if we sleep in separate
rooms, you know he would try harder to convince me that our marriage is not meant to be, so..."
"We should sleep in the same room?" I asked
"Um, yeah, until he leaves."
"Okay."
"Huh?"
"I said okay."
"Wait, you are fine with it?"
"It is not like he''s spending months here, is he?"
"No, I''m just surprised that you agreed that fast."
"Well, it is cool as far as you promise not to do anything I don''t consent to."

what to say to that so I kept quiet.
We finished doing the dishes and we went back to the sitting room, I was so shocked by the sight that
met us that I couldn''t even move.
