    He released her slowly but she held his arms for support as she bnced her stance on the ground. ” Thanks ” She muttered as she raised her head to him.


    ” So?… where were you headed before? ” He asked gently as he dipped his hands into his pockets. ” Yeah, I was, actually on my way to call you and Mirah down for dinner ” She exined and Shane only nodded in response.


    ” Um… I should go call Mirah now ” La added when Shane didn’t give a reply. With that, she walked away from him while Shane continued his walk to the kitchen, he met with Lady Macbeth who was just on her way out of the kitchen.


    ” Let me help you with this ” Shane offered as he collected the tray containing some dishes she was carrying. ” Sir… ” Before Lady Macbeth couldplete her word, Shane had walked away with the tray. Lady Macbeth was a bit taken aback by his action, but she smiled anyways, d that he’s gradually changing.


    La walked back to the dinning room with Mirah and the duo were more than suprised when they saw Shane setting the table in ce of Lady Macbeth.


    ” Wow ” La muttered still staring at the scene together with Mirah. ” Hey!, you two are here already ” Lady Macbeth called on seeing them, and that turned Shane’s attention to them and he smiled lightly at them.


    ” Are you two not hungry? ” Lady Macbeth voice jolted them out of their trances, and with that they made their way to the dinning table. They had their seat and Shane also joined them on the seat right next to La.


    Lady Macbeth made to leave but Shane stopped her as he held her hand gently,, ” You should eat with us ” He stated, shocking the hell out of the girls. Lady Macbeth wasn’t left out as she stared at him unbelievably.


    Did he just say that? ” Me?… eat.. here? ” She stuttered and Shane nodded. She sat down still astonished by his behaviour. They watched as he personally helped her dish her food into a te, granting them the greatest shock of their life as they stared on at him unable to believe the fact that he was truly the one sitting before them.


    With this, they all ate in silence tho the threedies kept stealing nces at Shane frequently while he atefortably, unbothered about the fact that he got three pairs of eyes staring at him at several intervals.

    Shane was finally done with his food while La was only left with some few leftovers. Shane wiped his mouth with a napkin and then dropped it on the table.


    He got up from his seat and La looked up at him. ” Um.. La when you’re done with your meal, could you please see me in my suite? ” He asked, a little bit polite with his words.


    ” Um.. sure ” La replied and he let out a simple smile before walking away. ” He allows you in his suite? ” Lady Macbeth asked like she was suprised and La nodded.


    ” Wow! he never allows anyone else apart from his personal guard and us in there ” She exined. ” Well, I’ve never been in his suite before ” Mirah muttered and Lady Macbeth let out a silent chuckle.

    ” I’m here ” La announced as she entered Shane’s Suite and met him sitted on one of the couches with aptop sitting on his thighs.


    ” Hey ” He called and then dropped hisptop elsewhere as La got to him. La sat down on a couch, right next to his. ” So, I’m here… ” La said and Shane cleared his throat. ” Um.. about today, at the wedding… ” He started and then paused a bit, just to study La’s expression and she had an anticipating look on.


    ” When I pecked your lips … ” He paused again and then went on without waiting for a reply. ” I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean to do that,, I just had to, you know to avoid suspicions.. ” He stated and La nodded before talking. ” It’s fine, I understand “.


    ” And, about the money as agreed would be sent to your ount by tomorrow ” He added. ” So, when is the contract ending? ” La asked as her breathing suddenly went from calm to a bit intense one.


    ” It’s ending tomorrow, but you’re free to leave anytime you want ” He said and La muttered an * oh * before nodding. ” Are you okay? ” Shane asked as he noticed her sudden changed expression.


    ” It’s nothing, I’m fine… I’m totally fine ” She muttered. ” Um… I should take my leave now ” La muttered and Shane nodded and with that, she walked out of his suite.


    She walked out in thoughts. Are they really leaving tomorrow? She badly wants to stay for a day more, but Mirah’s definitely going to ask her about when they are to leave. She would just tell her the contract is ending in two days from now. She walked into their room and just as thought, Mirah stood up abruptly from the bed and walked over to her.


    ” So, when are we leaving? ” Mirah asked at once. ” Um.. the contract is ending in about two days from now ” She lied and Mirah nodded as she sighed in relief. ” I’m d, I can’t wait to leave, I miss our workmates  She gushed as she jumped on the bed.


    ” You seem really happy that we’re leaving! ” La said more like a question and Mirah nodded. ” Of course, I am, I can’t wait for us to start college,, but before then, I have to make sure I pack enough bowls of ice cream with me, I’ve grown so addicted to the ice creams here in just some few days ” She gushed. La shook her head at her childishness before walking over to her on the bed.


    *** Next Morning ***


    ” So, you lied to me? ” Mirah asked as she burst in through the door.


    ” What.. are you talking about? ” La raised her head from her phone.


    ” us said the contract is ending today and we can leave today if we want to, why did you lie? ” Mirah rushed at once.


    ” I’m sorry ” La muttered with a sigh.


    Mira walked over to her and then sat down on the bed beside her.


    ” See,, I really want us to leave cause I’m scared,, we are all d that the wedding happened sessfully… But, we could still get caught now,, what if Brielle’s parents suddenly get in contact with her and then she finds out someone had reced her,, I know she would definitely find outter but that would be solved by her together with Shane.. we don’t want to witness it,, so we have to hurry… ”


    ” And, we should start schooling immediately, we missed out a term already and I didn’t see any reason for us to stay here any longer, we did our job and we got our pay, and as per the contract, we ate to leave ” Mirah exined.


    ” I know,, you’re right, we should leave… I just don’t know why I would want us to stay a bit longer when we definitely have no home here ” She said and Mirah nodded.


    ” Alright, we would leaveter in the evening then ” La said and Mirah smiles brightly.


    ” This is exactly why I love you baby ” She said and dramatically blew her a kiss and La let out a chuckle.


    ” We should start packing our bags now ” La said and Mirah nodded. With this, they both got to work.


    Tho, she doesn’t want to leave now, but she’s a bit d everything hase to an end, see wouldn’t have to disguise as someone else othe than her.


    She’s relieved of the stress now.

    ” And… done ” us said as La finished signing the contract agreement, stating the fact that the contract has ended.


    ” And ording to the contract, Miss La would no longer be of service to us,, you’re free now and thanks so much ” us said an La let out a little smile.


    ” So, the two parties are to part ways and never meet again ” us added and this time the duo raised their heads.


    La took a nce at Shane and he did the same. Thier eyes met but they looked away immediately.


    ” Thanks so much Miss ” Shane thanked and La smiled. ” You’re wee Sire ” La replied. Just like two business partners who had just finished signing a contract with the other party.


    ” So?… ” La trailed off.


    ” Yeah, a driver is waiting for you two outside ” Shane said as he led the way out and they followed him behind.


    A guard guided La and Mirah to a car waiting for then and after entering the car. La let her head out of the car’s window and her eye met with Shane’s.


    Shane waved lightly at her and she noticed the band she had given him the day they both went out on his wrist and she smiled widely, returning the wave.


    The car was ignited an it began to move away slowly. La’s eyes never left Shane’s as the driver drove off slowly and she noticed a hint of sadness on his face tho it wasn’t that obvious and clear, so she wasn’t sure of what she had saw.


    The car finally drove out of sight and La let out a sigh. ” Contract ended! ” She muttered.
