Just then, she heard a voice. “Why the drastic measures?”

man there in one look.
“Matthew, you… are alive?” Charmine’s voice trembled.
The man took a step forward. The light illuminated his face, showing that it was indeed Matthew. He let
out a soft chuckle. “How could I die so easily?”
Charmine couldn’t stop her shock. “But Phoenix…”
Just then, a tall man walked over to Matthew. It was Phoenix, who had a small smile on his face. “You
were looking for me?”
Astonishment was all over Charmine’s face. She couldn’tprehend how these two could be here at
