Chapter 14 I wish you were my brother-inw
While Yandel was driving them home rachel got lost in thoughts as she stared outside the window
thinking of everything that had happened within the past two hours, she looked sideways to yandel and
he was just focused on the road, he turned to look at her too and gave her a reassuring smile as if
reading her mind for her need for affirmation he gently squeezed her hands on herps that were
fidgeting a little and she let him as she turned to the window.
While Ace went missing, she and Yandel had splitted ways, and she had called the police station
straight away, reporting a missing child and described Ace as a brte boy above 3''9 with green
eyes. She was hysterical that time. She felt like the whole world.is closing down on her.

gather her breathe.
"And where did he get missing?" The policeman asked.
"At Pivot street open cinema" Rachel said hastily losing her patience, she knew every second and
minute wasted was going to be put Ace in more and more danger and that made her heart drop.

"Look officer!!!.... just get your asses to the God damn cinema, every second wasted right now is
putting my brother in more danger so no more questioning. Because if anything happened to my
brother while you are here, ying an interviewer. You will have to answer to the Gracia’s” Rachel cuts

She stood outside the cinema hoping to see the police anytime soon, she had spent thest 30

"Hey Celi calm down alright, panicking and saying gibberish won''t look for him," Yande said, taking

description of Ace and also check their toilets, he could be using the toilet, ” Yandel.said authoritatively

"Alright,I will take my car and go search for him, Okay"...
He has been going around the streets back to back in search of Ace to no avail, but he didn''t give

On thest block, he decided to move slowing before going back to Araceli and joining the police

Yandel couldn''t stop himself from rushing to him looking for any injury or wounds or bleeding,he
found none.
"Hey Littlle man, are you okay??...Did anybody hurt you??.... Where did you go?" Yandel asked
gently while putting his hands around him, he stiffened a little at the contact before he looked up to
Yandel and let him hold him.
"I went to the security and asked him if there were any lego cart shop behind and he said there
was one on the next street, I went there to check if they were around but then I go lost and I was so
scared I thought you wouldn''t find me and nobody wanted to help me And it was getting dark and I…."
Ace exined as he broke down and started crying again, holding onto yandel tightly, he smelt like his
dad and that helped him calm down.
"pro..*sniffs*...promise you wouldn''t leave me alone?" Ace asked, looking up at Yandel.
Yandel hesitated for a minute, looking at the poor kid who looked so broken and lost, his eyes
were already a little swollen and beet red from crying, so he promised him...
"I promise Acey,I won''t leave you alone, Okay little man," Yandel swore, holding him tighter as he
consoles the little boy.
The air was too sad for him, so he decided to stare up a conversation that would distract him, so
he remembered when Araceli said he had been looking forward to watching the lego movie.

"it was goood, Batman is sooo cool, but he is also lonely, he needs to find a wife or husband.” Ace
answered as his eyes twinkled, totally forgetting that he was lost some minutes ago.
"Not like Xander though, he''s not a nice man,I don''t like him," he added with a little frown.
Yandel Ignored that part because he didn''t know who Xander was.
"So spiderman is your favorite superhero right?" Yandel asked, he asked the little boy who was
now grinning from ear to ear.
"Yesss" Ace said excitedly.
"He is so cool and he is handsome and his girlfriend is sooo pretty, just like you and my big sister,"
he said with his eyes lighting up after making the statement.
"But me and your big sister are not dating though," Yandel said, feeling a little disappointed now
that he thought of it.
"I know, it''s because she is getting married to thatme dude called Xander," Ace replied clearly
showing his dislike for the Xander dude.
Yandel frowned as he listened to Ace’s statement. So Araceli was getting married after all. He
thought he had a chance with her to create a wonderful friendship but guessed that ship had sailed
away while they were long rivals. He caused the petty rivalry to hinder him from knowing Araceli earlier,
maybe he would have had a chance.
“Well it''s gettingte, let''s head back home. I''m such Araceli is worried sick about you leaving like
that, and she is also with the police too” Yandel said to Ace.
As they headed back to the ck Audi car while Yandel opened the front door for Ace, he felt bad
for the way he made Araceli worry so much. he didn''t intend to do that.
They headed back to the cinema where Araceli was waiting outside looking drained.
Immediately Rachel saw Yandeling outside his car with a little boy. She rushed to the little
bundle of joy that had made her so worried.
"OMG!! Ace are you ok??...Are you hurt??....why were you crying????...OMG did someone hurt
you???" Rachel cried in full panic thinking of the worse things.
"Ara I''m *hups* fine, I just got *hups* lost looking for the lego cart shop they kept saying it
was at the corner but they were closed and i couldn''t find my way back" Ace exined again through
sniffs and hups.
"I will drive you guys home," Yandel offered.
"Alright, thanks Baldwin,” Araceli said with a small smile exhausted from crying and searching for
Ace, she didn''t even bother to put up a fight or sarcastic remark.
While cing Ace in the back seat and Araceli in the passenger sit, Ace murmured audibly.
"I like Yanny better than jerky Xander…."
