Chapter 724: Chapter 687: The Great Hunting Era has begun!
Although he felt like cannon fodder, there was no way he could chicken out.
It’s not like he hadn’t been in this position before.
Of course, before the battle, he needed to move the respawn point to the ship, and then try out the weapon he had in hand.
On the broken dock, everyone distanced themselves and began testing their huge weapons.
All the weapons were in their most basic forms, looking like ordinary big knives and big swords. The only unique feature was that they were huge!
Camille Victoria watched as others swung weapons as tall as themselves, terrified that they might lose control and hit her. She subconsciously took a few steps back, keeping even more distance.
Next, she raised her light crossbow and pulled the trigger at a stone pir.
With a “whoosh” sound, a short arrow shot out, and the stone pir immediately shattered a small piece.
Upon closer inspection, Camille Victoria was surprised to see that the arrow, as long as a finger, hadpletely prated the concrete-like stone pir!
“This is a crossbow??!!”<div>
“The power is like a bullet, right?!”
She examined her “light crossbow” in shock.
It didn’t need to be loaded one arrow at a time. When the muscr man handed her the weapon, he also gave her five crossbow boxes.
After firing the 20 “rounds” on the crossbow, she simply reced the box to reload.
“Zhuge repeating crossbow?”
Camille Victoria had a strange thought but soon shook her head, “This is just a gun!”
“And an automatically reloading one, at that!”
And then…
She reached out and touched the indent on the stone pir.
So, this was the most basic weapon? And it could still be upgraded?
What would it look like at the max level? A portable, scoped, infinite-firepower, rapid-fire rocketuncher?
Absurd!
But thinking about the size of the Molten Mountain Dragon and Phase Willow, it seemed somewhat reasonable.
How could they fight those big guys if the weapons weren’t absurd?
But… since the light crossbow was so absurd, what about the other weapons? They should be just as absurd, right?
Curious, Camille Victoria turned to look at the other yers.
Around her on the dock, chaos ensued-
A yer holding double knives was spinning wildly, the des shining while rotating like an electric fan.
What was even more terrifying was that this “electric fan” was rapidly moving!<div>
The guy couldn’t control it at all and kept shouting, “Get out of the way! I can’t stop!”
The guy with the big hammer, though the design was simple, raised it, and after a brief build-up of power, a visible halo appeared around the hammer’s head. As it struck, it created a tremendous noise, sending rubble flying and demonstrating unmatched power.
Weapons such as the giant axe, katana, and big sword all gained absurd effects-
“Holy shit! Sword aura!”<div>
“Knife Gang!”
“Integrating Light and Dark, I’ve seeded!”
…
As long as theserge de weapons built up power, their edges would glow, and when wielded, they could create intense beams of light in the air!
Though they weren’t sure about the actual power yet, they looked invincible!
Of course, these “beams of light” were not all the same, as they varied in color and shape based on the weapon type and the trajectory of the swing.
To trigger these “beams of light” or “sword auras,” they needed a “charging” action, which was the “posture.”
Daxia yers quickly epted this because “posture” wasn’t a foreign concept in Daxia.
In Daxia, there were standard postures for practicing boxing, knife, and gun techniques…
Only by using the correct force posture could one maximize their power output and swing the weapon with the greatest speed and force.
This principle was general knowledge and widespread in Daxia.
Besides, all these “postures” were not imagined out of thin air but were demonstrated by the experts from the Cold Weapon Combat Development Group.
—The main reason was that the weapons were too strangely-sized, and the experts had to relearn the most appropriate force techniques.<div>
To ensure that each force “posture” looked cool and was easy to use, Lincoln decided to reduce the weapon weight, which had already been halved, by another quarter.
At the same time, “posture” wasn’t just a simple charging action; it was also a prerequisite forunching specific “moves.”
“Big Windmill”, “Iaido”, “Leap sh”, “Super Unbinding”, “Ascending Dragon”, “Shield Counter”, “Seeing Through” … and other special moves and weapon effects all need to be used inbination with specific “Postures”.
However, these are all mid-game mechanics. yers haven’t researched this far yet.
As for the more difficult “Freedom umtion”, it’s very likely that only a few hardcore yers and experts will have mastered it by the end of the event.
