RITA’S POV


    I broke the silence while we had lunch, I cleared my throat and announced; “Breaking news guys! Zane and I are done. It’s officially over between us”


    The cutlery fell off Evelyn’s hand in shock: “Huh, what?”N?velDrama.Org owns all content.


    “It is what it is” Adam mumbled.


    “Oh My God Rita, this really hurt right?” Evelyn came to sit beside me, she ced her hand over my neck, trying to console me


    “Actually, I am fine” I told her. “I am totally fine, it was a happy break up, no heartbreak”


    “Why? How? Did you break up with the poor guy?” She questioned.


    “Hmmn, actually. I was gonna end the rtionship because I got fed up of him, Ipletely fell out of love with Zane”


    “Oops!” Evelyn opened her mouth in awe and covered it with her palm.


    “If you were in shoe, you would understand better. But then, before I broke up with him, Zane already shut down his Kikachat ount”


    “What?” Adam and Evelyn eximed.


    “Yeah, he did. His phone number has been blocked too, chat closed, so I haven’t heard from Zane for some days now. And that’s brought our rtionship to an end”


    “Oops! Sad, sad. What could be going on with Zane?” Evelyn wondered.


    “Of course, Zane also got tired of the rtionship too, he never said that but he gave you some signs right?” Adam interfered.


    “That’s right, he did” I muttered.


    “So he had to close his ount and he blocked you because the inte is the only means you can get to him. Forget about him” Adam encouraged.


    “Hmmn” I already forgot about Zane and moved on.


    “Hey Adam, that’s definitely not how to handle break up!” Evelyn snapped. “Zane mighte back to you soon” She gently tapped my hand.


    “Evelyn, I know you want me to be happy in love but I really need you to stop rooting for my rtionship with Zane. I fell out of love with him a long time ago and I kept pushing the rtionship so it could work out. I’m not going back to Zane!” I shunned.


    “Alright” She gave up.


    “Good” I said and continued eating my meal unbothered.


    “Rita, how about you tell us that you are not single either, you are with Finn” Adam suddenly uttered.


    I was shocked, so he knew.


    “What?” Evelyn blurted.


    “Rita, for how long do you n to hide it before informing us that you are dating Finn?” Adam questioned.


    I furrowed my brows, speechlessly.


    “Really Rita? Is that true? Are you dating Finn? Oh My God!!” Evelyn eximed.


    “Shush! Lower your voice” I hushed her indiscreetly.


    “Then, open up already!”


    “I…uhm, I was gonna tell you sooner orter” I kinda stammred, blushing secretly.


    “When exactly? No, you’ll never let us know, you never even told us  when you were dating Jared, even Zane, we found out ourselves that you had an online lover remember? You never for once,e to us and announce that you have got into a new rtionship. Are you shy Rita? does the word ‘Boyfriend’ embarasses you?” Evelyn queried.


    “No!” I blurted, although she was right, somehow.


    If only they knew that there were so many other stuff I’ve hidden from them, ‘like sex’ the word makes me freak out like crazy.


    I called them my best friends but I never treated them like best friends.


    I sighed.


    Adam and I haven’t been really cool with eachother after the other day I alleged him of being into me. He’s been kinda trying to prove to me that he does not love me one bit.


    “Since when have you and Finn been together? Besides, you cannot like start dating someone right away. There has to be like a romantic connection between the two of you” Evelyn gasped. “Since when did you start liking Finn?”  She probed further.


    I scratched my hair that wasn’t even itching.


    “I… uhm, I don’t really remember”


    “Say something” She hit the table.


    “Alright, alright. For a long time, I have not been sure of my feelings because I was with Zane. I confirmed that I was in love with Finn when we started having misunderstanding”


    “Oops! So Zane was like an obstacle?”


    “Maybe” Adam responded before I did.


    “Adam!” I called out his name and shot him a hard gaze. “How do you know about Finn and I? I never told anyone, I didn’t tell you either” I crossed my arms


    “Err.. I.. uhm, I…” He stuttered.


    “I…uhm, I… you what? Speak!” I snapped, making Evelyn wondered why I was strict.


    “Finn told me himself” Adam answered honestly.


    “You know.. Guys secret conversation” He added


    “I’m aware of how close you and Finn are. It’s really surprising you know…” I stared at him suspiciously.


    “Have you ever thought about the first time you met someone andpare it to where you guys are now?” Evelyn suddenly interfered, breaking the tension.


    “And you are like wow, just wow. Who knew this would ever happen?” I chuckled.


    “Ex- excuse me guys” Adam stumbled on his feet and dragged his legs behind him, making his way out of the restaurant.


    There was a caught!
