Chapter 7


    Alissa woke up with the sound of her cell phone ringing. She looked at her wall clock and saw the time,


    it was 8:30 am.


    Who can call me at this time?


    She thought to herself. She picked up her cell phone and answered it.


    Alissa: Hello?


    Unknown Person: Is this Alissa Lawrence?


    Alissa: Umm...Yes..


    Unknown Person: I am speaking from William Enterprises. I wanted to inform you that you got the job


    and you can start from tomorrow. You have to be here at 10:00 am sharp. I hope I made myself clear"


    Alissa: Oh my god. Thank you. And yes I will reach at 10:00 am sharp. Thank you.

    Unknown Person: Have a nice day ma''am.


    And with that the call came to an end. She was staring at her cell phone with a shocked look. She was


    holding the cell phone very tightly. She looked at Jade. She was sleeping.


    "WAKE UP JADE!!!" She shouted with excitement.


    "JESUS SAVE US....WHAT HAPPENED?" Jade woke up and said.


    Alissaughed and gave her a bone crushing hug.


    "What is so special today?" Jade asked. Curious to know what the matter was. Cause Alissa hardly


    ever get so excited. She must have got this much happy only when she got her first sry. That also


    she spent on her sister. Almost.


    She started to show her biggest smile and said "I got the job" She said it so quickly that it took Jade a


    moment or few to realise what she said. Her lips got into an ''O'' shape and she started to squeal. She


    jumped on Alissa and said


    "I am so happy for you sister"


    "Listen, we are going for shopping. Also, I will buy some new clothes for me, so I could always look


    presentable at work"


    Jade nodded. First, Alissa took a shower and then Jade. They ate their breakfast and went to


    shopping. As they lived in New York it was kind of hard for them to keep up with other people''s


    mentality and their higher standards.


    New york city, Rochester, the ce where they live is a nice city. There are good malls even where you


    could buy good stuff and New York is also good in fashion. It is a benefit though for them it is hard


    sometimes to afford expensive things.


    They both entered in ''Vige Gate Square''


    It is a nice mall, although little expensive but when will the savings help. Right?


    They went in different shops but some were not of their type and some were too expensive. They


    entered in the other one. There were clothes which she could afford. Alissa and Jade were eying every


    dress. Finally, Alissa started to get her types of dresses which she needed.


    She tried some dresses and finally figured out which are the one that she wanted. She bought them


    and was ted. They both went into a restaurant and ordered their food. They talked about some stuff.


    All the girly stuff though.


    "Hey, are you excited for your new job?" Jade asked.


    "Of course I am...Why wouldn''t I. It can be a turning point of my life after all" Alissa said. It really can be


    a turning point of her life. Jade''s eyes suddenly got freezed in one direction. She was just looking at


    someone.


    Alissa pped her hands in front of her and said "Whom are you looking at?" Jade just smirked and


    said "Look at that boy behind you" Alissa turned her face around and saw that there was a man in suit


    and tie and as she looked at his face her eyes almost popped out. Eric.


    He suddenly make an eye contact with them.


    Is he following me everywhere?


    Alissa thought. He started to walk towards them. "I guess you know him?" Jade asked.


    "My boss"


    Jade got up and said "I have to go to loo" Jade said and quickly left.


    Alissa turned around and he stood right behind her. Alissa swallowed hard. She let out a nervousugh


    and said "Hello sir"


    Eric sat in the chair next to her and said "Are you following me or what?" There was a brief silence.


    Alissa stared at him looking at his face. His blue eyes. His pink lips. His perfectly shaped nose. His hair


    nicely done, slit back.


    "Are you kinda obsessed with checking me out everytime or something" Eric said sarcastically.


    "Ah....um...no...and....I-I am not following you. Uh... Thank you for...um..the job" Alissa was stuttering


    and was finding it hard to form a sentence all of a sudden. It was a habit of her, when she stutter


    means she is nervous. She also have little bit of anxiety problem. Although, she never told this to


    anyone. But, yeah.


    "No need to say thank you. I just thought to bless someone by making their lives less difficult" He said it


    rudely.


    Ouch!!!!


    Alissa was kinda hurt by his words. He didn''t favour them by giving them this job. He smirked and got


    up from his chair and left. Jade came back and said "So what did he talked to you about?" Jade was


    curious to know but maybe Alissa wanted to kill that curiousness so she said "Just some stuff which


    you will not understand. So eat your food"


    Jade pouted but thought to let it go. Alissa thought about what her first day of office would be like. How


    will she handle her arrogant, rude and smart boss.
