Chapter 24 Tale of First Day Back


    Artemis’s point of view


    Artemis woke up the next day horrified, not because something happened to Perseus, but because


    somehow or another, she had found herself in his arm and her head on his chest. She even had her leg


    swung across of him, and she had no recollection of that ever happening! She knew she tried to shut


    him offst night, but they were in a different position. She couldn''t let him know, or he''dugh at her


    for eternity.


    Artemis quickly collect her leg and my right arm, but her left was stuck under Perseus. She kept pulling


    it out, but he was just too heavy. How did it even get there in the first ce?


    "Artemis stop moving. I''m trying to sleep here." He tightened his hold around her, pressing her against


    his body. This is so wrong. As much as she hated his warm body, she also loved it. It was just too hot


    with the nket on, but she still loved the warmth he was radiating, and that sea breeze scent of his. It


    was enough to make her melt. She had dared hope to be in his arms like this, perhaps just to


    experience what it felt like.


    Artemis felt a sudden touch on her forehead as she averted her eyes upwards, only to find his lips


    against it.


    "Huh howe there''s something up here?" He moved his hand to touch her cheek, "what the heck


    with this skin?"


    He kept moving his hands, and it was REALLY making her feel... feel good. She ached her back lightly


    at his touches against her skin, but identally let out a moan. He immediately opened his eyes. His


    sea green eyes staring right at hers, at their situation, she couldn''t help but blushed furiously.


    "I thought someone wanted to make a barrier?" He smirked at her and she looked away from him shyly.


    "I...I umm..." she found herself unable to exin, but he used his hand and turned her face to face him.


    "You like this don''t you?" He grinned at her, making her even more flushed. "You''re just too proud to


    admit it."


    She was about to say maybe, but something kicked in that it pulled her out from his dreamy stare and


    warmth.


    "No I''m not" she yelled and kicked him off the bed. She heard a thud on the ground following a painful


    groan from him. She came to remember his wound and about to check on him, but considering he''d


    just humiliated her made Artemis wanted to rip his head off more than any.


    "Ouch rx Stubborn Moody Goddess" Perseus slowly sat up. "I was just trying to lighten the mood in


    the morning."


    "Oh so I''m supposed to beughing at your humiliation?" She put her hands on her hip.


    "Well I was telling the truth though" Perseus shrugged. "You were the one that hugged me first."

    Artemis blood boiled as she roared and lunged at him across the bed. She tackled him on the ground


    and held his cor shirt.


    "Only if you knew how to shut your filthy and annoying mouth" Artemis hissed. "One more word to


    annoy me and I swear to Leto, Perseus Phoebe what ever your fatherst name is. I will make you to


    never speak again"


    Perseus eyes widened in terror as he nodded furiously.


    "Now get out of here for me to change" Artemismanded. "Peak in and I''ll pull your eyeballs out."


    Perseus was about to leave when he heard her voice ranging. At his ears again.


    "Speak to anyone about what happened herest night and you''ll see what happens"


    The breakfast waste, which Artemis just med on Perseus. The entire meal he knew how to keep


    quite to himself, not a word was heard. Annabeth would asionally start a small conversation, but


    that was all for the morning.


    The meal ended which Perseus cleaned the dishes, Hunters and Artemis gathered around the dining


    table.


    "So this morning we''ll go out and remove all the wolfsbane around here" she said. "Get what you need


    and go"


    Artemis walked passed her tent, only to catch Perseus returning to it. The morning was quite enough to


    her pleasure, but without his voice made it dull somehow. Ever since their fight in the morning, Perseus


    had been staying in the shadow, made his return became non existence. Noughter from the hunters.


    Now she regretted from shutting him off.


    "You stay back at camp" she told him. She didn''t mean to make it harsh and rude, but it came anyway.


    Perseus just didn''t say a word and disappeared into the tent. Artemis spirit just dropped in that


    morning.


    Few hours passed and they had collected all the wolfsbanes around the camp and its area. They


    watched it burn, its smoke made column up to the sky. Let''s hope Zeus is not going to find out about


    this. Wolfsbane was the only weapon they had to control Perseus.


    As Artemis was about to return to camp, Zoe came up to her and grabbed her hand.


    "What is it Zo??" Artemis frowned.


    Zo? looked around until everyone was out of sight. She looked at the sky and back at her. She opened


    Artemis''s palm and set a small jar of wolfsbanes within.


    "Zo? this..." Artemis shuttered in surprise.


    "For safety Mdy" Zo? spoke. "We do not know how to control him. This maybe the only thing and we


    will need it in the future."


    "But I''ve told the others that-"


    "That''s why only you and me know of thisst weapon, our secret weapon" Zo? closed her fingers onto


    the jar, her hand put pressure on it to tell Artemis to keep it.


    After awhile, the goddess gave in as she nodded.


    Dinner passed withoutughter, without talking. Now Artemis actually hoped he could open his mouth.


    Three weeks passed without hearing from him was already a torture to her. Now with him being there


    without speaking a world made her feel like he wasn''t even there.


    The evening passed so slow, like eternity. The two both returned to their tent, actually Perseus made it


    first and left Artemis walked back by herself.


    She noticed the carpet and rug were cleaned of his blood. He was preparing the pillow and nket on


    the floor as she made her way to the bed.


    The light was off and everything was so quite. She didn''t know why the bed was so big this time, and it


    was cold. She hugged her bolster but it felt like the it was just taken out from the fridge. It was too quite


    for her to sleep, too cold for her to close her eyes. Had she feltfortable with his warmth and


    presence next to her? She was all fine until he past, but since the idiot came along and...sigh.


    "Perseus are you awake?"


    A nkness of silence of the night sted against her.


    "Perseus are you there? Talk to me?" She called again. No response.


    Sheid back on the bed irritated. Who cares about you anyway? The nket would keep me warm.


    She thought. But then the darkness in the room  somehow sent a chill down her spine. What the Hades


    is going on? She mentally screamed. She turned to the side, peaked out her head only to see his back


    facing her.


    "I''m sorry for the morning Perseus" She whispered.


    She hoped he coils turn around, but the cold broad back was just his response.


    The wind howled outside made her teeth shook, like someone was calling for her. She remembered the


    spirits of men she had killed, countless. Perhaps tonight at her vulnerable moment, they came to haunt


    her. Artemis pulled the nket of animal fur over her head, pulling the bolster close to herself and


    summoned her dagger. It was cold, her hand gripped on the handle of the silver dagger and she


    sobbed.


    It was a small one that even surprised the goddess herself. She wanted to turn on the light, move to


    other tent to sleep with her hunters, but she couldn''t move. Her body was somehow frozen on one


    spot. She needed a certain warmth, a certainfort or perhaps just a whisper of his voice. She


    needed...


    A strong arm suddenly grabbed around her stomach. That strong body pressed against her back and


    the familiar warmth came again. The realised that sea scent.


    "Feel any better?" He whispered into her ear, sending chill down her body.


    Artemis didn''t say, she made the dagger disappear and put wrapped her hand on his that was on her


    belly. She pulled the bolster close to her chest and pressed more against him. Slowly, Artemis drifted


    off to sleep.


    N/A Now sorry for the long update guys. I''m on the holiday so yeh I''ll try to update every day from now


    for the next 2 weeks ???? This story is turning into a Pertemis One Shots lol. Sorry to say this but I''m


    considering of stopping the story. That was just a thought, don''t worry. Anyway,ment and vote
