    The spacious meeting room went quiet.


    “Who is Aiden Sager?” the leading officer asked.


    Other than Sherry, everyone else in the meeting room was shocked.


    Aiden was still caught in his excitement from agitating Carl and had not recovered from it, hence he was stunned when the


    officers came in.


    Ron was the first to react to the situation. He asked, “Officer, why are you looking for Aiden. Sager?”


    The officer ignored him. He demanded once more, “Who is Aiden Sager?”


    “It''s him! That''s Aiden Sager!” Sherry pointed at Aiden who was sitting beside Ron.


    The officers turned in that direction and spotted him right away.


    The leading officer nodded at Sherry before he headed over to Aiden’s spot. One of the officers dragged Aiden up from the seat


    and the other one handcuffed him on the spot.


    The spacious meeting room remained silent, but everyone’s eyes widened out of shock.

    Why would police officers barge into the meeting room to arrest Aiden?


    Only Carl sneaked a nce at Sherry.


    Ron and Caden bolted up.


    Ron asked, “Officers, why are you arresting him?”

    The leading officer nced at Sherry before he said to all the participants in the meeting room, Mr. Aiden Sager is suspected of


    attempted hired murder. We already have key evidence to prove his crime, so we are bringing him in.“


    Aiden was stunned, and so were Ron and Caden.


    The father and sons trio then tacitly looked at Sherry.


    Sherry curled her lips at Aiden, who still could not believe he was being arrested. She said, “Aiden,


    | didn’t expect you to be the one who hired those thugs to beat me up.”


    Aiden’s expression turned grim. He wanted to shout at Sherry, but he was being held by several officers from the back. With


    gritted teeth, he red at Sherry unwillingly.


    Sherry got up from her seat. “Thank you, officers.”


    “It''s our duty. We will update you about the progress,” the leading officer said politely


    “Thank you.”


    The officers then brought Aiden out of the meeting room.


    Caden, who was Aiden’s best follower cum brother, followed him out nervously.


    The meeting room once again plunged into silence and fear. Everyone else was still recovering from what just happened.


    Only Ron stared at Sherry grimly, wishing that he could dismember Sherry into a million pieces.


    “Mr. Wright, why are you looking at me like that? | didn’t instigate your son to hire men and beat me up.” Sherry said with a smile.

    Ron scoffed. “Sherry, you are the one behind this, aren’t you?”

    Sherry smiled. “Mr. Wright, you think too highly of me. I’m not that capable.”


    She sighed and mimicked Aiden’s tone when he insulted Carl, saying helplessly. “But if you insist that it was me, then so be it.”
