Please, behave yourself! she implored.

She looked in Kysons direction, but he was obscured by the crowd gathering around him.

Just then, the banquet lights dimmed, and the guests drifted toward the dance floor, moving rhythmically to the music.

Miss, may I have the pleasure of this dance? he asked, holding her wrist firmly, leaving her no opportunity to decline.

    Let go, a stern voicemanded.

Suddenly, a firm handnded on her waist, apanied by the same stern voice, Whichpany are you from? You think its eptable to touch my date? Do you want to be banned from Stastle? Feeling the familiar touch, Dulcie instinctively leaned into Kyson. The man hastily apologized, Sorry, I thought she was someone else.

    I didnt mean to offend.

Intimidated by Kysonsmanding presence, he quickly retreated.

It was Dulcies first time being at such an event, her first time being asked to dance, and under such intimidating circumstances.

She was visibly shaken, her eyes wide with fear, resembling a frightened fawn and stirring sympathy.

Her palms were mmy, and she attempted to withdraw her hand, but Kysons grip tightened reassuringly. He gently ced her other hand on his shoulder and began to sway softly to the music.

Dont be afraid, Im here, he soothed.

Under the soft banquet lighting, his face seemed to radiate a gentle and patient aura, making him appear almost angelic.

Hisrge, warm hand slowly eased her anxiety.

As he guided her through the dance steps, whispering instructions, Dulcie began to question if this was reality or a dream.

Looking up, her gaze met his. Their eyes locked, and her heart fluttered.

Tonight, Kyson was truly… exceptionally gentle.

Dulcies heart raced as she became lost in Kysons deep blue eyes.

Did that man harm you just now? Kysons voice, ced with concern, sent a warm wave through Dulcie.

    She shook her head.

    No, he didnt.
