    Chapter 751

    Chapter 751

The house was very quiet, so quiet that only her breathing could be heard.

It was rather boring, so after sitting for a while, she grabbed her coat and walked out of the house, intending to go to the nearby

    street for a stroll.

Meanwhile, inside a car somewhere else that had just merged onto the highway, the driver was driving attentively.

Odell sat by himself in the backseat.

    Ding ding.

    His phone chimed.

He opened it and saw that it was a message from Lily.” Hey, I’m all ready. Are you done with work yet?”

He texted his reply and sent it, “I just finished work. I''ll just have a quick look at the kids, and then I''lle meet you.”

“Okay, then I''ll wait for you at the restaurant first.”

    “Okay.”

He put away his phone and looked out of the car window.

The cold wind blew across the street, sending dry leaves rattling everywhere. It was colder than Sylvia had imaginedContent is property of N?velDrama.Org.

She suddenly regretted evening out, but there were still two junctions until she reached the street. She took a deep breath

and continued advancing forward , wrapped in a thick coat.

Just as she was about to step past a junction, her feet slipped from underneath her as she identally stepped on a thinyer of

ice that had formed on the road.

She could not get a steady foothold and tumbled backward, nding on the cold hard ground with a resounding thud.

Her body trembled all over while she felt a terrible jolt in her belly. She cried out in pain.

That was when a ck car swerved into the junction from a distance. The man seated in the backseat immediately recognized

    her figure at first nce.

The look in his eyes changed, and he immediately ordered, “Stop!”

The driver urgently mmed on the brakes. Within a second, the door was thrown open and the man rushed out of the car to run

    to Sylvia''s side.

    She moaned.

‘It hurt. Everything hurts.’ Sylvia put her hands on her stomach and turned her head around frantically. She wanted to find a

passerby to help her contact an ambnce.

However, there was not a soul anywhere nearby. There was not even a single car to be seen passing by this junction.

Her nerves were getting to her, and she felt like she was on the edge of crying when she suddenly heard the sound of hurried

    footsteps behind her.

When she turned around, the tall and familiar figure of the man suddenly came into view.

She felt a sharp sting pricking her nose. “Odell...”

Odell went up to her and picked her up from the ground without a word. She pursed her lips and let him carry her into his car.

It was warm inside the car, but her initial feeling was difort. Her stomach was still hurting, so she covered her stomach and

    frowned deeply.

Odell took a nce at her and shouted to the driver, “Go to the hospital immediately!”

The driver turned the car around at once, and all was quiet again.

Sylvia gnashed her teeth and did not utter a word whereas

    Odell stared at her pointedly.

After about ten minutes, they finally arrived at the hospital.

Sylvia wanted to open the door and step out of the car herself when Odell’s long and slender arm stretched out in front of her

and took her into his arms. He bolted into the hospital.

The cold wind was blowing in from every direction.

Due to the mix of cold and the severe pain she was in, she buried her face into the spot between his neck and his shoulder. His

neck seemed to be radiating heat which provided her with somefort being in this position.

Something seemed to glimmer in Odell’s eyes, and he immediately quickened his pace again.
