Chapter 26 Tale of Love Presence


    Percy’s Point of View


    PThey both startled as Percy jumped off Artemis immediately. His eyes were still panicked as his brain


    was still trying topromise as least to remember what''d just happened between. That was until he


    turned to the person that interrupted their moment.


    She was too hard for the description his brain could form. Too beautiful for his eyes could set, for his


    heart to beat and for him to breathe.


    In front of him was a women, a goddess as he believed. She was elegantly without trying, fashionable


    without effort and stunning without makeup. She appeared with that ethereal, smooth and wless skin.


    Her blonde curly Disney princess hair like Annabeth shinning under the sun. Her face was what made


    Perseus lost his breath, his heart to skip a beat. Those were Artemis, part of his mother and Hestia.


    This goddess possessed the prettiest trace of every woman he had met. But mostly Artemis. Her eyes


    kept changing the colour from stormy grey to silver, then to icy blue that to fiery orange and to shining


    gold. It was hard to describe, it confused his nerves. She was in that perfect shape, nothing to criticise


    in that elegant and borate pink dress, a crown of flowers upon her golden hair.


    The ce her feet touched seemed to be more lively, flower grew around her, grass coiling around with


    flowers, even some made those perfect shapes of the heart.


    "It''s seemed that I''ve interrupted something" her voice was elegant like the high ss people with


    grace and contain a little amount of arrogance, yet flirtatious.


    "It''s a misunderstanding" Artemis swept her jacket and stared at her.


    "So don''t you mind to exin Artemis?" She smiled. Percy could not make any word to help Artemis.


    He was overwhelmed by her beauty, the unknown desire building up within him. Even the Moon beast


    was brought down by such astonishing sight of a being.

    "And I wonder who this handsome man might be" the goddess didn''t let Artemis have any chance to


    speak as she walked over to Percy and ran her finger on his chest.


    Percy''s knee felt like Jello at her touch, all his muscles just melt along with his brain. Those dazzling


    eyes like pools of spring water stared at his, made him just wanted to bow at her feet and her smile that


    would''ve lit up the dark side of the moon.


    "I-I" he just stared at her, his lips and tongue had just curled together.


    "APHRODITE stop using your power on him!" Artemis suddenly yelled that Percy suddenly got back his


    strength. Aphrodite gave out the cutest pout in front of him as she turned back to Artemis.


    "Aww" She groaned. "It''s notmon to find Artemis close to a man like this. I just wanted to test his


    endurance"


    "For what?" Artemis grumbled.


    "To see if he''s just likemon man or worthy enough for even Artemis to befortable at his


    touches."


    "And..." Artemis leaned closer. The look on her face that really wanted that answer only to worry


    Perseus even more.


    "Hah you fell for it!" Aphrodite suddenly eximed as she pointed at Artemis. "I knew one day, one day


    Artemis woulde to that!"


    "I told you Athena! Suck it cus now you''re owning me a hundred drachmas!" She then turned to the sky


    and shouted at it.


    "I told you for the second time it''s not what you think!" Artemis cried.


    "How can I deny when you were in his arms, your lips were at the point of touching?" Aphrodite looked


    at her with a sneer. "And I can sense it Artemis"


    "Sense what!?" Artemis grimaced as she snapped.


    "There''s definitely something going on between you two!" She pped her hand.


    "Tell me is he your new boyfriend" she appeared next to Artemis and flung her arm around Artemis


    shoulder. "How long had you guys dating? How many time did you kiss? Are you still a maiden


    goddess? If no then was it intense?"


    "What intense?" Artemis frowned.


    "You know what I meant" Aphrodite smiled at her. "That xxx session" and started touching the tips of


    her index together.


    "Well to tell you the fact Aphrodite" Artemis rolled her eyes. "That boy right there is my half little brother


    to whom you assumed to be an impossible to even think boyfriend AND THERE''S NO WAY ILL BE


    GETTING INTO THAT XXX!"


    "Oh..." Aphrodite leaned back and looked disappointed. "But it still can develop through time" But she


    shrugged atst.


    Artemis groaned in frustration as Percy prepared for calling the hunter to carry Aphrodite into the


    infirmary. But it seemed Artemis was better with anger management around Aphrodite or at least not to


    lung at and kill her.


    "It will not happen!" Artemis yelled.


    "She''s cute when she gets angry isn''t she?" Aphrodite voice suddenly came at his side as Percy turned


    only to have her leaning her elbow on his shoulder. It made him jumped literally.


    "You seriously should stop teleporting suddenly next to someone like that" Percy said, trying to calm


    himself.


    "Aww did I scare you handsome?" Aphrodite brushed his cheek and it made every hair on his body


    saluted.


    "Mind if I have your name?" She smiled.


    "Perseus"


    "Interesting name you have there" The goddess said. "I used to admire the original Perseus. It was


    great in fighting monsters and in bed as well"


    "Stop corrupting him Aphrodite!" Artemis scowled from a distance.


    "Fine I''m getting serious" Aphrodite moved her fingers from Percy skin and threw them up in surrender.


    "Tell me everything."


    "So that day I was suspecting everything and I was right" Aphrodite finally made out few words after


    hearing our story. "And you are saying Hestia knew and not me!?"


    "I wanted to keep it a secret." Artemis exined. "The less people know the better."


    "I''m disappointed Arty" Aphrodite pouted. "We''ve best friend for thousands of years and you didn''t trust


    me."


    "Ok first of all do you know what is the definition of best friend is?" Artemis spoke irritatingly.


    "Friend that knows you long enough and whom you can trust" Aphrodite said without hesitation. "I''ve


    fitted with all of it."


