"What condition are you thinking about?" Topharm asked as he saw the king''s face turn very serious.
"I thought about it for a while and I might want to revise the things that I said previously. The condition I''m setting would be that everyone would definitely need to go through the basic Rifle Mage training course."
"So you decided that conscription would be the best way to go? Even elderlies and kids?" En Moy was a little hesitantto agree on that condition. It felt like it was not even rted to the dungeons at all but Topharm understood why.
"You are afraid of a dungeon outbreak, aren''t you?"Topharm asked and Jin nodded his head.
"Even though I might keep track of the opened dungeons, it does not mean I can monitor time 24/7. This goes even to the current dungeons that were opened for the Rifle Mages Training and the work done at Central Square." Jin exined.
"And you are afraid that if you are busy with something else, there might not be enough time to react to a dungeon outbreak. However, if you have a conscripted force, there would be some buffer time for them to work things out, and maybe even prevent the outbreak from spreading?"
"Yes, something simr to that." Jin nodded. "And also keep Kraft busy. Otherwise, his head would be full of ideas inclined towards annihting the kingdom. Not other people''s kingdom but our kingdom. He is that destructive in nature." Jin said and Kraft gave a peace sign with a smile in return.
"I have no qualms with that but that also means a bigger budget is needed to ensure that the people are properly fed and equipped." En Moy replied and Jin had no qualms with that. Unlike any modern nation, Ress is self sufficient to the extent that the usage of money was mainly towards the habit of using money as a resource to pay for transactions.
That was the good and bad of being self sufficient but adding in a little bit ofpetition, it will allow the society to grow and elevate as a whole. It was a tad bit like socialism at this point but with the situation they were in, it was to be expected.
"How were the people''s morale? Have they improved?" Jin asked and En Moy nodded with a happy glee on his face.
"Definitely and it was no exaggeration as well to say that they enjoyed the King''s path to expanding Ress. Everything had been moving rather smoothly, I could safely say the majority are eating better including the people who were previously from the slums since what you needed wasbour for the automation factory." En Moy reported. Discover more stories at m,v l''e-NovelBin
"The next portion that we are going to develop is the Noble''s Quarters. Considering all thend that they had taken, it should be easier on you to do the smithing too."
Topharm said and it was pretty obvious, that the existing Nobles wished to leave something of luxury to themoners'' quarters. In fact, they felt that themoners'' quarter was the *cough* as Lord Kraft had said it, ''its the bomb'' kindof ce."
"Yeah, I will get to that soon enough." Jin agreed that was a good ce to revamp since the amount ofnd in the area would be sufficient for most if not all of the remaining capital city''s citizens to stay there. That would mean therest of the capital city can be reced with better facilities or more housing for the remaining viges and towns of Ress.
This way should the war ever ur, those existing viges would be turned into outposts or act as forward lines.
Surely that was thest ditch effort if Jin''s newly revamped Rifle Mages were not able to coup with the demons but he could foresee that that would not be the case. Even just having 500 Rifle Mages in the air was more than enough firepower to annihtea kingdom a dozen times over.
But that was not the case against the demons. Right now the monsters they are encountering are of B ranks, it would not take long for the monsters to mutate or convert into A ranks. Subsequently, each would be S ranks and above.
"On the other hand, I think we have sufficient manpower to raid the northern towns and also expand ournd into the area by at least 30 kilometres. The food stock might not becking right now but our agricultureis.
The number of monsters we have to kill would increase tremendously and when we are fighting against the demons, there would be fewer people hunting for food." Jin said and everyone at the table agreed to it as well.
"My disciples and I can help to speed up the time for agriculture en masse but what we can do is limited." Grand Sage Mex was still in the meeting and JIn appreciated the aid. From what Jin knows, being a Grand Sage does not necessitate that one had to be well versed in offensive magic. Rather, they should be epassing everything as part of their knowledge repertoire.
Compared to the Commando Mages or the Rifle Mages, their knowledge was extremely limited and it all boiled down to efficiency in killing for the former grouppared to the disciples of Grand Sage Mex.
That was also the reason why Jin wanted all the mages to return, he believed that the mages were not used mainly for war''s sake but there were many who were utilised for the day to day work.
"I will dly take the help since I have no idea how the weather works here at all." Jin once again thanked Mex for helping and they had more or less wrapped up the report for the night. For the subsequent portion of the night, it was merely chit chat and some ideas being thrown around when their dinner came.
Be it the king or the Leading Ministers, they deserved that much for slogging so hard for the kingdom.
