Chapter 20


    Belle''s POV


    I''m looking for something to wear from Niki''s wardrobe but most of his stuff in the walk in closet are


    different shades of suits, lots of white shirts, jeans and sweats. I need to go to my apartment to get


    some clothes.


    I slowly walk downstairs but Alexei is already standing at the bottom of the stairs. "Where are you


    going?"


    "Not in your bed." I retorted.


    "Okay, then go back to Niki''s room now."


    "I''m going to my apartment and you can''t stop me from leaving!"


    "Yah? Try me."


    I would call Niki but he specifically told me to do as Alexei says. These two are not giving me any


    choice. What could be the worst thing to happen to me? I know Alexei would never hurt me. So I


    continued walking down the stairs. When I was on thest step, he showed his right hand from his


    back. A gasp escaped my mouth when I saw the leash Alexei is holding in his hand.


    "You will not..."


    "Toote princess."


    Alexei manhandled me towards his room.


    "Alexei!!!! Put me down!!!" I yelled at him hysterically.


    "You know, you are a handful to watch over."


    "Niki will know of this I''m telling you!"


    "He already knows."


    "What?"


    "I''m under strict orders to make you stay in bed no matter what."


    Alexei throws me to his bed and ced the leash on my right hand while the other one is tied to the


    headboard of his bed. I could not believe he''s doing this to me!


    I was yanking the leash while Alexei is quickly on his phone talking to someone and I think I know who


    it is.


    "Is that Niki?" I grumpily asked Alexei.


    "Niki, I swear I will not going to allow you to touch me, not even my hair for one week starting


    tonight. You hear me Niki!? One whole week!" I yelled to make sure that he could hear me.


    When Alexei is done talking to his phone, he sat beside me in bed. "You''re in luck princess."


    "What?"


    "Well the Boss can''t make it home tonight, he''s stranded in Boston because of the weather."


    "Niki is in Boston?" He did not tell me that. And it really hurts as hell. Why didn''t he tell me? This


    whole not telling me the whole story about Niki is slowly eating me up.


    "What''s he doing there?"


    "Business." Of course.


    "Remove my leash, I promise I will not leave."


    I am exhausted. My legs are tired. And I am hurt because of Niki. Howe he did not tell me that


    he''s in Boston? I see that Alexei noticed my sudden change in mood. He removed the leash and I


    quickly covered my whole body under the nket.


    "It''s not easy to be in Niki''s life. Be patient with him. Give him more time."

    I was awakened by a familiar smell. Rice porridge. Alexei ced the tray with a bowl beside me.


    "Time to eat."


    I struggled to lift my body from the bed so Alexei helped me to sit up straight. God, why do I feel like I''m


    so tired?


    "What time is it Alexei?"


    "It''s time for you to buy a watch."


    "Ha, very funny. No, really what time is it?"


    "It''s time for you to buy an rm clock to hit the Boss'' head again."


    I giggled in response. Poor Niki, I hit him with an rm clock the first morning we were together.


    "It''s almost 6 o''clock." Responded Alexei while brushing a strand of my hair from my face and to the


    back of my ear.


    I took some ck beans and mushroom and ced them on top of the porridge. I scooped the porridge


    using the spoon and blew some air to it to make sure its not too hot.


    "Here, open your mouth Alexei." He blinked once and pulled his lips to the side, letting out a smile.


    We fed each other in alternate and in just a matter of minutes we were able to finish the bowl of rice


    porridge.

    "Alexei I''m bored, lets change the channel." I said while pping the covers with my palm. Alexei just


    smiled at me while I whine.


    "Here, I''ll go get a quick shower." He said while handing me the remote control.


    I ced the pillows on my back and satfortably. I scanned the channel to look for a movie. Yay!


    Horror. I really like watching horror movies. The fast beating of my heart makes me feel so alive,


    although I cover my eyes most of the time.


    The stupid woman still chose to walk down the dark hallway knowing for a fact that she''s alone and that


    she might be the next one to die. All of a sudden, the spirit that is haunting the ce appeared upside


    down right in front of the woman. A squeal instantly escaped my mouth.


    Alexei hurriedly came out of the bathroom with only a towel on. "What happened?"


    Dammit! He looks really good with only a towel on. His perfectly ripped torso is very prominent and his


    chiseled arms are glistening with water. I quickly gazed away from him and looked straight to the


    television.


    "The haunting spirit." I responded.


    He just shook his head and went back to the bathroom while sporting his usual charming smile. He


    went back out wearing only his boxers. He then puts on a white cotton shirt and went back to bed


    beside me. I noticed that he tapped his phone a couple of times before taking the remote control from


    me and turned the TV in full volume.


    "It''s better to watch a horror movie in full st." He said. He now has a wicked smirk on his face while


    I''m covering half of my face with the nket.


    To my surprise, he slid under the covers and inched close to me.


    "What are you doing?"


    "I''m cold."


    "Then, get your own nket Alexei."


    "My spare nkets are still with the dry cleaner. The housekeeper has note yet." Why am I not


    buying this?


    "Fine." I said in defeat. Alexei''s smile grew even wider.


    I looked at him sternly while squinting my eyes. "A-lex-ei, if you''re up to something please do know that


    I can absolutely annihte you."

    A knock interrupted our face off.


    "Boss." Said a voice faintly outside the door.


    Alexei stood up from the bed and unlocked the door. One of his men handed him popcorn and pizza


    while ncing and nodding at me inside.


    "We shall not be disturbed." Instructed Alexei.


    "Boss." The big man replied.


    "You got us popcorn and pizza? You''re the best Alexei!


    "I know."


    I just giggled at his arrogance.


    Midway to the movie, the woman is surprisingly still alive and she still manages to seduce a guy, in fact


    they are about to have sex in a barn. I quickly grabbed the remote from Alexei and changed the


    channel to cartoons.


    "What the hell?" Said Alexei sternly while crinkling his eyebrows.


    "I''m going to return to that channel when they are finished with whatever it is that they are nning of


    doing."


    "But that''s the best part. Give me the remote back."


    "No!"


    I ced the remote behind my back but Alexei was able to grab it from me. He returned to the movie.


    Oh my god. The guy and the woman is now doing the doggy.


    "Alexei!"


    He just chuckled and still continues to watch. The woman is now moaning so loud. The guy is spanking


    her and calling her dirty names. Oh my god! The volume is in full st. What would the people in the


    house think we are doing here if they hear this?


    I quickly wrestled Alexei to get the remote from him.


    "Give me the remote Alexei!!!"


    Oh my god! This man is going to give me a heart attack. Alexei is now hystericallyughing his heart


    out and rolling in bed.


    "Ha-ha. Very funny Alexei." I said sarcastically.


    He finally lets go of the remote. I decided to turn down the volume just in case the two decides to do it


    again somewhere like in a pig pen or a dog house.