    "Urggg what ever!" Artemis groaned as she waved her hand. "Anyway as I was saying, I want to keep


    this secret and Perseus''s profile as low as possible. Therefore you cannot tell anyone about him"


    "Ok" Aphrodite smiled and put on a sign by her fingers.


    "I meant it Aphrodite" Artemis pressed in.


    "Uhm ok you can trust me" Aphrodite said in a more sensible way this time.


    "Now I suppose that you should leave here cus where have to return to camp soon" Artemis


    announced.


    "Aww I want to stay with Perseus a bit more!" Aphrodite groaned and wrapped her arms around his,


    pressing her body on it.


    "I told you not to corrupt him" Artemis growled.


    "But he''s too rare" Aphrodite pouted. "You are lucky Arty."


    "Ok for the five hundred and sixty six times. DO NOT CALL ME ARTY AND PERSEUS IS MY


    BROTHER!"


    "Time will reveal everything" Aphrodite just smiled and stepped back, a portal appeared behind her.


    "Oh and Artemis. Normal men could''ve tore my clothes off the moment I set my power upon them. I


    told you he''s rare"


    With a wink, the goddess was gone.


    "Gods she can always be annoying" Artemis sighed the moment she was gone.


    "Uh is she gonnae back?" Percy raised a question


    "I hope not and why do you asked." She turned around with a dangerous re.


    "It was just uh...question" Perseus stepped back as Artemis approached.


    "Don''t tell me you''ve fallen for her" The moon goddess growled. "I saw that look Perseus. You had that


    list for her, you disgust me!"


    "She was using her power on me!" He countered. "What was I supposed to do?"


    "You could''ve resisted her" She shoved him. "If you didn''t have those corrupted mind, even if I threw


    you into a ce full of her children you wouldn''t budge!"


    "Well not everyone has anti-Aphrodite''s power like you Maiden goddesses." Perseus sneered and


    crossed his arms.


    Apparently that just made the matter worst. "What did you say!" She screamed.


    "You heard what I said!" Percy yelled back at her. "It''s not like you care anyway! And why should you


    when I like someone? What is it? Jealousy?"


    "Th-the that..." Something made Artemis uttered from continue ranting at him.


    Just then the word came back to him. ''Jealousy?''. His souls just suddenly lost as his eyes widened. He


    looked at her only to have her back turning back at him.


    "Artemis-"


    "Let''s get back to camp" She cut him off. "We''re alreadyte for dinner."


    Week and weeks passed and the boredom slowly caught up to him. He would''ve woken up by Artemis


    rant and scowl. He would start his day with chores and asional pranks from the old hunters. Lucky


    the young had opened up to him. It kept repeating with the same pattern everyday and the worst part


    was, he couldn''t leave the camp.


    He ached for going, just to escape for a little but it seemed that Artemis watched his every move.


    Everywhere he went had her watching. And it felt really ufortable.


    As he was cleaning the tent, two arms suddenly wrapped around his waist.


    "Busy much?"


    He recognised the voice and scent immediately. "Aphrodite" he smiled and sighed.


    She let go off him and inspected the ce.


    "So this''s what you do here?" She said. "Cleaning the carpet?"


    "I''m drowned with other chores as well" Percy added.


    "Trust me living with Artemis is never going to be easy?" Aphrodite said. "But it''s the steps you must


    take in order to date her"

    "Sister sister sister" Aphrodite groaned in frustration. Perseus turned cautious whenever Aphrodite got


    angry. After their encounter in the woods, Percy had known her power and knew what she was capable


    off. He also heard that Aphrodite had a temper just like him.


    "It''s written clearly ''I like Artemis Phoebe more than just a sister'' on your face"


    Percy turned to the mirror and check on his face. He turned side to side but seen no ink or letter.


    "I don''t see anything" he eximed.


    "No wonder why Artemis have a headache with you sometimes." Aphrodite rolled her eyes.


    "My appearance depends on the epitome of beauty that person gazes upon me" Aphrodite told him.


    "And as far as I know, I look mostly like Artemis. I''m the goddess of love Perseus, I can sense your


    feeling towards her."


    "Don''t tell her and I''ll give you anything" at that point Perseus had nothing but to beg. Which had added


    to her taste as Aphrodite smiled.


    "You mean everything?"


    "As long as not dying then yes" he said.


    "Rx I don''t want you to die" Aphroditeughed. "You''re too handsome and pure to. I''ve a favour to


    ask."


    "The goddess of love is asking me a favour?" Perseus looked at her disbelievingly.


    "Is it notmon?" She put her hand on her hips in irritation as Percy immediately realised his


    mistakes.


    "No no it''s not. Tell what it is."


    "Not far from here to the west" Aphrodite said. "We have a group of demigods being surrounded by


    monsters. They''ve made camp to protect but the message for rescue can''t be sent. I need you to break


    the monsters surrounding for them to escape."


    "Why don''t you do it yourself?" Perseus frowned.


    "Because Perseus" Aphrodite emphasised his name. "We gods have rules and one of them is not to


    interfere with demigods survival. That''s why I''m asking you."


    "Technically you''re interfering" Percy mumbled only to be heard from her.


    "You said Perseus?"


    "Uh it was nothing" I smiled innocently at her. "But would Artemis ept"


    "Probably not"


    A word came out without hesitation. What''s wrong with her? She made it like Artemis would do


    anything or something. She was so carefree of stuff that even made Perseus jealous.


    "Then-"


    "Don''t worry" Aphrodite groaned. "I''ll cover it up for you. And besides don''t you want to leave the camp


    for awhile?"


    He looked at the ground for a moment. It''s true this mission could be a ticket for him to leave. It was


    worth that freedom. Even if Artemis found, she would scowl him and all. He looked up to a smiling


    Aphrodite as if she''d read his thoughts.


    "When do we start?"
