Dulcie was feeling torn.

She slung her bag over her shoulder, her expression uneasy.

A momentter, she noticed the weight on her shoulder lighten.

Kyson had taken her bag and was now carrying it for her.

    Dulcies eyes widened in surprise.

He… What was going on with him today? He had even volunteered to carry her bag.

But what really stunned her was that Kyson opened the car door for her and buckled her seatbelt. They had just argued that morning… Dulcie gazed at him, bewildered.

Was she imagining things? Catching the astonishment on her face, Kyson said calmly, Dont read too much into it.

I just dont want you to bump into the door frame, seeing how exhausted youve beentely.

Dulcie didnt know what to say.

    After that, silence enveloped them.

Kyson concentrated on driving, while Dulcie sneaked peeks at him asionally.

Before long, they pulled up outside the restaurant. As Dulcie peered out the car window, the vibrant, illuminated sign of the restaurant Foodie caught her eye.

When the car halted, Kyson exited promptly and opened her door.

He reached for her bag and extended his hand to assist her out of the car.

Her heart skipped a beat witnessing his unexpected consideration, yet she still sped his arm as he invited her to walk with him.

Together, they entered the restaurant, where the manager hurried over to greet them.

    Mr.

Shaw, weve prepared everything. Please,e this way.

With Dulcie apanying Kyson, several restaurant staff members couldnt help but gaze at her.

They followed the manager into a VIP room.

Upon entering, Dulcies eyes were immediately drawn to an array of elegantly wrapped white roses beside an ornate gift box.

A twinge of nervousness struck her.

    The setup mirrored theirst date.

Was this his way of apologizing?
