I don''t know why Alex is acting like this, when I opened the door and I saw him, I wanted to be strong
and push him away first, but when he pleaded my resolve softened.
I know Alex is proud, and I was very surprised when he dropped on his knees and pleaded, if I doubted
his intentions about our children before, him kneeling and pleading changed that.
When he talked to our children my heart melted, he had the children first at the chocte, and then the
joy on their faces when they saw other gifts he bought for them.
This is the first gift Alex bought for them so I picked my phone and recorded their reactions as they
opened each bag, my bundles of joy gasped at each gift, and when they opened a bag and found kids
iPads in it they screamed so loud that I had to stop the video to correct them.
"Look mummy he got us iPads," Michelle said raising the pink one
"Yes he did sweetie, you should not scream like that next time okay?." I corrected sitting beside them
on the floor
"Okay, mommy." They replied
There were a lot of gifts, I knew I should not be surprised because I know now that Alex is very rich, but
then I couldn''t help it.
"Mummy these are books," Micheal said dropping a bag in myp, I opened it and they were novels my
favorite genre, not just novels, they were my favorite genre, mystery. I couldn''t keep the smile off my
face, he bought something for me.
The doorbell rang and I went to get it, it was my sister inw and her children I forgot that we agreed to
make jam today if they had arrived 20 minutes before now she would have seen Alex and if she sees
Alex things would have gotten a little messy, thank God she didn''t.
"Hi, Tracy!"
"How are you doing Rose, hello Williams, hello Charles." I greeted bending to hug the children.
"Hello, aunty Tracy." They greeted hugging me then they went inside.
I stood up to let Tiana in but she was giving me a weird look.
"What?, Come in," I said moving to the side to let her in.
"You called me Rose so I was wondering what you need me to help you with." She replieding in, I
closed the door then I followed her
"No, I don''t need anything," I replied taking her bags
"Really?."
"Yes really."
"Then tell me what you did." She said and I stiffened
"Nothing, I didn''t do anything," I said quickly moving to the children, Micheal and Michelle were
showing Williams and Charlie some of their toys.

"Wow!, That''s a lot of toys, was there a sale at the toy shop?"
"No."
"Then where did you get all this toy from? Is that an iPad?" She asked pointing at the pink iPad
"Yes it is my iPad aunty Tiana, a man bought it, he bought us ice cream too," Michelle said excitedly
"Oh, I see what is going on now," Tiana said turning to face me, I was really scared that my eyes
widened out of fear, I held my breath too
"You''ve decided to let another man into that heart, haven''t you? I see he is rich, Tell me who is the
lucky man?"
"Stop it, Rose," I said releasing my breath slowly so she won''t know I was holding it before.
"See?, You called me Rose again, I''m sure I''m right but I''d stop, for now, make sure you tell me about
himter." She said and I nodded.
"Let''s go make the jam now, do you have the ingredients?"
"Yup, cocoa powder, chocte, butter, sugar, fresh strawberry, lemon juice, I have everything."
"Okay then, we''d make the chocte jam, then the strawberry jam."
"Yeah, a jar each?" She asked and I nodded
I gave the children the ice cream and while they licked it we prepared the jam, when we finished we
cleaned up and we made lunch. We all ate and we cleaned up after lunch.
Michelle and Micheal gave Charles and Williams some of the toys Alex bought and I lent Tiana one of
the books Alex bought, we both agreed to discuss the books once we are done.
The children yed some more while Tiana and I chatted, I told her about what Mrs. Bet said and
how I''m nning on confronting her in church on Sunday.
"Don''t do it, girl, it''s not worth it." She said shaking her head and I sighed because I knew she was
saying the truth.
"I know, I just don''t like it, I don''t like that my children heard her saying that, Rose you believe me
right?"
"Of course I do, you said you didn''t give birth to them out of wedlock and I''m sure you didn''t, back then
when I was still dating your brother I remember you''d always talk about your wedding and all."
"Seriously I''m thankful that you are my sister inw," I said sincerely
"I''m d you are my sister inw too."
We chatted some more and they left an hourter.
That night after dinner Alex called, I was not surprised he did because I knew he was going to.
"Hi Tracy"
"Hi"
"I just want to say thank you for letting me see my children."
"You are wee."
"You are an amazing mother Tracy, you raised them well, they are cute and polite, our children are very
happy kids and I thank you very much for raising them well."
"Yeah," I said like his words didn''t affect me, it felt nice that someone is acknowledging my efforts.
"I hope I can see them tomorrow."
"No"
"Oh, how about on Sunday?" He asked
"I don''t know, I''d think about it."
"Please do, and yes Tracy, there is something else I''d like to request for, once again I''m thankful for
everything you''ve done for our kids, I appreciate you, but I''d like that I and my kids are closer, you said
it earlier that they asked of their father, that''s why I thought if we all live together they would grow used
to me, what''s I''m trying to say is how about you and the children move in with me?." He asked and my
jaw dropped.
