Recently, Dulcie had been staying upte, often sleeping on the couch, and her absence by his side at night left Kyson feeling somewhat adrift.

Kyson maneuvered the sleek luxury car to the roadside, his gaze lingering on Dutlcie.

Her face bore clear signs of exhaustion after a hectic day.

As he recalled her frantic movements around thepany, Kysons hand instinctively reached out, gently caressing her tired cheek.

Dulcie had drifted into a deep sleep thatsted for two hours.

When she finally stirred awake, disorientation clouded her senses. ncing over, she found Kyson reclining with closed eyes beside her.

She instinctively wiped her mouth, a reflex born of worry over drooling in her sleep.

As if sensing her movement, Kysons eyes flickered open, his voice low and husky.

    Awake? Yeah.

Sorry, how long was I out? Outside, darkness had enveloped the sky, leaving Dulcie bewildered.

Two hours, Kyson replied calmly. What? Had he waited patiently in the car for her for two hours? Dim car lights and a distant streemp revealed the fatigue in his eyes, highlighted by faint red veins.

She noticed his suit jacket draped over her, now carrying her scent, and guilt gnawed at her.

Did… did I keep you from something? Did I interrupt your work? Dulcies voice was hesitant, den with remorse.

Kyson started the car without answering, steering them back toward the Shaw residence.

Later that evening, after Dulcie had showered and prepared to settle on the couch, Kyson intervened.

Sleep on the bed. She hesitated, puzzled by his sudden insistence, uncertainty flickering in her eyes.

Kyson stepped forward, gently taking the nket from her hands.

Sleep next to me, alright? Next to him? Dulcie was taken aback by Kysons unexpected insistence.

I think I should sleep on the couch.

I wake up early and might disturb you.
