Chapter 37 Cant Lose Her

    Chapter 37 Can''t Lose Her

She still didn''t have many sses to attend. Probably because she didn''t live in the dorm anymore,

Paige didn''t continue to give her a hard time. However, she always said something she didn''t

    understand at all.

She asked Daisy about it, but Daisy also said she couldn''t understand it. So Sadie stopped asking.

However, when she thought of Otto, her heart still hurt. She felt as if her heart was empty and could not

    be filled.

Julian was away on business, and she felt as if time had passed much faster. In a sh, it was

Saturday. Sadie spent the night reading and memorizing English, and studied until midnight before

falling asleep. When she woke up it was already ten o''clock in the morning.

She changed her clothes and went down, and saw Julian sitting in the dining room. At once, a chill ran

    down her spine.

He had been gone for two days. She almost thought he wasn''ting back.

"Come here." It was as if Julian had eyes behind his back. He said in a calm tone. "You''ve had a cold

for a week. Haven''t you gotten over it yet?"

Sadie took a deep breath and stepped away hesitantly. "I''m much better. It''s just that my throat isn''t

    quite right yet."

She took her ce beside him. Looking at his nice, clean hands, she was afraid he would suddenly

    reach out his hand.

"Go wash your hands and eat your breakfast. I''ll take you to Cohenter," Julian said with a wry smile

    as he sat unmoving.

Sadie nodded, then turned her head away with a disgusted look.

Julian turned slightly sideways. His eyes chased her back, while his eyes grew a little darker.

He made a trip back to City A. The girl that the Chambers family sent over really did look exactly like

her, including their little gestures. If he didn''t distinguish carefully, he wouldn''t be able to tell which one

of them was the real one.

Fortunately, he found her first. Otherwise, he might go back this time and really fall into the trap and not

    be able to get out.

A few momentster, Sadie returned from washing her hands. She pulled out the chair next to him and

    sat down nicely.

He disappeared for the past two days to prepare for Cohen to hypnotize her, right? Why else would he

have taken her to Cohen as soon as he returned?

It was good since he did that. She inquired about Dean Esme''s treatment, and there was nothing

wrong with it. There was just one thing that struck her as odd.

For no apparent reason, the officials had shut down the orphanage, and all the children had been

    picked up, none left.

She went back, but unfortunately, there was only one new gatekeeper at the home who didn''t know

anything. She contacted her colleagues at Milra Wedding Dress Store, but they also said they didn''t

    know.

Finally, she contacted the old gatekeeper and learned that the orphanage had been shut down for

several days. She searched the Inte but found no news at all.

It was as if a paranormal event had urred. The whole orphanage was empty overnight, and no one

    knew why.

"Eat more. I heard Amina say you haven''t had much appetite for the past two days." Julian lifted the

bowl in front of him. His gaze was dark and inscrutable as he surveyed her. "You''ve lost weight."

Sadie spat out the porridge in her mouth. The result of forcibly swallowing was choking, and she

coughed for a long time before stopping.

Could he not be so serious when he was talking nonsense? They had only not seen each other for two

days, how could he possibly see that she had lost weight?

Julian pushed the ss of water over. He looked at her suspiciously. "Why are you reacting so much?"

"Nothing. You''re overthinking it." Sadie took the ss of water and tilted her head back to take a sip.

She felt better and then continued eating her breakfast.

Julian lifted his eyes and fell silent.

After she finished eating, she went upstairs to get her bag and came down. Julian was answering the

phone. His dark eyebrows were deeply knitted and looked unhappy.

Sadie bit her lip and opened the door to go out first.

Probably she walked too fast and when she went down the steps, she stumbled and almost fell down.

She could barely stand still, and suddenly a very strange image came to her mind. She saw Libby pass

out, and saw police cars driving into the orphanage, along with countless police officers.

"You''re Sadie, aren''t you? Pleasee back with us to the police station to make a statement." The

female police officer''s voice was gentle and sweet, but it made her feel cold.

