The death of Hades, the God of the Underworld, destroyed order in the Underworld and turned it into chaos...
As the deities who represented thews of nature fell, the world was plunged into catastrophes, and it seemed like it was the end of the world.
The cost of killing gods was huge. Any rebellion came with blood-shed and sacrifice.
The fire of revenge spread all over the corrupted Mount Olympus and burned up the whole mortal world.
From Olympian gods to ancient Titans, each deity had given Kratos guidance. However, with each betrayal, Kratos didn’t know who his real enemy was. Athena was one example of his bewilderment.
She had broken the promise on behalf of Mount Olympus but returned from the Underworld after death and guided Kratos toplete the destruction of Olympus.
“You have done well, Kratos. Freed from the bondage of Olympus and cleansed in chaos. Mankind is now ready to hear my message.” The yers stared at the screen and saw the Spirit of Athena standing behind Kratos.
Seeing the world which had been destroyed and almost returned to the chaos, Kratos said in fury, “Look around you, Athena. The world stands in ruin. What good is your message?!”
Havingpleted his revenge, he also saw the price of his revenge. However, Athena thought differently; she only wanted Kratos to return the power named ‘hope’ which had once been inside the Pandora’s Box.
She had once guided Kratos to find this power. But now, she intended to use this power to be the new ruler.
After the war, all humans including the Spartans, whom he had once led as the Ghost of Sparta and had protected after bing the God of War, had vanished.
Looking into the distance, Kratos seemed to be gazing at thatnd with longing. In the past, he hadn’t been alone as he was now. He had led an army consisting of the fiercest warriors and grandest militants to travel through the mountains dressed in red battle armor.
Big golden shields and sharp spears reflected shiny lights under the sun.
Standing under an olive tree by the golden x fields, the mother and daughter in white clothes were watching their husband and father go to the war.
They were Kratos’ wife and daughter.
Then, he seemed to see the yful little princess shaking off her mother’s hand. Then, she ran down the hill and through the troops that were ready to set off,ing to his side. As he lifted her high, she gave him the most beautiful smile in the whole world under the warm pale golden sunlight.
But now, she had been turned into pale ashes covering his body, a nightmare that he could never escape from!
On the road of revenge, he had served Olympian gods and became a chess piece of Titans. And now, he was only a chess piece in Athena’s hand.
The deities in this world were alike. After being betrayed several times, he understood that the deities were all selfish and greedy. He could do nothing and change nothing but seek revenge; he could never get rid of the nightmare that had tortured him for the second part of his life.
He didn’t want to be manipted by anyone anymore.
Perhaps his life should end when he died for the first time, but deities had dragged him back from the Underworld. Now, no one could stop him from ending it all.
The audience watched as Kratos pieced himself with the de of Olympus!
The power of hope gushed out from his body and spread to every corner of this dark world. Instead of handing this power to Athena, he chose to give it to the humans who were in destruction.
Perhaps... these humans would enjoy a brand-new era after receiving this power.
They would create their own order, and they would enjoy freedom and a new civilization, controlling their own destiny.
