La raised her brows in suprise. ” Why? ” She had to ask. ” They wanted the contract for theirpany. The contract was indeed a big one, they knew it would make our business really big and almost reaching theirs.. they didn’t want that.. ”
” We were warned on several asions to terminate the contract, they even offered us huge amount of money but your dad refused it. Until suddenly, the bigpany who had wanted to invest in our business terminated the contract all of a sudden. They gave no reason at all, we were more than devastated as our business went into ruins almost immediately. We had lost a lot..
” Weter found out, the otherpany caused it and they had thepany invest with them. It was a really devastating incident and your dad almost lost his life. We had took oans from banks to make sure the contract was going to be sessful and we couldn’t pay the back. They took ournds, our properties and house and we were left with nothing, making us as poor as a church rat. This was what caused our unending hatred for wealthy people ” Mrs Brown exined and La sighed.
This was indeed a sad an devastating incident. Truly, if she were the one she wouldn’t forgive whoever it was but other wealthy people had no business or hand in whatever happened to her parent’s business.
Shane isn’t even involved in this. Why should they develop a sudden hatred towards rich people cause of this.
” Um, mom.. do you know the name of the business.. I mean thepany who got dad’s business into ruins? ” La asked.
” Balfour Enterprise ” Mrs Brown muttered hatefully. La sighed frustratedly. ” Mom, that’s just one family. Cause they’re a wealthy family and they did us wicked doesn’t mean other wealthy families are wicked too.. ”
” La! ” Mr Brown who hadn’t said a word ever since cut her off. She kept mute immediately. ” Why does it seems so much that you wanna go against our order or you’re obviously going against it secretly!? ” Mr Brown question but La kept mute.
” If I find out your boyfriend isn’t whom you im to be.. trust me that rtionship would end on that same day! ” He said sternly and stood up angrily before walking out of their view. La sighed disappointedly and dejectedly.
She turned to her mom who only ignored her and looked elsewhere.
** At a mini bar **
” I really can’t believe this. Why are your parents like this? ” Mirah asked La who constantly kept sipping from her dink.

” We should just drink all night. I don’t know what to say anymore ” Mira muttered and like that, they started the drinkingpetition, taking turns to drink as many as they want.
* Meanwhile At Shane’s Mansion *
” Oh God… Where could they be? ” Bryan said worriedly as they kept dialing the girl number but they wouldn’t pick. ” I really don’t know. La hardly misses my call ‘else she’s busy somewhere doing something important ” Shane muttered worriedly.
” But what could they be doing that’s so important and it’s night already and the guards we sent said they weren’t home. They are obviously somewhere ” Bryan muttered and almost immediately us rushed in and over to them.
He handed over his tab to Shane. ” They’re here. I tracked their phones ” He showed them the location on the GPS.
” Oh God, it’s a bar.. ” Shane muttered as he rushed out hurriedly. ” They must be wasted ” Bryan rushed after him immediately. They both got into their separate cars and drove out of the mansion speedily.
** At the bar **
” You girls don’t really wanna y with our kitties ” One of the two huge guys sitting before the girls say with a smirk. ” No.. I have a boyfriend ” La muttered drunkenly, shooking her head unnecessarily.
” But you .. you look so much like Bryan ” Mirah muttered dreamily at the other guy. The guy let out a smirk. ” So you wanna y with my kitty? ” He asked and Mirah nodded in a babyish manner.
” Yes I will baby ” She muttered and the hefty guy smiled. He heaped her up on his shoulder at once. ” Let’s go to my room then ” He said and Mirah nodded drunkenly. He carried her away.
The first guy looked at La who was almost dozing off. ” Your friend’s about getting fvcked. You don’t wanna have a taste too? ” He asked with a smirk and La smiled lightly. She suddenlyughed out loud.
” Gosh Shane, you’re so funny..e here ” She said in a seductive tone and the guy smiled, he moved closer to her slowly. He made to ce his head on her b*bs when the door barged open.
Shane’s eyes suddenly turned blood shot at the scene before him. He rushed over to them almost in a sh and he grabbed the guy roughly,nding his fist on his face immediately without giving him a chance to say anything.
He kept punching him severally not even giving him chance to retaliate.
” Oh no… no baby where are you? ” Bryan muttered as he kept barging into the various rooms in the hotel. He was suddenly getting restless and he knew something was about happening.
Fortunately, thest room he barged into, he saw a guy almost forcing himself on Mirah. Maybe not forcing since she wasn’t struggling with him but it’s definitely ’cause she was drunk. He rushed there in a sh and rushed punches on his face till he fell down unconsciously.
He bit his lips bitterly and almost in regret, if they hadn’t arrived so soon who knows what could have happened? His girlfriend would have had s*x with a stranger and the fact that she was giving in as his hand trailed on her body.
She sighed deeply before heaping her up on his shoulders, he carried her out of the hotel.
He didn’t meet with Shane’s car which meant he had gone. He dropped Mirah slowly in the back seat and he got into his car before driving off.
** Next Day **
* Shane’s Apartment *
” Are you still mad at me? ” La asked Shane as he bathed her in the bath tub, scrubbing her body earnestly with the sponge.
” You’re scrubbing my body too much. He didn’t touch me ” La said and Shane dropped the sponge at once, he looked up at her at once and she gulped down into nothing.
” Yeah, he didn’t touch you ’cause I got there on time! What if I hadn’t!? Huh! He might have ra*ped you right!!? Answer the damn question!? ” Shane snapped angrily and when La didn’t give a reply, he stood up and walked out of the bathroom.
La sighed sadly as tears threatened to fall from her face. ” I’m sorry. I only wanted to get things off my head, never knew it was going to turn out bad ” She muttered.
She had her bath herself and walked out of the bathroom in a robe. She got to Shane’s bedroom but he wasn’t there. ” Where was he? ” She thought silently. She didn’t have clothes to wear.
She nced at her yesterday clothes and she took them. Sh inhaled them and they had scent of alcohol and it was so bad that she dropped it immediately.
” What do I wear? ” She bit her lips. She turned to Shane’s wardrobe and advanced towards it. She opened it and it opened widely before her revealing her various sets of designer clothes. His wardrobe was really wide.
She grabbed one of his shirts and inhaled his scent and she smiled. His scent was so nice and rxing. She closed the wardrobe back and put on his shirt and they barely reach her thighs but she didn’t care, as long as she was alone with Shane in the house.
Shane had dismissed his maids some months ago and they onlye once in a week to clean the mansion. He does his cooking himself while La helps at times. He rented a mini house for Lady Macbeth and she was more than happy and thankful.
La descended the stairs, sounds of ps from her slippers could be heard as she walked down the rails.
She sighted Shane in the dinning room, by the fridge. He was backing her and couldn’t see her as he gulped down the content of a bottle water.
She walked over to him slowly and steathily, she made to hug him unannounced. ” I can see you, so stop your childish ys. I ain’t in the mood for them ” He said curtly and La stopped dead on her tracks.
