Kai’s POV
“So you found your mate and did not tell me, huh ?”, Zeke asked, his voice clearly showing that he felt hurt.
I flipped over the pancake and did not reply till I had made a pile of 20 pancakes and poured a handsome amount of maple syrup just like my brother loved them.
“Yes”, I finally replied and served him the pile.
“When were you going to tell me, if at all you nned to let me know ?”, he questioned.
“I wanted you to know but after the Dark Overlord’s death. However, that idea too stood void when I found you hugging my mate’s Beta’s locker. I was going to tell you after you found your mate”, I answered as I ced my own pile of pancakes on the table.
“Mate’s Beta ? Who is your mate ?”, he pat queried again.
“Mates”, I corrected him.
“Huh ?!”, he eximed shocked. “How many ?”, he asked.
“Two”, I answered.
“Don’t you trust me, Kai ?”, Zeke asked woefully.
“I do but I don’t trust the ones who torment you and basically surround you all the time”, I exined.
“Fair enough but when will you introduce me to your mates and my mate ?”, Zeke asked with a wistful look on his face.
“Tomorrow go and figure out if he is really your mate or not at the university first. I don’t want to expose you to anyone before the Dark Overlord is killed. Try to keep a low profile”, I replied.
“He ? My mate is a he ?!”, he blurted out in shock.
“If he is your mate”, I emphasized. “And he is a gem of a person so shut up. His mother was the seer who lost her life yesterday. He is too broken right now”, I informed. “I would advise you to take things slow with him for now. You don’t want him to know that you jumped all the steps and humped his locker”, I teased him.
“Hey ! It was my Lycan, ok !!”, he protested.
“Yeah, yeah ! Whatever helps you sleep at night”, I chuckled and got a stinging jab on my side with his fork.
“Asshole”, Zeke rolled his eyes and dug back to his pancakes.
“So about the war”, I started on the topic of the day.
“By the end of this month expect a guest any time”, he mumbled with his mouth full.
The “guest” he was referring to was obviously the evil Dark Overlord.
Suddenly, the door crashed open and a dazed, blood coloured eyed Beta stormed in, only to grab Zeke by his cor and crush his lips with his.
The olive skinned, violet eyed boy was shell shocked but soon enough he was melting in his aggressor’s arms and contently reciprocating the love.
“MATE !”, they both chimed together.
“RYAN !!”, Dominic’s breathless voice came through and behind him Be came running too as she eximed, “Kai !!”, at the same time.
“I will deal with youter, Beta but you, Mr Grayson are in deep, deep trouble. I know you have heard this phrase before and know the repercussions too. You just stirred the giant pot of causing shit. Brace for impact”, Dominic gritted out.
“Indeed”, Be concurred.
“Not you too, babe”, I whined and tried to hug her but I was not prepared for the powerful punch that hit a nice spot in my face, knocking me out instantly on the t, narrow floor.
“I am going to beat the ever loving shit out of you, mate”, Be growled before straddling my waist.

“Traitor !!”, Domz used and got a flippin middle finger in return.
“I missed you”, she whispered as she nuzzled her face in the crook of my neck. “You were not there in the morning and I panicked that you left us again”, she brokenly mumbled.
“Baby, my brother needed help and I had to rush to his rescue”, I cooed as I caressed the back of her head. “I intended to get back soon after settling this doofus”, I said while pointing to a pink cheeked Zeke who was trying to stand far away from Ryan.
“I guess we need introductions”, Ryan finally spoke up.
“Oh yeah sure”, I said and lifted myself with Be still straddling my torso, refusing to get down like a spoilt child as if I would leave without her. I am not going anywhere !
“Well ?”, Ryan urged.
“Umm yes. So Zeke, meet Dominic. He is the Vampire King and the Dark Overlord’s son and- …. ”
“Oh fucking shit ! So you are the one !! Damn ! That is very cool. My mission was to find you only”, Zeke blurted out before he realized that- “Oh no ! I cussed in front of the King. I am sorry, Your Majesty. I did not mean to offend yo- …. “, he bowed and I took the opportunity to kick his ass so that he went straight butting his head towards Ryan.
This was today morning’s revenge. Hee haa !
While weughed at my ring Beta cousin, Ryan gathered him in his arms and rasped, “You don’t need to bow to anyone, baby”, he tilted up Zeke’s chin. “You are like all of us and our equal. Dominic is just a teenage asshole, so you really don’t need to be so formal around any of us. I am Ryan, by the way. This pig’s Beta”, Ryan introduced himself.
“I knew that I had such a rotten Beta but geez, thank you, Ryan for all the respect that you could give”, Domz sassed as he wrapped an arm around my neck.
“Wait a sec. So you two are Kai’s mates ?”, Zeke asked while gesturing towards Be and Dominic.
