After Xu Feng made the announcement, both ra and Lightning de immediately voiced their objection to the matter.@@novelbin@@
"I don''t wish to advance ahead, Sir." ra shook her head and shed a resolute expression. It was clear that she didn''te all the way out to the wilderness for the Vanquishing of remnants Hideout.
"I don''t even know what to search for, so I can''t advance ahead either." Lightning de chimed in, giving his excuse. But the truth was that he didn''t want to advance ahead and lose his chance to redeem himself.
How could there be redemption if Xu Feng can''t even see what he was doing?
Unfazed by their objections, Xu Feng red intensely at Lightning de, causing thetter to shudder and lower his head.
Afterward, he shifted his gaze to ra— this time in a friendly manner.
"ra, it''s because I trust you that I wanted you to advance ahead with de. He''s not perceptive enough but you are. Don''t you want to eradicate the remnants of the insurgent as soon as possible?" He asked softly.

"But why must you stay behind?" ra pursed her lips. "Isn''t it more efficient to work together?"
"We can also work efficiently by separating the task. These insurgents have be tricky ever since we caught them once, so they have split off the trails."
"Then why not us two team up and those two can team up?"
"I wanted to as well, but Eversoul is a Cleric like me. With me teaming up with her, I can assist her better." Xu Feng consoled her and lightly patted her shoulder.
"I''ve assigned you with de because I know you are no longer the weak girl from back then. You are now a capable Tier 2 Mage, and the faster we find their Hideout, the quicker we can rescue the victims."
Hearing the word, victims, ra''s expression underwent some changes. Memories of her being captivated alongside many shed through her mind.
With her fist clenched, ra nodded. "I understand, I will head to Willow Woods with de to search for clues."
"Good, if you find anything, just have de contact me. Also, you don''t have to be polite with me and treat de as you want. If he doesn''t listen to you, feel free to kill him. He''s immortal anyway."
"I will dlyply with the request."
As their conversation went on, Lightning de realized his situation might go from bad to worse. After all, he had gotten a gist of who ra was from browsing through the Game Forum.
''I swear I will strangle that Thunder Sword when I log out.'' He vowed silently once again for that damnable cousin of his who ruined his peaceful life.
While he was silently vowing, ra''s fierce and cold gaze consumed him.
"Let''s go, de. If you dare to dy or make a mistake, then don''t me me for not showing mercy." She dered solemnly.
Lightning de swallowed a mouthful of saliva before timidly nodded his head. "I will do my best."
"No, you won''t. You are going to do your best, not will." ra corrected and began walking to the right side path leading to Willow Woods.
Not daring to be slow, Lightning de quickly bid farewell to Xu Feng before following ra, afraid of angering her.
Shortly after the two of them left, Allison pointed at the bound monsters who seemed to be breaking out of their shackles soon.
"Eh, what about the monsters?" She asked, taking a few steps back.
Previously, she wasn''t that afraid because she got Lightning de taking the aggro and a domineering NPC like ra.
However, now there were just two Cleric left and she was a level 1. She had barely just created her character and was trying to understand the mechanics so where did she have the time to level up?
"Wow, can you be any more discriminating?" Watching her action, Xu Feng was baffled.
Realization quickly dawned upon Allison as she never forgot that he might be a Cleric, but he was a high level yer.
"Right, you''re at a high level since you can enter the city. So you can totally deal with them." She sped her hands and sighed in relief.
Death was not the end since they would respawn in a nearby town, but who the hell wants to die from their first fight?
"Am I your bodyguard or something?" Contrary to her disbelief, Xu Feng imposed a cold demeanor and shouted. "The monster is about to be unbound, so get moving and start fighting them. I won''t assist you."
"What?" Startled by the sudden cold tone, Allison nearly thought he got possessed.
Much to her surprise though, within that short second she was startled, Xu Feng was no longer present in the scene.
"Wait, where did you go?" Allison became rmed, her eyes wandering everywhere, hoping to search for him. Unfortunately, she didn''t even get much time to look when the monsters finally became unbound.
And the very first thing they did was locked eyes on Allison, who was not only weak, but also a Cleric.
"Haha, we can have a seat and talk things out, right?" She chuckled nervously and said sweetly.
GROWL!
What she got in response was an intense growling, followed by the swarming of the low hp monsters.
Since the dangerous people from earlier had all disappeared, these monsters'' predator instinct kicked in effectively. Without hesitation, they started pouncing and advancing toward Allison at a quick speed.
"Ugh, to hell with it!" Knowing that it was either a do or die situation, Allison no longer cared and began wielding her staff.
One after another, the Sacred Fireunched in all sorts of directions.
The advancing monsters quickly halted and gazed at the Sacred Fireing their way. Although most of them whiffed, some of the Sacred Fire was close enough to ze the monsters, effectively killing them.
Therefore, despite Allison simply firing her Sacred Fire wantonly and randomly, the monsters were afraid of actually approaching too close to her.
The closer they approached the source of the firing, the higher the chance they would be hit and killed in one shot.
"Don''t you daree close to me!" Allison shouted, her eyes shut tightly.
