Chapter 1942

    Chapter 1942

Liam must be busy. Some time passed before he replied, "Yeah. Have you gotten back to the dorm with your friends?"

Caprice replied, "We just got back from the restaurant a while ago. I''m already resting in bed."

To prove that she was telling the truth, she took a ttering picture of herself and sent it to Liam.

Liam replied, "Good, make sure you get enough rest.”

Caprice knew that he had never been a talkative man and was not keen on keeping the conversation going, but it was barely ten

o''clock, and it was far too early to sleep.

With this in mind, she texted him, "Liam, send me your picture too."

She still did not have a picture of him on her phone.

However, after the text was sent, there was no response.

Even after some time had passed, it was still radio silence on the other end. She frowned and was just about to fall into a sullen

state when a picture popped up on the screen.

It was Liam. He had taken a picture of his reflection in the mirror. His appearance could not be made out clearly, but his tall and

striking figure was immediately recognizable. Underneath the dim lights, he looked especially dashing.

Caprice immediately saved the picture to her phone.

She replied with a cute sticker of a cartoonish figure asking for a kiss.

    Ding!

Liam replied, "You''ll get a kiss next time we meet."

She was not expecting him to interpret the sticker with its literal meaning though she had to admit that she was not opposed to

    him kissing her at all.

Her eyes shed, and a burst of courage came to her out of nowhere as she promptly replied, "Can | touch your abs again the

    next time we meet?”

Liam replied, ‘We''ll see when we meet again."

She grinned when she read the reply. "Okay."

    "Okay..."

She fell asleep with her arms wrapped around her phone, Liam''s picture on its disy.

Meanwhile, Liam was still at his office desk at Carter Tech City. He held his phone closely in hand and stared at Caprice’s selfie

that she sent him. Her adorable expression nearly took up the whole screen.

He gently brushed the tips of his fingers against her face on the screen, then he proceeded to set the picture as the wallpaper.

The next day, Caprice ate breakfast with Piper, Freya, and Lana. After breakfast, she stepped into the car with her friends

    sending her off.

There was still a lot of work waiting to be done on the joint project with Carter Tech City. She had no time to waste.

While her car was coasting down the highway toward nchester, Heather''s car had just stopped outside the building where

Moses’pany was operating from. She went through the reception and gave the receptionist her information. Then, she was

    brought to Moses'' office.

Moses greeted her politely, "Miss Manson, can | help you with anything?"

Heather sat on the couch, posturing herself elegantly as always with her slender legs dangling off the couch. She regarded

Moses with her chin cocked slightly upward.

She began, ‘There''s a certain subject | wanted to talk to you about."

    "What is it?”

"Caprice," she said as she removed her sunsses, revealing her sharp gaze underneath.

Moses immediately seemed affected. "What about her?"

"You have a thing for her, don''t you?" Heather said with a smile. "Maybe | can help you with that.”

Moses fell silent for a moment. After a pause, he spoke with a faint smile hanging on his lips, "| do like her, but she''s already with

someone that she likes. If | may be so direct, Miss Manson, are you trying to tear them apart so that | can swoop in and im her

for myself? Are you going to use me to tear them apart?"
