Chapter 691: Your Beloved
In the mist-shrouded battleground, a vast, blood-red eye loomed, not joining the fray but scrutinizing from above.
"I seek the location of the Celestial Court''s Crown Prince," the Devil Eye responded calmly.
"Hurry!" the Great Mother barked viciously.
"Aren''t you the one who delights in death—be it demon, devil, or Immortal? This is your paradise; the more you fight, the stronger you be. What''s the rush?" the Devil Eye retorted.
The Great Mother sneered coldly, choosing not to address the question.
Her silence spoke volumes; the Devil Eye spoke the truth.
How could she care for a few dead demons? To her, they were mere sustenance. Tired of devouring demons, she now craved a feast of countless humans!
"Found him."
Within the swirling demon fog, the blood-red eye captured a silhouette in its pupil, amidst the bloody battlefield below. Yet, this was not the Crown Prince. She stood seven feet tall, a figure like a crimson whirlwind among the chaos, her presence causing the battlefield''s blood not to fall but to swirl towards her.
"How sly. Even the Great Mother hasn''t noticed someone stealing her spoils," the Devil Eye mused, its gaze deep and profound.
It watched the figure quietly, assimting the blood of the battlefield.
This was the steamy blood of Immortals, devils, and demons—ideal for crafting Mortal Dust Devil Blood.
"War indeed makes one wealthy quickly!" The War Princess felt this deeply as she continued her merciless ughter through the crowd of Immortals, devils, and demons.
Suddenly, a sinister gaze fell upon her. Stopping in her tracks, she looked up to find the Devil Eye watching her calmly through the blood and carnage.
To her surprise, the voice of the Devil Eye reached her ears, "Youngdy, the one you hold dear, he''s in the Great Dao Celestial Realm, isn''t he?"
Hearing this, the War Princess stood frozen.
"Ask how it knows!" Yun Xiao''s voice within her heart urged.
She nodded and posed the question to the Devil Eye.
The Devil Eye chuckled and shook its head. "I possess only this one eye, capable of seeing through all."
"You''ve gifted me the Sanguine Phantom, and now you''re probing my secrets further. Speak inly your intentions," the War Princess said.
"May I speak with your beloved?" the Devil Eye asked.
"Speaking to me is the same," she replied.
After a moment''s contemtion, the Devil Eye spoke with earnest depth, "No matter who he is, the Celestial Devil Abyss and I vow to support him. Ask him what he needs of me."
"Ah?" The War Princess thought she had misheard. She looked downward and asked, "Are you deaf? Did you not hear it im it sees through all? It knows better than anyone who is the best bet!"
"Alright... then what should I say?" the War Princess asked.
"Tell it to bide its time. Today, let the battle rage on, minimizing losses among the devils. When I need it, I will give themand," Yun Xiao instructed.
"Very well!"
The War Princess ryed Yun Xiao''s words to the Devil Eye.
The Devil Eye, seeming to have anticipated this, responded, "Please ry my thanks for his eptance."
"No need," the War Princess said.
"Why?" the Devil Eye asked.
"Because he himself has arrived," she suddenly pointed behind the Devil Eye, slightly haughty, "He hase for me."
As the Devil Eye turned its gaze upon hearing these words, through the swirling miasma and magic, the Azure Rain Sword Vessel appeared. A young man in white emerged from it.
Amid the howling wind, his ck hair billowed and his white robe remained untouched by dust, his divine countenance as if sculpted by the heavens.
The Devil Eye stared, its huge orb trembling, caught in the greatest shock and confusion of its existence.
Never had it been so utterly perplexed.
Yun Xiao spared it only a nce before swooping past, descending swiftly towards the battlefield!
The Devil Eye trembled anew, turning back again.
From then on, its gaze fixed manically on that singr figure in white, not blinking for even a moment.
?ι══????????══ι?
"Damn, that stinks!"
Yun Xiao had endured the Great Mother''s odor with his body double, but confronting it in person was still unbearable. He attached the Prison Warden Sigil to himself, finding immediate relief.
