    As she stood inside it, a wave of memories flooded her mind.

    When the elevator reached the top floor, Dulcie walked to the door of the CEOs office.


    Taking a deep breath, she slowly turned the doorknob.


    With a light click, the door swung open. Having been away for so long, she was surprised to find that Kyson still left his office unlocked.


    The nt on his desk was flourishing, its flowers in full bloom.


    Dulcie picked it up, inspecting it with a smile.


    When she had initially ced the nt there, Kyson had expressed nothing but contempt for it.


    Now, however, it appeared that he had devoted a significant amount of effort to taking care of it.


    His desk was spotlessas neat as ever.


    The fragrance of the aromatherapy diffuser she had ced there lingered in the air.


    Suddenly, Dulcie sensed that something was amiss. The essential oil in an aromatherapy diffuser typically onlysted about a week, so how could the fragrance still be so strong after all this time? Curious, Dulcie walked to the air conditioner and opened the secretpartment behind it.


    Inside, she found thepartment packed with the same essential oils.


    They were all still sealed and in their original packaging.


    She stood there in disbelief.


    Kyson had arranged all of this without her knowledge.


    Did he actually like the scent? Or was there some other motive behind it? Just as she was deep in her thoughts, the office door suddenly swung open.


    Kurt walked in, carrying a stack of documents, and immediately halted in his tracks, surprised to see her in the office.


    Mrs. Shaw, what brings you back so unexpectedly? Dulcie carefully put the essential oils back in their ce.


    I wrapped things up sooner than anticipated, so I decided toe back today.

    Shaw? Kurt set the documents down and replied, I havent heard from him in two days.
