Chapter Ten


    Tracy


    I woke up in the morning feeling optimistic, I made breakfast for my children and I cleaned the house,


    by 8: 30 my children were already eating breakfast, and everywhere in the house was clean.


    Next, I did some online shopping for my kids, then I checked my emails, I was so happy when I saw the


    mail from one of thepanies I applied for the job, I quickly opened it and I was thankful to see that


    that thepany is ready to employ me all I have to do ise by 11: 00 am for one final assessment


    and if it goes well, I can have the job!


    I was so happy that I read the email over and over again, it didn''t fully register that I was supposed to


    be there by 11: 00 am until a few minutester, I checked the time and it was 8: 50 am, I didn''t know


    what to do, I knew I needed to leave the twins with someone but I couldn''t call my parents because I


    needed them to rest for the past one week there were always at the hospital with me, so I decided to


    call Cole''s wife.


    Her phone kept ringing but there was no answer so I called Cole instead.


    "Hello, sis."


    "Good morning Cole, is Tiana there with you?"


    "Sure why?"


    "I called her phone but there was no answer."


    "Oh, we are in the dining room her phone is probably in the bedroom."


    "Okay please help me give the phone to her?" I said and a few secondster she was on the phone.


    "Good morning sister inw."


    "Good morning my Rose, my Tiana," I said I know she would catch the hint, because I mostly call her


    Rose, from her middle name Rosemarie whenever I need her to help me with something.


    "What do you need Tracy?." She said chuckling.


    "I might be getting a job but I need to be in the office by 11: 00 am today for a final assessment, I was


    wondering if you can help me stay with the twin."


    "Sure, I''de to pick them up now, Charles and Williams are already in school." She said and I


    thanked her profusely.


    Michael and Michelle were done with breakfast so I gave them their drugs and left them to y while I


    dressed up.


    I wore a white shirt tucked in ck trousers and ck heels, I packed my hair into a ponytail, I don''t


    really like makeup so I didn''t use any.


    By the time I finished dressing and packing the twin''s bag Tiana was with us already.


    "Thank you foring Tiana," I said handing her the twin''s bag.


    "You are wee, sister."


    "I''d see youter, please behave yourself at Aunty''s okay?"


    "Okay mummy"


    I hugged them and kissed them on their noses, Tiana took them out and I left too.


    I got to thepany with twenty minutes to spare, so I look around, I was amazed because not only is


    the ce big, the workers are also working hard, I love it when people take their job seriously and this


    environment would make you serious even if you are the worst of all ckers.

    I went back to the reception and by 11: 00am I was sent to the manager''s office, I knocked and I was


    told toe in, to be honest, the man let looked exhausted.


    "Good Morning Sir." I greeted.


    "Good Morning Miss Jones, please have your sit." He said gesturing towards the chair before him.


    "Thank you." I said sitting like he offered.


    "You are to be the CEO''s secretary that is if you still want the job, kindly go through this document and


    tell me what you think." He said giving it to me


    I went through it and I was amused by the pay, a sum of $5000 per month, I''d have two days off every


    month, there would be paid time off, I could work from home at times when the CEO doesn''t need me,


    there is parental time off, there is Health insurance, employee discount, and food would be provided,


    but then I have to go with the CEO whenever he needs me to go with him somewhere, and once I start


    working in the country I can''t quit for the next 1 year and 3 months, not like I''d want to quit the offer is


    too huge and favourable for me to do that.


    "I''m done."


    "Are you willing?"


    "Yes, I am."


    "Okay then, please sign the document," He said and I nodded.


    I read through the documents once again then I signed it.


    "Wee to T&A, you can go home today but you should be at work by 8:30 am tomorrow so that you


    can meet our CEO, your normal resumption time is 9:00 am."


    "Okay, sir." I replied and he dismissed me.


    I left thepany happy, I joined my children at my brother''s ce and we were there till after dinner. I


    told my parents about it and they were happy that Micheal and Michelle would be with them.


    When we got home, I read Micheal and Michelle a bedtime story.


    I woke up early as required the next, I took my bath, the children took their bath and I made us


    breakfast and we ate. I was excited as I dropped Michael and Michelle at my parent''s ce and drove


    to work.


    I got to work 10 minutes early but the manager put me to work immediately.


    "Miss Jones, please would you make sure the documents on the CEO''s table are organized?"


    "Okay, sir," I replied, he took me to the CEO''s office and I started arranging the documents, I was


    halfway through when someone the door opened, I lifted my head to see who is there, I was so


    shocked to see who was at the door that I crumbled to the floor.
