Chapter 45: 45. Unavoidable Situation

    I love him. I love him with all my heart. He is mine. I started to have this feeling from the very first day of


    my MBA. He was all hot and manly. I knew for sure that he is older than me. Also, I knew that he


    should be rich. Hees in the car and with his clothes, I can tell that.


    I liked him not because he is rich. But being rich is an added advantage. He won’t talk to any of our


    ssmates. He attends only theory sses. Like part time. I know I''m a beautiful girl. There were so


    many proposals for me from my ug to pg. But nothing interested me. But Rishi has something. He just


    pulled my heart towards him even without his knowledge.


    When some seniors tailed behind me, I asked for his help. I don’t know if he will help me. But I just tried


    and he did. Rishi should be elder to them too. He is all built. They won’t stand a chance against him. I


    held his hands when we went close to the seniors. I showed them that I belong to Rishi.


    From that day on, Rishi will smile at me whenever our eyes meet. He will talk with me like a known girl.


    He never spoke to me by himself. He will answer anything I ask. I gradually developed our rtionship


    to friendship.


    He is a charmer. Though he looked so tough and serious, his smile is the one I die for. I told him about


    my family and our financial status. When I shared my personal details with him, hismitment with


    me grew. He started talking to me on his own. He started to drop me at my hostel after sses.


    Sometimes he would catch me looking at him. When he does, he will smile at me.


    When we were together, we held our hands together. He will sit near me without hesitation. I developed


    my love for him, and he started to show interest in me. In our final semester, I proposed to him.

    "Rishi, I want to tell you something."


    "What''s it Smirthi? You know, you can tell me anything."


    "Rishi, I Love You. I have loved you from the first day I saw you. That is why I sought your  help when


    needed. I want to marry you Rishi. I want to live with you. I want my life with you."


    He was shocked!


    "Smirthi, I never expected this. But give me some time. I will let you know." he said.


    With that he dropped me in my hostel. I called him at night. I couldn''t sleep without knowing his answer.


    I can''t live without him. I love everything about him. His manliness, his beard, his scent, his voice, his


    driving style. God he should be my man. I just want to be in his arms. I just want to sleep on his chest. I


    should always see him when I sleep and wake up!


    "Rishi, I can''t sleep." I told him on the phone.


    "Smirthi, I don’t find anything wrong in marrying you but I don’t think I am in love with you right now. We


    can marry but after a year. I have some work to be done before that!" he said.


    "Omg, Thank you, Rishi. I love you!" I kissed him on the phone and slept peacefully. He said that he


    doesn’t love me now. I know he has no feelings for me now. But I can make him fall in love with me. We


    have 1 year for marriage.


    He is a busy man. He strictly told me not to disturb him during weekdays. But he promised to spend his


    weekends with me. It was very hard for me to stay away from him all week. Since college was over, I


    could only see him on weekends.


    He told me not to even call him on weekdays. I mean, his work is important to me too. It is because of


    his hard work, he is this rich. I should not disturb him.


    During weekends, he would take me to his office. It was a constructionpany. Almost 100 people


    work there. Iter learnt that Karthik is a partner in thispany. He would take me to his boutique. It


    is in RS puram. Heart of Coimbatore. But everything he sells there are exotic pieces. He sells to


    fashion show people and some high-end users. Most of the days his shop would be empty. But if he


    made a sale, that would be really profitable. All of the clothes there, I haven''t seen anything like them


    anywhere. They are simply out of the world. If I marry him, I can try on everything here. I can take


    anything I want.


    I sessfully managed to persuade him to take me to his home. But he insisted on meeting his dad


    and brother in a restaurant first. I wanted to impress them. I took him shopping and got a beautiful


    saree and all the matching ornaments. I went to the beauty parlour to get myself ready.


    I met them. I disyed my very polite and disciplined self to them. I think I won their hearts.