From his vantage point, Yun Xiao surveyed the battlefield—a veritable meat grinder where celestial forces shed amidst a storm of blood and viscera, neither side gaining the upper hand. The demons fought most ferociously, their desire for a paradise like the Celestial Court fueling their brutality.
"The losses are great on both sides! Keep fighting, harder and harder, fight to the death!" Yun Xiao muttered coldly, a smile tracing his lips as his gaze finally locked onto the Great Mother.
The Great Mother, having absorbed the majority of the death energy, swept across the battlefield with the stench of corpses and fresh blood, almost defying the heavens. She killed and feasted simultaneously.
"Let''s give her a little cleanse and see how she reacts."
With those words, Yun Xiao transformed into a streak of white light and stealthily approached the mountain of flesh and corpses.
Unconcerned with such a minor nuisance, the Great Mother, seemingly immortal in her own right, paid him no heed.
In a sh, Yun Xiao stood amidst the miasma of decay on her surface.
WHOOSH! He ced the Prison Warden Sigil on the fleshly mound.
Sizzling like fire, the Life Sigil burned away the stench of decay.
Caught in her frenzy, the Great Mother experienced a pleasure unknown in her lifetime, issuing a call so loud it echoed throughout the Celestial Court, bewildering countless Immortals, demons, and devils. It was perhaps the most deafening moan the world had ever heard—a sensation deep to the bone.
It felt like dislodging a massive chunk of earwax.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The flesh mountain trembled violently, its shaking intense.
"Ah, Agh, AGH!"
After several cries, the Great Mother''s massive body began to shrink, and in an instant, the mountain of flesh and corpses disappeared.
Standing before Yun Xiao was an eight-foot-tall giantess with waterfall-like hair and a slender body, her impossibly long legs memorable despite her not being strikingly beautiful—a sight one couldn''t easily forget.
At that moment, she was still trembling, her eyes as wide as bell ppers, fixed intently on Yun Xiao and the Prison Warden Sigil in his hand.
"This is, this is…" The Great Mother''s voice quivered, clearly recognizing the significance of the Life Sigil to her, much like a ghostly whisper of revtion.
"Don''t move." Yun Xiao, holding the Prison Warden Sigil in one hand and Heaven Burial Sword Soul in the other, took advantage of the Great Mother''s bewildered ecstasy. He thrust the sword into her abdomen!
"Uh?" The Great Mother frowned, her eyes narrowing into a cold re of displeasure.
But Yun Xiao was quick. His hand plunged into the Great Mother''s body, retrieving a silver-white orb of flesh.
That silver orb merged into Yun Xiao''s body and vanished. This was why he hade—to retrieve his body double!
"Are you in league with that fox?" The Great Mother''s brows shot up in suspicion.
She had not managed to consume Moon Fairy herself—a gnawing issue she couldn''t understand these past days.
"So what if I am?" Yun Xiao asked coolly.
The Great Mother''s face twisted with greed as her eyes immediately coveted the Prison Warden Sigil in Yun Xiao''s hand.
With a swift movement, she reached out to snatch the Life Sigil, clearly intending to im it as her own.
"You''re really not endearing," Yun Xiao shook his head.
He had given the Great Mother a chance, but her greed was overpowering. Her enlightenment was clearly less than that of Pale Revenant. Instead of purification, her first instinct was to grab.
Yun Xiao would not give a second chance to such a naturally greedy corpse demon. After all, in the world of devouring, being devoured or devouring others, having two was meaningless!
"Goodbye!"
BOOM! The Prison Warden Sigil suddenly transformed into the Runic Umbre. The absorbed miasma burst forth, striking the Great Mother''s face.n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om
BOOM! Once all the miasma had been expelled, the Great Mother was left facing nothing but a fog of decay.
The boy had vanished! And Moon Fairy was gone too!
"NOOOO!" The Great Mother gasped for air, then roared upwards, her face contorting into a demonic grimace, a testament to her rage.
None could fathom just how much she had been affected!
Below, the War Princess, while refining blood, watched the entire scene unfold.
"Follow me," Yun XIao''s voice rang out within her heart.
"Aren''t we continuing the blood refinement? What a waste," the War Princess remarked.
"There''s blood on the other battlefield too, and I need you there more. Let''s go!"