Right now, many overseas yers are still confused about the concept of “Posture”. They’re holding their weapons and nning to charge onto the ind for some hard-hitting melee action.
— But actually, there’s no difference. Although Daxia yers can easily understand the concept of “Posture”, when ites to actualbat, not many can use it flexibly. Most of them will probably charge and hack as well…
Like now, Camille Victoria has already charged with the main force.
At the dock, someone shouted, “Hunting team to conquer area 3, missing 1! Need a long-range yer!”
Camille Victoria was about to join the group when someone suddenly shouted, “Dinosaur Ind conquest, 1 needed 9999! Charge with me!”
A big crowd followed, rushing excitedly towards the ind.
Seeing this situation, what else was there to think about?
Camille Victoria decisively followed the main force.<div>
She figured that as a long-range output yer, it was safest to follow the main force and shoot from a distance.N?v(el)B\\jnn

Strength in numbers can’t solve all problems, but it can solve many.
The main force ignored the nearby Jurassic Park ruins – it wasn’t suitable forrge groups – and charged directly towards the Molten Mountain Dragon’sir.
Finding other prey might not be easy, but the Molten Mountain Dragon was too easy to find.
You could simply look up and see a distinctive area in the sky, always burning with bright mes. That was the Molten Mountain Dragon’s location.
Phase Willow was harder to find as it couldn’t be traced from the sky.
However, if you could find any stream, you could follow it upstream to find the main body of the Phase Willow – all the water on Dinosaur Ind was now flowing towards this ancient monster.
Looking into the distance, a brand newke had even formed on Dinosaur Ind.
And the Phase Willow was right in the middle of it.
…
The first target to appear in front of everyone was a mutated dinosaur, just over three meters in length.
Since this was near the hunting ship, it should be the beginner’s area, and this size was reasonable.<div>
What was not reasonable, though, was the number of hunters it was facing—
Camille Victoria had just raised her light crossbow when a group of people roared and charged with big swords, katanas, and giant axes, hacking down the prey in an instant.
Several people were still charging, but the battle had already ended.
Even the person who had leaped three meters into the air and was holding a giant axe, about to perform a Cutting Mt. Hua with Strength attack, looked down and saw a dense crowd of yers below. They tried to release their axe but couldn’t, and it swung down heavily into the crowd!
Fortunately, there was no yer damage, otherwise, at least five or six would have been killed.
The crowd was so dense that Camille Victoria didn’t even get the chance to deal any damage.
And so, a new problem emerged: after the prey’s death, only a few “Inferior Dragon Scales”, “Inferior Dragon ws”, and “Inferior Dragon Tendons” remained, along with arge amount of “Inferior Dragon Meat”.
The good news was: ording to the System Introduction, the first three could be used to upgrade weapons, and the “Inferior Dragon ws” could even bebined with metal materials to craft “Grappling Hooks”.
The bad news was: the number of these materials was very limited, and none of them were enough for upgrading weapons.
Clearly, this event encouraged individual hunting or the formation of small teams at most; otherwise, weapon upgrades would be hindered.
You could engage in human wave tactics, but if your equipment didn’t upgrade quickly enough, you’d still be wiped out by higher-level prey.
The venue was silent for a moment.
Until a familiar voice rang out again, “Hunting team to conquer 3, missing 1! Need a long-range yer!”
“I’ming!!!” Camille Victoria raised her hand and ran over to join them.
Her voice seemed to sound a call to arms, and the scene instantly turned into a yer market:
“Need two hardcore yers! 2=2!”
“Clearing content until 3 AM! Loot distribution is equal! Join now! Those who jump ship, go away!”
“5-person hunting team needs members! Loot distributed based on weapons! Those with katanas, don’te!”
“Strong, Invincible, Best-in-Server Double Knife yer forming group! Need different weapons! If you have ovepping loot requirements, you’ll have topete with rock-paper-scissors!”
…
Since each weapon type had different upgrade materials, the majority of yers chose to form teams withpletely different weapon types to avoid loot conflicts.
Teams formed quickly, breaking away from the main force to adventure into their familiar areas of Dinosaur Ind, hunting the now-unfamiliar dinosaurs.
And so, the great dinosaur-hunting era on Dinosaur Ind began!
