    Chapter 1806

    Chapter 1806

To Sherry’s surprise, Queenie and Madam Stockton came to the airport to pick them up.

After leaving the airport, the group of Sherry, John, and Caprice headed back to the Stockton vi.

The surroundings of the vi were the same as they had remembered it. However, they noticed that there were new flowers in

the garden and some new decorative details on the exterior.

Some of the flowers were in full bloom while others were still mere seedlings. As a result, it added a different ssh of youthful

vor to the ancient vi that seemed to be a relic of a long gone past.

Upon stepping through the courtyard, Caprice leaped out of Madam Stockton’s arms and strolled into the garden. She jabbed at

a colorful bell hanging on one of the branches.

Queenie approached her. “Caprice, | made these myself and hung them around the garden. Aren’t they beautiful?”

Caprice nodded, mesmerized by the trinket. She quickly asked, “Aunty, can | take it and y with it?” “Sure-” She had barely

finished her sentence when Caprice plucked the bell off.

She did not forget her manners. “Thank you, Aunt Queenie.”

    Queenie chuckled softly. “You''re wee.”

Sherry jerked her lips to one side and began scanning the house.

Queenie mentioned that she was the one who decorated the garden. Sherry noticed that the walls were painted with bright

murals, then she saw strips of tiny bulbs lining the corridor. Was Queenie behind all of this?

It was then that Madam Stockton asked her, “Sherry, what do you think of the new look?”

Sherry answered quite frankly, “I think it''s quite interesting.”

Madam Stockton smiled and stated, “It was Queenie who touched up the ce. | don’t know where she learned all this, but she

insisted that this was how it should be done. If you don’t like how it looks, | will send an interior designer over tomorrow and you

can tell them what changes you''d like to make.”

Sherry refused kindly, “I think it looks nice as it is. There’s no need to make changes.”

“That’s right. It took me a lot of time and effort!” Queenie heard Madam Stockton. She quickly marched up to Sherry and shot a

yful, cross look at her mother, then she turned to Sherry. “But if any of these is not up to your taste, | wouldn’t mind if you get

    someone to make changes.”

Queenie decided to revamp the look of the entire house to remove all traces of Julie ever being here. Everything that had once

been used, or even just touched by Julie, had been thrown out and swapped with new ones.

Sherry understood that she was now one of the Stocktons and that this was their way of repairing past mistakes. She smiled and

said sincerely, “I think it''s wonderful. There’s no need to change anything.”

Queenie was delighted to hear this and smiled with pride.

Madam Stockton was pleased as well, “Alright.”

After sending them back home, Madam Stockton and Queenie excused themselves and left.

This was where Sherry lived with John and Caprice nearly a year ago.

Queenie had given the garden and the exterior walls a new look. The interior was more or less the same.

but the furniture had been reced with new ones.Content held by N?velDrama.Org.

Special attention was taken to cleaning every nook and cranny of the house. The moment she stepped inside, the warm smell of

home came up to greet her.

She looked around and let out a sigh of relief. She felt a hand ced on the top of her head, ruffling her hair

John spoke in a voice that sounded heavy with bass, “Sit down and get some rest.”

Sherry was feeling rather tired from the long trip here. She turned and nced in the direction of the garden.

Caprice was ying in the garden, inspecting the murals on the wall while Aunt Wanda was keeping an eye on her.

Sherry smiled softly and went to lie down on a nearby couch. She reached for her phone to send a text to Sylvia. She had been

very busy with everything going on and had not managed to find time to contact Sylvia.

She figured she should tell Sylvia that she was back in nchester.

John sat down next to her and was on his phone as well.
