Chapter 3 She Really Didnt Remember

Chapter 3 She Really Didn''t Remember

"They grew up together and are good friends," Sadie replied coldly, turning her back on Libby.

    Otto wouldn''t lie to her. If he really loved the daughter of the Brooks family, he wouldn''t be with her;

after all, she could only give him nothing, and even had an ugly face.

"You really love him." Libby let out a snort of contempt and pushed back the sheet to get out of the bed.

When Sadie heard the movement behind her, she turned to face Libby, looking at her in confusion. "Are

you not feeling well? Or are you hungry?"

She was wearing an extremely sexy ck silk nightgown with no underwear. Even Sadie couldn''t help

swallowing her saliva at the sight of her being so sexy and voluptuous. Men should be going crazy if

    they saw her.

"The room''s too stuffy. I''m going downstairs to get some fresh air. You go to bed early and don''t wait for

me." Libby waved her phone, opened the door and walked straight out.

Sadie blinked, unconsciously pursed her lips and promptly swallowed back the words that flooded on

the tips of her lips. Was it necessary to wear such a sexy dress if she was just going downstairs to get

    some fresh air?

Besides, did Libby pay too much attention to Otto? She had mentioned him several times throughout

the night? Did Libby really think that she couldn’t feel anything?

As the footsteps outside the door faded away, Sadie picked up her phone to check the time and

shrugged her shoulders, then she turned off the light and went to sleep. Although Dean Esme''s medical

expenses had been settled, she was still concerned that the man wouldn''t give her such arge sum of

    money for no reason.

Letting out a sigh, she closed her eyes and gradually drifted off to sleep.

On the ground floor of the orphanage''s staff quarters.

Libby walked down the quiet path to the back door furtively, where she then took out the key, opened

    the door and went out.

The night was dark, and there was a Bentley parked on the street. Under the warm yellow light, its

distinguished and elegant body was reflecting the moonlight luxuriously.

A silhouette was vaguely reflected on the car window, with some red light kept flickering.

Libby stood in the darkness. After making sure no one was around, she ran across the street, opened

the car door and got into the back seat.

"I thought you weren''ting out." The manughed and lifted her onto hisp, sniffing her body

    fragrance. "Is Sadie asleep?"

"Do you care about her that much?" Libby pouted with discontent. "Don''t think about her while you hug

    me."

"What are you thinking about? You''re the only one in my heart." Otto narrowed his eyes, smiled and

    then kissed her lips...

The air was stifling in the room, and since there was no air conditioner in the room, Sadie woke up so

hot before dawn after tossing and turning all night.

Today was Sunday and she had nothing to do during the day. She could have slept in, but she didn''t

expect it to be so hot.

After taking a shower, she returned to the room and saw that Libby was still sleeping, so she gently

walked out of the room and went downstairs to help in the cafeteria.

The orphanage was not performing well and some employees who worked in the cafeteria were

nning to resign due to the illness of Dean Esme.

Sadie didn''t know how to persuade them, so she did what she could to help.

She helped take care of breakfast for the children in the orphanage. Later, the moment she turned to

go back to the staff quarters, she identally saw Raya Duncaning through the front door with a

few people, and she looked uneasy.

The morning sun had just risen and the heat could already be felt, but the man walking behind Raya

seemed to be covered in ayer of frost, and she could feel his coldness even from a great distance.

He was very tall, appearing to be over 185cm tall. He was wearing a vintage crewneck white shirt that

was meticulously buttoned. Underneath, he wore a pair of ck pants, and the ink-like color made his

legs look extra straight and slender.

She blinked subconsciously as her eyes shifted upward andnded on his finely chiseled features. Her

mind was in a buzz and her back broke into sweats at once.

Why did hee here? Was he trying to get her to pay back the money? While she was still

wondering, she heard Raya called her over feebly, "Sadie,e here."

"Raya," Sadie responded, bowing her head and taking off her apron. She pursed her lips and walked

as calmly as she could Raya. "What''s wrong?"

"This was Mr. arthy from DHG Group. You''re Dean Esme''s daughter, so I''d better let you know

about the acquisition of the orphanage." Raya''s voice was hoarse, and it was obvious that she had

    suffered a heavy blow.

Sadie caught the key point of her words and was suddenly startled. She looked toward Mr. arthy

subconsciously, "Acquisition? What do you mean?"

So the purpose of the money he gave her was actually to acquire the orphanage! There really was no

such thing as a free lunch. This man''s generosity in giving her money was premeditated.

Raya briefly exined the situation to Sadie, and then led the group to the reception room with a

depressed look on her face. The situation of the orphanage was worse than what Sadie had expected.

Currently, it was not even possible to make ends meet.

Since Dean Esme was sick and they couldn''t raise the money for her medical costs, they decided to

sell the orphanage as ast resort. Sadie''s mind was in a mess, and she followed behind Raya with

anger and hatred. If she had known that this man had given her a Greek gift, she would prefer to turn to

    Otto for help.

The reception room was really dpidated. Sadie served them tea with a nk expression and stood

    quietly by.

He gave her fifty million Yuan the day before yesterday and today he was here in person to negotiate

an acquisition - what a coincidence! Why else would he show up downstairs at the inpatient department

in the middle of night and his sidekick even brought a nk check with him?

It was so disgusting that realtors these days resorted to all means in order to achieve their goals, and

she even thought she had met a good person.

"Dean Esme has just undergone surgery and is still in aa. Mr. arthy, can we talk about the

acquisition in a few days?" Raya tried to touch Julian withpassion, and her eyes turned red when

she spoke. "The children in the orphanage are not easy to move in such a short period of time. Can sir

be so kind as to make an exception for us?"

Julian raised his eyes as if he hadn''t heard her words. Instead, his eyes were fixed on Sadie with an

    ambiguous expression.

She really didn''t remember him. The way she looked at him was no different from strangers, even with

some hatred in her eyes. It was exactly the same expression she had during childhood when he hid her

toys and she couldn''t find them.

There was a strange silence in the reception room, and the atmosphere became depressing noticeably.

"Mr. arthy?" Raya was a bit embarrassed as she found that Julian wasn''t listening to a word she

said, even though she had said so much.

"I feel like talking to her." Julian said distantly, pointing his finger at Sadie.

"Ah…" Raya forgot herself and gave an exmation of surprise, but once she saw Julian pull a long

face, she felt a chill down her spine for no apparent reason.

She knew little about the business world, but still knew how popr DHG Group was.

Mr. arthy, who stood in front of her, looked less than 30 years old, but he radiated an innate nobility

    and projected a high-wattage aura.

"Raya, please go out first." Sadie also noticed something was wrong with Julian''s expression, and

immediately mediated the dispute. "It''ll be fine. I won''t let the orphanage be sold no matter what."

Raya forced herself to smile and then left the room with some reluctance.

As soon as she left, the few people who hade with Julian left the room as quietly as robots, as if

they had been instructed, and they even had the good sense to close the door.

A loud bang was heard as the old wooden door was closed. Sadie''s back stiffened in shock, but she

calmed down for just a moment and looked naturally at the man sitting on the couch.

The contrast between his fine clothes and the tattered, paint-peeling sofa was apparent, but not in the

    least ipatible.

It seemed that he was unaffected by his surroundings no matter where he was.

"What does Mr. arthy want to talk about?" Sadie pretended to be calm, but her hands

unconsciously gripped the hem of her shirt.

Her cotton id shirt was soon wrinkled from her grip.

"Julian arthy." Julian caught the sight of her unconscious movement and the corners of his lips

curved into an invisible smile. Although his little wife had grown up, her habit of bluffing still remained

    unchanged.