“Yes. We are his lucky mates”, Be chuckled. “Hi ! I am Be Diaz, the Princess of the Lycan Pack”, she smiled and hugged my cousin instead of shaking his outstretched hand.
“Good to know you all ! I am Zeke”, he chirped. “The Dark Overlord’s present Beta. Kai’s father and mine were real brothers”, he formally introduced himself and immediately raised eyebrows responded back at him.
Everyone’s defenses seemed to have gone up, causing Zeke to put his arms up in surrender.
“Woah ! I am not here to cause trouble in your lives. I am actually a secret dissident in the heinous viin’s camp”, he quickly exined himself.
“He was the one who helped me st away the Dark Overlord’s Kingdoms and army, guys. He is not a threat”, I added.
“He will still be kept under strict observation, regardless of the fact that he is Ryan’s mate and Kai’s brother”, Dominic ruled out and red back at me when I gave him the “look”.
Before I could give him a piece of my mind, suddenly Dominic’s Gamma, Dn dashed in and panted out, “We all need to get back to the castle ASAP. The Dark Overlord’s soldiers are headed this way. We don’t have much time !”, he urged.
“You guys go. He ising to meet me for sure. I need to stay back”, Zeke announced.
“No way ! You areing with us. I am not going to let you stay with my mother’s murderer for even a second !”, Ryan growled.
“Just trust me, mate. Please. I promise I will join you as soon as possible. Now hurry and go away”, Zeke forced us out before he ran back to his own dorm.
“Please stay safe”, Ryan pleaded before Dominic dragged him back with him.
Zeke’s POV
“Wee back home, baby”, a familiar viinous voice boomed throughout my newly allotted dorm.
I wanted to puke but I chose to force back the bile that was threatening toe out and tried to look calm as I ced the grocery bags on the kitchen’s b.
It was ast minute thought to shorten my time with the devil and exin my absence from the dorm.
“Your Highness, what can I get for you ?”, I asked as I took out two sses.
“Just get your pretty self here, boy. I missed you”, the devil purred, which was more like a disgusting grunt which creeped me out but I knew better than to disobey this perv*rted bastard.
I let his filthy lips and hands touch me, burning my skin painfully with his evil and impure touches.
The only thought that continuously kept running in my mind was how disgusted would Ryan feel when he woulde to know about my dirty past and present.
“I don’t like your mate”, the nightmare huskily said in my ear suddenly before he sucked on my neck. I stilled and felt my breath hitch.
He knows ?
Did he see Ryan and the others ?
Fuck ! I am so royally screwed and so are the others if he found us out.
Kai’s POV
“OUCH !!”, Ryan suddenly yelled as he jumped up from the car seat before he suddenly buried his head in his arms as if he was badly hit. “Shit ! This hurts”, he cried out as another jolt of pain shot down his spine.
“What the hell is happening ?”, Dominic worriedly shouted from the driver’s seat.
“I don’t know !!”, Ryan cried out as he suddenly clenched his ribs this time.
“It’s your mate, Ryan !”, Dn eximed. “He is hurting and hence, so are you !!”, he quickly reasoned out.
“Fuck ! I am going to save him”, Ryan dered before another spasm of pain hit him.
“No Ryan ! The Dark Overlord will kill you !!”, Dominic shouted.
“I don’t fucking care. I am going to him. Stop the car, Domz or else I am jumping out of it”, Ryan gave his Vampire King the ultimatum. “You of all people know, how it feels when a mate is in trouble”, he added.
Dominic sighed before he suddenly reversed back the car and drove back towards the campus.
“Yes and you are lucky that I do. However, I am not letting you go alone”, Dominic replied before whizzing away the car, or rather flying it on the road.
“Thank you, Domz. You are a good friend and I am going to kill that son of a bitch”, Ryan swore through gritted teeth.
“Agreed”, we all chimed.
“But how ?”, Dn voiced out. It seemed like he was the only voice of reason amongst us.
“He wants me, then he will get me”, Dominic replied with a shrug. “You guys rescue Zeke out of there”, he added.
“No !”, Be and I shouted together.
“Yes. I am the perfect bargaining chip”, Dominic replied. “I can not bear to see Ryan devastated again and lose an important family member of Kai. His family is my family now and I am not letting a family member get hurt”, he resolutely ruled.
“I am calling reinforcements then”, Dn more of stated than asked.
“No. We will not expose our coven members and warriors to the human world, nor shall we engage in open war”, Dominic gave out his judgement. “You guys stay ready behind the wheel to flee with Zeke. I have got some unfinished business to handle with my sperm donor”, he added.
“Are you sure, Domz ?”, I worriedly asked as I covered his hand with mine in silent support before kissing its back.
“Yes, I am, babe !! C’mon let’s do this !”, Dominic suddenly jammed his foot hard on the breaks before pulling over near Zeke’s real dorm room.
