Chapter Twenty Two

The kids finally wore their swimming suit after arguing for minutes about who would pick the blue or
green, and it looked just nice on them.
Alex led the kids to the pool, while I carried the snacks
Thirty minutester, I was expecting Micheal and Michelle to be tired, but then they didn''t show any
sign of being tired, Alex left them to y and he came to my side.
"What?" I asked because he was staring at me
"Been working hard, don''t I deserve a reward too?" He asked and I sighed, I stuffed an apple in his
mouth.
"That is not the reward I was expecting." He said chewing
"What were you expecting? An orange?" I asked and he looked at me like he was shocked
"Nevermind,e in and swim with us." He said and I shook my head
"I didn''t bring anything suitable for swimming," I said looking at my top and trousers
"Doesn''t matter." He said grabbing my leg, he removed the flip-flops I was wearing and he threw them
away.
"What are you doing!" I asked but I didn''t get any reply, he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me into
the water.
"Alex!" I yelled trying to give him a light p but he ducked, he released me and swam away from me, I
swam after him and the children cheered me on.
I couldn''t catch him and I realized he was trying to get me tired, I swam to the kids instead.
"Dee is naughty," Michelle saidughing.
"I know right"
"He is smart too, I can do the front crawl now, Dee taught me," Micheal said and I red at him
"Stop ring at my Ch...." I knew Alex was going to say child so I gave him a hard look so he won''t
"My champion.. stop ring at my champion." He said and I shook my head, I don''t know how long I
can keep him from calling them his children to their faces.
"Hear that mummy?, I''m his champion," Micheal said proudly of himself.
"I called you my champion yesterday."
"Are you jealous?" Alex asked from behind, he was so close I could feel his breath on my neck, I turned
quickly and pped his face lightly.
"Ouch!"
"Why did you pull me into the pool," I asked ring at me
"Because you were being bored, now stop ring, you look old." He said and the twin startedughing.
"It looks like it is going to rain." He said pointing at the sky, I looked up to see that dark clouds were
gathering in the sky already.
"Looks like it is going to rain for real,e now Micheal, Michelle," I said moving to lift them but Alex
stopped me
"Don''t worry about it, leave them to me." He said shocking me, he came out of the pool and carried
Michelle first then Micheal.
I came out of the pool to carrying the snack tray, by the time we got inside the rain was already
drizzling.
Alex showed me to a room and by the time I helped the children out of the swimming suit into their
clothes the rain was very heavy.
They went into the sitting room where Alex was already.
"Dee!" They called then joined him on the sofa, he helped them put the cartoon on then he came to
meet me where I was standing.
"You knew it was going to rain heavily today, didn''t you?" I used and he grinned
"Are you not changing?"
"I didn''t bring anything stupid."
"Feel free to take anything from my closet." He said and I rolled my eyes
"Only because I don''t want to freeze to death," I said and heughed.
I made my way into his and locked the door behind me because I don''t trust him.
I took one of his sweatshirts and I changed into it, thankfully it was knee-length, I took the wet clothes
and I unlocked the door and opened it to go out but Alex was blocking the doorway, he pushed me
back inside and closed the door.

"Alex, what are you doing?"
"I came to im my reward." He said wrapping his hands around my waist, I dropped the wet clothes
shocked.
"What reward?"
"I told you earlier, I worked hard."
"Oh my goodness, Alex!"
"What?, Not like I''m doing anything wrong, now shut up I''m trying to concentrate." He said, he leaned
down looking into my eyes then looked at my lips.
My throat and my lips suddenly felt dry, I swallowed hard and licked my lips but that didn''t help. I knew
he was giving me time to push away but at that moment I was not capable.
He leaned closer but before his lips could meet mine Michelle''s scream filled the air
"Mummmm!!"
I pulled away from Alex and turned to leave but he held my hand and I turned back to face me.
"We''d finish thister." He said but before I could reply Michelle screamed again.
I rushed out to see what was happening, it turned out they were both fighting for the remote, which
neither of them can operate.
I scolded them and I turned off the television, Alex joined us a few minutester.
"Why is the television off?" He asked sitting between them
"Because they were being naughty."
"Oh."
"The rain is still heavy, I don''t think we can leave now."
"You better start making dinner then." I red at him but I knew he was right, we are probably spending
the night here.
I made fried rice for dinner, and we all ate, the kids yed for a while and when they were sleepy we
tucked them in, I sang them a luby since I didn''t have their bedtime story with me, they must be tired
because they fell asleep before I finished the luby.
"They are asleep."
"Yeah."
"Let''s have coffee then." He said pulling him with me as he left the room.
He said coffee but as soon as we came out of the room, he lifted me and carried me into his bedroom,
which is next door.
"Alex!" I said as heid me on the bed
"What?"
"What are you doing?."
"I told you earlier, we''d finish itter, now ister." He said joining me on the bed before I could protest.
