Chapter 201 Migration ( 51 )

At the tailors'' house, all the women were watching the woman testing the robe Ri had just embroidered, wearing confused expressions.

"Why is she reacting like that?"

"She looks so frozen after wearing the robe. Is everything alright?"

Some of them even questioned Ri, but she only asked them to watch what was about to happen next.

Ri stretched out her hand toward a bowl of water ced in a corner of the room and used mana to move the water from the bowl toward the woman wearing the robe.

    The water floated above her.

Ri let go, and the water sshed onto her body.

The woman wondered why Ri had suddenly done such a thing, but their confusion was quickly answered.

A small invisibleyer seemed to form from the robe, causing the water to pour onto the ground without even touching the woman wearing it.

    They were all so shocked.

    "This... This is very good!"

    "Wow, so incredible!"

They began reacting vocally. Enjoy more content from empire

"Lady Ri, this is very good," they praised her.

Ri held up her hands and told them to hold on a second.

The women fell silent and turned their gaze back to the woman wearing the robe.

"You, get a match and try to burn her robe," she ordered.

    "What??"

All of them, including the one wearing the robe, reacted at once.

"Do you doubt me after seeing that?"

The woman paused for a second before nodding slowly. One of them brought out a traditional locally made match, lit it, and ced it under the dress.

However, the moment the matchstick made contact with the robe, it extinguished as though something had blown on it forcefully.

"Wait, the matchstick has little effect. The heat is not up to the level I want," Ri said.

The women turned to look at her once again, confused.

Ri did not reply and removed them.

Luckily, not far away, a family who had just weeded were burning the weeds, and the mes were strong.

The woman wearing the robe felt really scared when she saw Ri smile upon seeing the fire. In her mind, she hoped Ri would not ask her to test the effect on such a dangerous fire.

    Sadly, her prayers weren''t answered.

    Ri made her move closer.

Then she pushed her, causing her to fall into the mes.

    "Ahhhh!"

She cried out in fear of the pain that would soon torment her, or so she thought.

Her eyes were shut, bracing for immense pain.@@novelbin@@

Nevertheless, a few seconds passed, and she felt nothing.

Actually, she did feel something—it wasn''t heat!

She felt really warm, veryfortably warm, to be honest.

"How do you feel?" Ri asked as she helped her up.

The family who had made the fire looked at them with surprise; they were so shocked that they didn''t know how to react.

They had just seen someone sent into hazardous mes ande out untouched.

The women beside Ri stared at their colleagues, awaiting her response.

"I felt really good, Lady Ri. I felt no sort of pain," she responded.

She even added that she felt very good wearing it.

Everyone who heard her response was beyond shocked, while Ri only smiled.

"This is ourtest invention. With this, I will be able to modify the clothes we make each day and add effects that protect our people from the few things you just witnessed. There are other minor effects that can''t be tested physically; I''ll discuss them with you allter," she said.

The women nodded their heads attentively, with respect and adoration. They had never expected to be greeted with such wonder that afternoon.

Some of them became curious and inquired how they could do the same.

    "You can''t."

Ri replied simply, shattering their hopes.

"Not now, actually," she added, boosting their hope once more.

"But keep working and improving, and one day you might awaken the special skill to do what I do," she concluded.

The women became excited and eager to do more.

After they were done outside, Ri took them back inside, and they continued working as usual.

Ri was working on a new dress to replicate the enchanted embroidery from the earlier one.

After she was done, she tested it once again on another person. It was perfect, just like the first.

With this sess, she began applying the embroidery to the avable clothes.

Before evening, she had already applied the embroidery to more than twenty robes, which was incredible considering she had done that in less than four hours.

Furthermore, given how sophisticated andplicated the embroidery was, her speed was out of this world. It would take a normal tailor at least five hours, and a novice more than twenty-four hours.

After thest one, she closed for the day and strolled home.

While strolling home, she heard about what had transpired at Bruce''s ce with Ren and Liara, so she went to check on them before returning home to prepare something to eat.

She then rxed for a bit and was about to start working on Rowan''s robe when Laverena contacted her.

"You''ve finally achieved your goal," Laverena said, sounding really proud and happy for Ri.

"Thank you, Laverena. It''s all thanks to you," Ri replied with a proud smile.

"I knew the skill would be perfect on someone like you. You have such a creative mind. Too bad you were born in a poor, underdeveloped vige," Laverena''s voice held a hint of disappointment.

"Rowan is going to make the vige better very soon; he just needs some more time," she defended.

"I believe that Rowan is very special and blessed—more blessed than any other being in this world. I do envy him sometimes," Laverena said.

Her rtionship with Ri had already grown past goddess and disciple and had almost reached the state of best friends, so she didn''t mind sharing her true feelings.

"Envious of Rowan? What sort of blessing does he possess to make a goddess like you envious of a mere mortal?" Ri replied.

She did not doubt that Rowan was truly blessed.

But for a goddess to be envious—it was simply unbelievable.

"Rowan is not a mere mortal, Ri."
