Astra woke up the next morning in a very excited mood. She felt like she was in a very good mood. She wanted the date to go very well without any hitches. She took her bath and started to get ready for the shopping spree. She was already having breakfast when Stephanie called her.


    “Hello Stephanie,” Astra said when she picked up the call.


    “Hello, Astra. Are you ready to start going shopping now?” Stephanie asked her and Astraughed. To think that she thought her friend would not have the strength to go shopping since she was pregnant.


    “You are more eager for this dress than I am Stephanie,” Astra said with augh. It was a little funny how she could be.


    “Whatever you say Astra, I just want to get clothes, that is all,” Steph said and Astraughed.


    “I will be ready in an hour, ” Astra said to her friend before she disconnected the call.


    After the call, Astra looked at her phone and she saw a text from Nichs. It was as cheesy as the first one, but the thing was that she loved cheesy messages very much.

    Astra felt like she could melt from all the butterflies. Their rtionship was so rushed and done with so much sex that they never really had the time to date. They met and it was a whirlwind after that, they fell in love and it felt just right to get married and so they did it, they began to know each other more while they were married and it was one of the reasons why they did notst for long.


    Astra wanted to text Nichs in reply, but he changed his mind and concluded that he wanted to talk to him on the phone instead. Astra called his line and he picked up on the first ring.


    “Hello beautiful,” Nichs said as he picked up the call, and Astra smiled. She could not help the blush that covered her cheeks.


    “Hello handsome. I cannot wait to see you this evening. I just say your text. Is that what friendship implies?” Astra asked. She was joking and being cheeky.


    “I think we both know that friendship is not for us. So I have gone up a bit, we are flirting now, that is perfect for us. Just so you know, I am going to ask you to be my girlfriend pretty soon,” Nichs said and Astra sighed on the chair. It felt like she was having her first rtionship all over again, it was all innocence and signs of love. She almost forgot that she was already five months pregnant.


    “This soon? We are just having our first date today,” Astra said. She tried her best to sound appalled.


    “Yes this soon. We are expecting our second child,” Nichs said with augh.


    “I miss you,” Astra replied. She truly did miss him. She had missed him for the years that they had not been together, for the months that they had not touched each other, for the amount of time that it seemed like love was not even an option.

    “I better start to get ready for our big date. I am already so excited,” Astra said and Nichsughed.

    “I will, a alright then, have a nice day,”  Nichs said before he disconnected the call. Astra sighed and held the phone in her hands even after Nichs was done with the call.


    “Your daddy can be very sweet though. He loves you very much,” Astra said while running her stomach, she was talking to her child.


    Astra went about her various chores with a smile on her face and in about thirty minutes, Stephanie called her.


    “I am outside your house. We do not have any time to waste,” Stephanie said in the phone. Astraughed at her friend but came down to meet her.


    “Alright, girl. Let us go shopping!” Steph shouted as Astra entered into her car.


    “You really should be the one on the date,” Astra said and her friend’s mood seemed to shift before she smiled again.


    “Oh please, I have left love for you folks, enjoy the dating pool while I enjoy my break from it,” Steph said. Astra knew that her friend was still going through some PTSD because of Ray and how he had affected her with the money and all. It will be hard for her friend to love again. She had really loved Ray and it must have been traumatizing to see that Ray did not love the her but he had been obsessed with Astra instead. It would do things to her self esteem. Astra was a bit scared that Ray would destroy her rtionship with Stephanie, but their friendship seemed to weather the storm.


    They arrived at the shopping mall in one piece and they were ordered in and attended to on hand and foot because the people knew Stephanie and she did spend a lot on clothes.


    “So we need something sexy, chic, but also still modest enough for a pregnant woman. Since the date is supposed to end in marriage, you need to try not to look too hot,” Stephanie said.


    “You do know I am going on a date with Nichs right?” Astra asked but her friend ignored her.


    “The perfect color for your skin right now is red. It will look good on your skin tone and it will give off the, I am too sexy to be alive vibes,” Stephanie said to her as they entered the store. Astraughed at her friend again. Astra was excited herself, but she did not share that level of enthusiasm with her.


    “I am pretty sure I am not the sexiest woman to be alive. I do not even have the strength to look it, I am five months pregnant, Stephanie!” Astra told her friend.


    “Regardless. I am eight months gone. Both you and Nichs need a party to celebrate your getting back together, a huge one at that. You need to look perfect for this date, it will determine how quickly I will get to throw that party. With the kind of dress I am going to get you, before this babyes, you and Nichs will be married,” Stephanie said and Astra shook her head.


    “I think I will take a blue dress to show that I am still calm and cool. I do not want to rush our rtionship this time. We will take our time and be sure before going into anything, and nobody is getting married anytime soon,” Astra said to her friend.Content ? N?velDrama.Org.

    “We should get shopping then,” Stephanie said and all by dragged her into the shop. The two pregnant women shopped for more than two hours because Stephanie was simply dissatisfied with anything that she wore.


    “You would think that I am shopping for my wedding dress,” Astrained with a huff. She liked the dress that she was currently wearing, a sky blue gown that flowed from the bottom of her breasts to her knees. It made her feel like a princess, but Stephanie felt that the dress was mid and so she did not get it.


    “It might as well be your wedding dress, Astra,” Stephanie said and Astra sat down on the dressing chair, she did not n on wearing anything else.
