    Sherry got out and headed to a nearby tree.

    Sherry’s gaze turned cold. She strode forward, went in front of Shermaine, and stopped her from leaving.

    Sherry got a good look at her face. “Are you Shermaine?”


    Surprised, Shermaine carefully sized Sherry up and spotted multiple branded items on her, plus her bright and charming face.

    Shermaine flushed, but she regained herposure and lifted her chin into a proud bearing. “I am not like other women. Master


    Carter treats me differently. Don’t even think about trying to get on my nerves with that poor choice of words.”


    “I''m speaking the truth. I''ve seen a lot of women like you hundreds of years ago.” Sherry stepped forward and sized Shermaine

    a scene. That’s what every maid and servant in the Carters‘ residence as well as his secretary and assistant do; it’s basic


    requirements. Some of the maids are even more beautiful than you are, so what gives you the idea that you are better than


    them?”
