Chapter 1459
She was vulgar and unfashionable, just like her mother.
She took special care to not let her disgust show on her face and wore a gentle, polite smile.
She greeted them in a friendly voice, “Mom, Queenie, Little Caprice, I’m home.”
Caprice was too focused on her toy excavator and ignored her.
Queenie greeted her rather dully, “Hey, you’re home.”
Then she immediately turned her attention back to Caprice.
Madam Stockton looked behind Julie and asked, “It’s just you, where’s John?”
Julie walked up to her and informed her, “He said that he has some other things to deal with, he probably won’t be home so
soon.”
Madam Stockton nodded and uttered a short “oh*, then she had nothing further to add.
She thought that it would be ideal that John took his
time. That way, she would have more time to y with Caprice.
She went back to ying with Caprice.
“There’s one more thing.” Julie nced at Caprice and whispered, “I saw Miss Fowler.”
Madam Stockton’s expression changed, she frowned and asked crossly, “Sherry?”
“Yeah.”
Madam Stockton nced at Caprice who was having the time of her life, then she whispered cautiously, “Let’s talk in the living
room.”
She turned to Queenie. “Queenie, look after Caprice.”
They went to the living room.
Several minutester.
In the living room, Madam Stockton widened her disbelief and eximed in utter shock, “She’s the president of Sager
Corporation?!”

Julie answered, “Yes, | couldn’t believe it at first, but it turns out that it really is her. It looks like Young Master Sager is on her side
too.
Madam Stockton frowned. “So, she did manage to borrow the invitation card from Young Master Sager that time at the party.”
Considering her status in the Sagers Corporation and her rtionship with Young Master Sager himself, there was no reason to
expect that she could not get her hands on the invitation card.
“Yeah, we were wrong to suspect her.”
Madam Stockton’s face was sullen, she stayed silent for a while.
“| didn’t expect that after more than two years of radio silence, she’d pop out of nowhere and emerge as the President Sherry
that brought the Sagers Corporation back to the forefront of the business world,” Julie said while intently observing Madam
Stockton’s face for any signs of expression.
Madam Stockton seemed very discontent with the news, but she gave credit where it was due. “You have to give it to her, she’s
pretty good at that.”
Julie suddenly added, “I don’t think her rtionship with Young Master Sager is a normal one. Young Master Sager talks to her a
little too affectionately for a business
partner. | see the two of them getting very touchy-feely as well.”
“Hmph.” Madam Stockton mocked. “Seducing men is the one thing she’s good at.”
Julie’s eyes glowed at this notion, but she did not want to make it too obvious. “Don’t say that, maybe they are just good
friends.”Content rights belong to N?velDrama.Org.
“| know exactly what she’s like, there’s no point in trying to justify her actions,” Madam Stockton spoke with disdain, “There must
be an ongoing affair between the two of them.”
Julie zipped her lips and seemed like she was at a loss for what to say.
Madam Stockton sneered. “That’s fine, now that she has Carl Sager, she probably won’t keep bothering John.”
“But, about tonight...” She hesitated to continue.
Madam Stockton looked at her with rm. “What
happened tonight? Did she try to dig her ws into John again?”
With her chin lowered, Julie spoke in a troubled voice, Maybe | misread the situation, but | saw her going into a quiet corner with
John. They stayed there for quite a while beforeing out again.”
Madam Stockton seemed vexed by this. “This woman will never change! How dare she try to string along two men at a time?!”
Julie hurriedly said, “No, perhaps it was all a misunderstanding on my part. After all, she’s Caprice’s mother, maybe they were
just trying to find some quiet ce to talk about what’s going on with Caprice. Besides, she’s no longer what she was in the past.
You could argue that she’s a woman worthy of calling herself John’s partner now.”
Madam Stockton scoffed disdainfully. “Even if that were the case, I’d never let someone of her likes step through the door of my
household!”
It seemed like her dislike for Sherry had not changed at all.
Julie silently smirked at this remark.
