Dulcie had gone from being a lowly intern to bing Kysons close assistant.

Her quick and unconventional rise within thepany had long sparked jealousy and resentment among her colleagues.

The female employees just couldnt stand her.

They all dreamed of a fairytale rise to sess, just like Dulcie did.

However, deep down, they knew such a rise was very unlikely to happen.

Kyson was the embodiment of their aspirations, the unattainable standard by which they measured all men.

However, they knew their own limits.

None of the female employees even dared to think about trying to get together with their boss.

Yet Dulcie, who didnt have any remarkable family background or exceptional abilities beyond her beauty, had somehow managed to get so close to Kyson.

It was only natural that her coworkers would resent her for that. So, seeing the apparent friction between Kyson and Dulcie, some of the female employees began to think that they had a chance to take Dulcies ce by Kysons side.

Seeing Dulcie exit Kysons office with a cold expression, one female employee in a white shirt eagerly grabbed the person next to her and whispered, Did you see that? Is it true that Dulcie has fallen out of favor with Mr.

Shaw? The womans face lit up with excitement as she spoke.

She Looked like a paparazzo who had just caught wind of a scandal.

The other woman who was engrossed in admiring her freshly done nails, just sneered and said, She probably did something that upset the CEO.

Anyone in thepany could see that the once-close pair now seemed to have drifted apart.

    It was so unbelievable.

The first woman smirked, gloating over Dulcies fall from grace.

She was so full of herself.

Luckily, it seems shes finally getting what she deserves.

They should just fire her. Shes not fit to be Mr.

    Shaws assistant.

As if youd be a better fit! Mr.

Shaw is way out of our league, the other woman scoffed.

Kyson waspletely absorbed in his work, unaware of the office gossip.

However, he couldnt help but notice that Dulcies attitude had changed recently.

She seemed to be avoiding him, and she was suddenly indifferent toward him.

What was going on with her? He nced out the window and saw Dulcie meticulously organizing some documents.

She seemed to have lost weight.

Her already slim face seemed even more gaunt now. Feeling his mood swings because of Dulcie again, Kyson irritably closed the blinds, in order not to see her again.

Days kept on passing, and the odd tension between Kyson and Dulcie kept growing.

At the same time, more rumors were circting in thepany concerning the duo.

On a particrly sunny afternoon, a scathing, mockingment appeared in thepanys various chat groups.

Has anyone else noticed? That cocky woman finally got what she deserved.

Her wiles are no longer enough to keep our big bosss eyes on her all the time.

Looks like shes been shown the door.

    Serves her right.
