Shane pulled out three parchment-like scrolls. Their surfaces glowed faintly as he took them out.
These were treasures he had obtained quite some time ago and didn''t dare to use them unless really needed. After all, he wasn''t sure where to get them again.
Unfurling the first scroll, the Scroll of Vitality, Shane held it in front of him. As he channeled a small amount of Spirit Points into the it, the scroll disintegrated into golden dust that swirled around him like a warm breeze.
''This feels really like a game or something…'' Shane thought as he watched the scroll effects happen.
A surge of energy coursed through his body, spreading outward to his limbs and chest.
''Hu~''
He clenched his fists, feeling a newfound vigor in his body. His muscles felt taut, as though every fiber of his being had been strengthened. The ache from his previous battles melted away, reced by a steady pulse of endurance.
"This is incredible…" Shane muttered as he flexed his hands.
His breathing became more efficient, and he felt as though he could run for miles without tiring. He knew that this scroll''s magic would allow him to endure prolongedbat… It was certainly a perfect time to use it as the challenges became more taxing.
Shane didn''t have a lot of time left, so he swiftly continued.
Next, he unfolded the Scroll of Precision. Its surface glowed with a silvery-blue hue. Activating it, Shane was enveloped in a soft, pale light.
Just like what the description said, his vision sharpened, and the world seemed to slow down for a moment. He could see every detail around him, from the faint scratches on his mede to the subtle movements of the air.
He took out one of his Blight Fang Daggers and casually tossed it toward a small rock across the arena. The de struck dead center, embedding itself with perfect uracy.@@novelbin@@
''Nice…''
"This is sweet…" Shane mused as he could help but feel good about this.
His marksmanship was already impressive before, but now, he feels invincible about this. Every throw, every strike—he knew it wouldnd exactly where he intended.
Finally, Shane activated the Scroll of Insight, and this time, the energy that enveloped him was different. It felt cool and calming, like a gentle stream of water washing over his mind.
His surroundings seemed toe alive with details he had never considered before…
He took a deep breath, closing his eyes.
When he opened them, he felt more attuned to the world around him. This actually included the Survivor Skills that he had learned. Thanks to the Scroll of Insight, he felt as if he could use any of his skills a lot better!
"This is perfect…" Shane murmured as he gripped his mede tightly. He wasn''t sure what kind of zombies he''d be facing next, but he knew for a fact that they were more troublesome than the Spitter and Screamer Zombies.
''Is it going to be Tyrant? No, it''s too early… Maybe some sort of Crypt Crawler or even some pack of wolves.'' Shane mused.
Nheless, a part of him still felt that the corrosive acid of the Spitters and the invisible attacks of the Screamers were the most troublesome attacks of Zombies.
Then, as the effects of the scrolls settled into his body, the system announcement chimed…
[ Level 31 initiated. Opponents: Eight Fire Zombies. ]
''Fire Zombies?'' Shane frowned as these Zombies weren''t around his region, so he hadn''t faced them before.
From the edges of the arena, eight figures emerged.
Their appearance was still terrifying yet eerily mesmerizing with how they glowed with fire. Continue reading on empire
Indeed, the Fire Zombies were humanoid, but their skin was cracked and glowing like moltenva.
mes faintly appeared around their bodies, and their hollow eyes burned with an otherworldly red light. To be exact, their eyes felt like a red gem at this time…
''Are they high-tier Zombies?'' Shane wasn''t sure. However, since Earth Zombie, another element-type Zombie, was a high-tier, then he could only guess that these Fire Zombies were also high-tier…
Then, as they moved, smoke rose from their mouths with every ragged "breath," or at least, that was what it looked like, since they shouldn''t be breathing.
Anyway, Shane warily looked at their fingers that ended in ws since they glowed with incredible heat, and he felt that these hot ws were capable of slicing through metal.
Then, as the Fire Zombies approached him, each of their step left charred footprints on the ground.
''They''re surely hot…'' Shane thought as the air around them glistened with heatwaves, making the arena feel like an inferno.
''That''s just eight of them… There would be more of themter…'' Shane wryly smiled as he recalled this.
Anyway, Shane wasted no time.
The Fire Zombies roared in unison as they reached about 30 meters of him…
Their cries were, of course, unnatural… It was apanied by a burst of mes erupting from their bodies!
The arena temperature spiked instantly, and Shane activated Veiled Steps, his form bing semi-transparent as he moved silently to the side.
The first Fire Zombie dashed, shing at where Shane had been moments ago. With Spectral Tracker, Shane identified its weak point—a faintly glowing core in its chest, surrounded byyers of molten flesh.
"Time to put that precision to use," Shane muttered, throwing one of his Blight Fang Daggers. The de pierced the core, and the Fire Zombie erupted in a fiery explosion, sending embers flying.
Boom!
Two Fire Zombies attacked simultaneously…
"Graahh!"
Their wed hands shed through the air. Shane activated Five-Meter Jump, propelling himself upward as their ws collided beneath him, sending sparks flying.
Midair, he shed downward with his Light mede, activating Inferno Burst. The fiery de sent a torrent of mes crashing into one of the zombies, engulfing itpletely.
Boom!
''Die!''
As hended, Shane rolled to avoid a stream of fire spat by another zombie.
He activated Energy Wave, sending a pulse of energy toward the attacking zombie. The st struck perfectly, knocking it back and destabilizing its fiery aura.
