Ten


    Today Harry and I will be going for my appointment andter for some baby''s shopping. It''s 5am


    and I''m sleepless. I''m turning into an insomniac! I hold my tummy and caress it as if the baby can


    be seen as I think of how it would feel with its daddy here.


    I sigh. A girl can always dream. Sydney and I are just never meant to be.


    I take a cracker from my bedside table and take a bite before the morning sickness starts. I check


    the clock to find it''s only five minutes past six.


    Should I go for a run? NO! I don''t want the same incidences happening again. I still can''t get over


    the fact that the person I had to save was the person responsible for all my morning sicknesses!


    What makes me furious is that he''s enjoying a good night sleep with his fiancé while I''m here up like


    an insomniac and trying to have at least an hour of sleep.


    Talk about unfair lives.


    I wipe a tear furiously and stare at the wall. One minute passes and I startughing. Is this how


    pregnancy feels like? Am I going insane? Is it okay to crave for some ice cream right know?


    ''Aaarrrggghh'' I let out a frustrated noise as I clutch my hair. I hate this feeling. I want Sydney to give


    me a big hug and lots of good white chocte. Wait.. What?


    I get out of bed and head towards Harry''s room. At least he''ll know if I''m really insane.


    I knock on his door and a minuteter it opens revealing a very sleepy Harry with only pajama


    pants. Looks like he just wore it before getting the door.


    "You look like shit." He says while taking my hand. This has been happening for almost a week now.


    "Don''t even start. You might receive all the curses I want to throw at someone." I follow him to bed


    and cuddle with him. He ys with my hair and soon I drift into a dreamless sleep.

    The ride to the clinic is so short and I''m so happy for that. Or maybe Harry''s just goodpany. I


    see other cars and start hopping this will be a short visit.


    Harry takes my hand and I give him a small smile. "It''s going to be okay babe. I''m here." I smile


    gratefully at him and we walk in silence. A nurse directs us to the waiting area after confirming our


    appointment.


    I think about how my baby would look like. Wish she has his beautiful green eyes. I scowl at that


    thought. That would always remind me of him. So a very big NO!


    I stare nkly at the te holding Dr Greene''s name. Dr. Greene works at the hospital on the


    weekends but goes to her own private practice during the weekdays. People say she''s the best


    gynecologist in LA so she''s really needed around.


    What''s taking long inside there? I let out a deep breath to calm myself down and take a magazine


    talking about pregnancy.


    "Isabe Styles. Dr. Greene is ready to see you now."


    Harry holds my hand making me halt. "Are you okay?  I cane with." I smile at him and nod at


    him. He''s been with me since I told him about my pregnancy. He has the right to go in with me.


    We get up from our seats and head towards Dr. Greene''s office. Another couplees out and I


    stop in my tracks when I identally hit them.


    "Great! Once you see someone, they''ll be popping out of everywhere." A female''s voicees out.


    I look up to see Bianca. Her eyes hold an amusement which makes me smile. Does she have to be


    so good?


    I look to her side.


    Sydney.


    I thought the novels I read overdid the scenario but I feel the time stop and my heart does this so


    weird thing and for once I think I might be developing a heart problem. I take in a deep breath.


    ''What''s wrong with you Be?'' My mind scolds me. I ced a fake smile.


    "Mr. Kings. It''s good to see you." No it''s not. You should be here with me. I avert my eyes to Bianca


    who seems to be checking Harry out. Now what? Are these people really engaged? I hope not.


    "Yeah, me too. We seem to be bumping into each other frequently." He holds a smirk which holds a


    secret meaning.


    "Yeah. So many indeed." I say as I tug on Harry''s shirt. "Harry and I would love to chat but we''re


    supposed to get inside. The doctor''s waiting." Harry says a quick ''Hi'' as we get in.


    "What just happened?" Harry asks once we are inside in a hushed tone. "You guys were looking at


    each other as though you were in a challenge daring the other something. And the tension, damn! I


    don''t wanna experience that again." I giggle at his expression but say nothing.


    No one knew about the baby''s dad and I wanted to keep it that way.


    Thirty minutester we are out of the office and we head out. "I can''t believe I got to hear her


    heartbeats. God! I can''t wait to see her or him."


    Harry takes me into his arms and gives me a tight hug. "I know your greatest fear is if you''ll be a


    great mom. You want to know something? I know you''ll be the best. I know how you are. You hate


    people but you love so much those close to you. The baby will get so much love from you." He


    gives me a big smile making me smile too.


    "Of course. He or she will have me too. After all I''ll be the best uncle in the world." He says in a


    cocky tone and Iugh at this. Harry''s the best best friend anyone could wish for.


    We go to the lobby only to find Sydney and Bianca looking at something in a phone. I avert my gaze


    so fast and from the conner of my eyes I see Bianca get up.


    "Would you guys like to join us for some lunch somewhere?" I look at Harry who sees my hesitation


    and tries to decline but looks like Bianca is so persistent.


    "Actually we''re going for some shopping for the baby then we have some things to do." I exin


    which is a lie. After shopping were going to have azy day at home.


    "Okay we''ll join. We were actually talking about some items we''ll need." Bianca decides.


    "You''re pregnant?" At the same time Sydney asks that. My eyes quicklynd on Sydney''s face


    which holds an unreadable expression. Oh, Sydney!


    "Yes I am." I ce a fake smile.


    "Congrattions to the both of you then." Sydney says with a small smile. Harry tries to say


    something but I secretly gesture for him not to say anything.


    "We have to go. Something came up at the office." Sydney says in a cold voice and somehow I


    know it''s because of the news. ''You''ll be mine Isabe Styles''. I remember that promise but he''s an


    engaged man for heaven''s sake.


    "But you said no office today." Bianca says in a childlike manner with a pout. I internally roll my


    eyes.


    "We should get going. Nice to see both of you." I say to them and Harry and I immediately turn and


    head out to the car.


    We drive in silence for about five minutes before Harry speaks.