    Rishi took me to his home. Wow! That was a pce. I''m so lucky to have seen him. I have to talk to my


    parents. The sooner the better. I was so in love with him. I didn’t feel bad that he didn’t take me to


    movies or anywhere usual lovers will go. After college, I moved to my friend''s house. One day when he


    came to drop me, I kissed him. He kissed me back. God , he was so good. I loved it. I decided to unt


    him with my asserts.


    That was my first kiss. Though I didn’t know what to do, I initiated. I was so scared that he would push


    me away. When he kissed me back, I knew hismitment to me. No one can separate us.


    We kissed more often, but every time it was me who initiates. He is an introvert. I''m happy until he


    responds to my kisses. I have deliberately shown my cleavage many a times to tempt him but he never


    noticed me or had a bad eye for me. Though it hurt me, I was happy that he has promised his


    commitment to me. I know he stands by his words.


    One day when my mom talked about my marriage and alliances, I told my dad about Rishi. He was all


    angry and shouting at me. He can’tpromise with Rishi''s wealth. I called up Rishi.


    "Honey! You should answer me a question without asking anything." I told him as soon as he picked up


    the phone.


    "Alright! What''s it?" he asked me.


    "What is your caste?"


    I prayed to all god that I know that he should be my caste. And he was. Even gods are with me. I told


    dad that he is our caste. My dad finally agreed. But asked me to go and meet my maternal uncle who


    lives in Coimbatore.


    I went to meet him. He asked me about Rishi. I told him everything I knew. When he heard that he is


    one of the partners of Firm Fort construction, he told me that Karthik was the son of the central


    minister. Also, he asked me to do a favor for him. Only then he will talk to my dad in a positive way for


    my marriage to happen with Rishi. So, I agreed to help him.


    He wanted to know the quotation amount that Karthik finalizes for the uing project. He also owns


    a constructionpany. But that is not a big one like Firm Fort. Karthik and Rishi do quotations


    together on Saturdays. I know that. I had no interest in that so far. If I can eavesdrop, then I will know


    the amount. I can help uncle and get married to Rishi. It''s easy.


    So, I helped him with one project. He got the project by quoting lower than Firm Fort. He, as promised,


    talked to my dad and made him say ok for the wedding.


    Our marriage date was fixed 6 months from now. I spent almost all my time with him shopping for all


    my dream things. Everything was good and fine until my mama called me again. He asked for the


    same help. When I said no, he said he would give me tenkhs for it.


    Wow, big money! Nothing will happen if they lose another project. I mean, with the help of the central


    minister they can do wonders. With just one government project, they willpensate for this.


    I agreed and helped him again. He, as promised, credited tenkhs to my ount. I was so happy.


    This is the first time my ount has so much money in it. I can use it for my wedding. I can even help


    my dad and mom live in a better ce. And 3months after this, he called me again. Again, for the same


    help. I was starting to feel guilty for doing it to Rishi. But uncle said he will give me 25khs this time.


    I told him that this is thest time I''m doing this. He agreed. I helped him again and he credited 25


    lakhs to me. I strictly told him not to disturb me anymore. He said he won’t because he got his


    standards up. So, he won’t be needing any help to hispany anymore.


    It''s my wedding tomorrow. Our reception was all grand. It was like a dreame true. When I cleansed


    all my makeup and was ready to sleep, I got a phone call. It was an unknown number. Who might call


    at this hour? I picked it up!


    It was a male voice. He said, because of me, Firm Fort construction was going to be  bankrupt. He said


    he has proof that I leaked the quotation amount. I felt all scared and guilty. He even gave me Rishi''s


    lawyer number to check it myself. I took my rtive''s phone and dialed the number he gave. I asked


    him what I wanted to know. Everything that the stranger said was true. It''s because of me Rishi is


    facing losses. I never expected this. I betrayed my love. I don’t deserve to live with him.


    I decided to go away. If Rishi gets to know that I''m behind everything, he will hate me for sure. I can''t


    live to see hatred for me in his eyes. So, I ran away. I took my parents with me. I can''t humiliate them


    for my deeds.