And then the image suddenly disappeared. It was as if everything that had juste to her mind was

    just an illusion.

Sadie turned around and looked nkly at Julian, who was walking unhurriedly towards her. She spoke

mechanically, "Is there something going on at the orphanage that I don''t know about?"

"What makes you think that?" Julian noticed that she looked pale. The frown between his brows

    deepened.

The brain doctor said that her memory would be faulty. That may be true.

"It just urred to me." Sadie shook her head. She decided to call the police station herself and ask.

Julian wasn''t too sure about her state. So he changed his mind on the fly and told her to go to the

hospital for a checkup first, and then see Cohen afterward.

Sadie nced at him and didn''t object.

The branch was not far from the neighborhood, and within a few minutes, they were under the

outpatient clinic. She unbuckled her seatbelt and went down, ncing at Julian, who looked sullen.

Just by looking at his face, if she didn''t know that she was healthy and well, she really had the illusion

that she was dying of a terminal illness.

After going upstairs to register, she was immediately taken by the nurse for a checkup.

Julian waited for Cohen toe over and briefly described her condition. His displeasure spread

unconcealed. "Immediately after her checkup, put her under hypnosis. Don''t think too much about it."

"Calm down. In her current condition, hypnosis shows to be very dangerous." Cohen had a headache.

"Do you know? Once the hypnosis effect is not satisfactory, her memory will be in a permanent state of

confusion. She will be very prone to depression."

"Her memory is already confused now." Julian''s voice was cold. "Cohen, I can''t lose her again."

Cohen opened his mouth and swallowed the words that came to him.

He didn''t need to be reminded by outsiders that he knew better than anyone how much Sadie meant to

    Julian.

And Julian was equally clear. Once Sadie suffered from depression, the consequences would be very

    serious.

Strong as Julian, it took him three years to get over the pain of losing her. As his friend, he really

couldn’t bear to see Julian of being wretched and disheveled again.

After a long silence, he lifted his hand and patted his shoulder. "I''ll prepare ordingly first. I''ll be able

to hypnotize her as soon as she''s done with the checkup."

Sadie''s case was special. The hypnosis for her had to be divided into three stages. He had to cleanse

    her memory little by little.

"Okay." Julian exhaled, picked up his phone, and called Khalid.

Originally, he wanted to transfer Sadie back to City A. But considering that the impostor at the old

mansion hadn''t shown her cards yet, it might be dangerous for him to take her back, so they had to

    stay here.

He hid her so carefully that if Cayden still knew about it, he would have sent her abroad.

Speaking of which, not only did his grandfather not like her, but his grandmother did not like her either.

They all said she was too petty and unworthy of their family.

That impostor didn''t have a good time at the old mansion. It just so happened that she also helped him

keep out a lot of unnecessary trouble.

After ending the call, he went back to the ward. Sadie was also taken out of the examination room. She

had a sad look on her face.

Julian went up to her and took her hand, asking her gently if she still felt ufortable.

Sadie blinked. When she saw Cohen standing a short distance away, a light slipped through her eyes

and she shook her head calmly.

That night, as she stood in the hallway, she heard Julian say to Cohen, "She was raped. Do you think

it''s necessary for her to keep such a memory?"

After returning to her room, she thought about it all night, but could not remember when she had been

raped. So she was more and more sure that she knew something about the orphanage being shut

down. It was just that her memory was broken.

She would continue to y along with him until she found out her origins and, by the way, figured out

exactly what memories she had lost again.

"You rest for a while. I''ll go get the test results." Julian leaned down and kissed her forehead, handing

her over to Cohen before turning and striding away.

"Sadie, we haven''t seen each other for two days, and I feel like you''ve lost a ton of weight again."

    Cohen joked with a smile.

Sadie raised the corners of her lips, but there was no smile under her eyes, "Mr. Palmer, why do I feel

    that you look so guilty?"
