    The elevator climbed upstairs and stopped on the eighth floor.


    Sherry had brought the hotel card with her. She walked down the corridor to the room where she once stayed in.


    She pressed the card against the sensor te mounted on the door.


    With a swift “beep*, the door was opened.


    There was no light and the air inside was rather stuffy. Despite that, there was an eerie chill.


    Sherry entered and tried to put the card inside the slot on the wall to activate the lights.


    Out of nowhere, arge hand stretched out from the darkness and grabbed her wrist.


    Sherry jolted and instinctively screamed, “Ah-”


    Immediately after that, she was pulled into someone’s arms, a familiar smell rushed over her.


    Her eyes widened with shock.


    Before she could process what was happening, the pair of gold-rimmed sses were snatched away, then came a familiar face


    that seemed to glow even within the darkness.


    Her lips were sealed with a kiss.

    She struggled desperately and tried to wring herself free.


    The man was caught off guard by her resistance and stumbled backward.


    Sherry immediately turned and prepared to bolt toward the elevator.


    The man smiled in a sinister way, something wicked shone in his eyes.


    He leaped forward and within an instant, he was already right behind Sherry.


    His long and slender arms quickly wrapped around her waist and lifted her into the air.


    Sherry pranced in the air and wriggled with her feet.


    She was howling with delirium at this point, “B*stard John, let me go!”


    John turned into the room and marched several steps forward beforeunching her like a projectile.

    Sherry crashed onto the bed.


    She was scrambling on all fours, trying to get up.


    John smiled and bent over her.

    Sherry quickly tucked at the hem of her dress that had


    been pulled up to her waist and retreated further into the bed.


    She red at him with stark hostility.


    The man had already picked himself off the ground.


    After staggering on his feet for several seconds, hepletely recovered his usual confident posture and even smiled in a self—


    satisfied way.


    Awicked, disgusting smile.


    Sherry red at him with her arms tightly grabbing the hem of her dress to protect herself. “You b*stard, if youe closer, I''ll


    kick you to death, don’t try me!”


    “Heh.” He chuckled.


    Then he immediately approached her.


    Sherry immediately jabbed her feet repeatedly in his direction.


    If John continued to draw closer, he would be hit by

    John looked at her silently.


    He retreated atst. He stood at the edge of the bed with his arms across his chest.


    Along time passed in this unnerving silence between the two of them.


    After making sure that John was not going to keep approaching her, Sherry stopped kicking.


    She red at him menacingly. “Why are you here? How did you get in?”


    John ignored her, took his sses out of his pocket, and put them back on the bridge of his nose.
