    Chapter 1712: Instant Switch Up

    ?

Grey heard this person''s words, but he didn''t really care what they thought.

He walked up to the group of four who were standing on their own.

"Hello, please don''t take this the wrong way, but I''d like to have a sparring session with either of you guys." He was very polite as he invited either of them to spar with him. He didn''t even pick, he just straight up told them to decide between themselves and send whoever they felt was better out.

Hearing Grey''s words, one of the young men in the groupughed. He looked at Grey with a yful smile.

"You want to y with one of us?" His grin getting wider and wider as he spoke.

"Yes, if you''ll allow it." Grey''s response was still just as polite, but these guys knew that there was nothing polite about Grey''s actions. If he wanted to act polite, then he should''ve gone and challenged one of the people who recently broke through to the Seventh stage of the Sovereign ne. There were quite a few present, yet Grey came to them, peak Seventh stage Sovereigns who were on the verge of breaking through to the Eighth stage. Even among the Eighth stage Sovereigns, they wouldn''t be rankedst.

"Brother, why don''t you y with him?" The young man who spoke earlier turned to look at one of them who had short brown hair and beards. His side beards were well trimmed, giving him a fresh look even with his dark eyes.

"Alright." The young man''s voice was deep.

Grey bowed to the young man before walking to the center of the tform. There were a few tforms present, and whenever each person wants to fight, they''ll pick either one of them and fight.

Grey had been using this same tform since he started fighting in thepetition simply because whenever he makes a move, all eyes are on him, so no one else even has thoughts of fighting on the tform he was standing on.

The young man with the deep voice followed behind Grey with a nk expression on his face. The Elder called for the start of the battle, and every single person in the arena had their eyes on Grey. They''ve seen what he could do against those in the Sixth stage of the Sovereign ne, now they wanted to see what he was made of against those in the Seventh stage of the Sovereign ne. Mind you, he''s still a Sixth stage Sovereign, and for people to fight across stages in the Sovereign ne, especially in a ce like the Pyro Faction was quite difficult due to how strong every single person present was.

The young man had a hint of eeriness in his aura which made Grey a bit apprehensive, but not scared.

With the start of the battle being announced by the Elder, Grey was the first to make a move. His figure bolted out, and like a sh of lightning, he was already before the young man.

    Plop!

His outstretched hand which was clenched into a fist collided with something gooey and dark. The force of his punch made his fist sink into the dark gooey substance. Without hesitation, he quickly withdrew his hand and retreated, studying what was before him.

''Oh, the darkness element.'' He was more rxed when he saw this. Now he understood the reason for the eerie aura, it was due to having cultivated in a ce filled with darkness elemental essence for too long. Something like this also happened to Gnomes as well as Necromancers. Basically, everyone who has the darkness element and trains in a ce filled with his essence tends to gain this eerie aura.

The young man dispelled the gooey substance in front of him and looked at Grey. Seeing how Grey retreated quickly, he had a slightly surprised expression on his face. Normally, Grey''s fist should''ve been stuck to the gooey substance for at least a second, but Grey reacted within a quarter of a second, which wasn''t something he anticipated.

    "You''re sharp." Hemented.

Grey looked at him and asked a question that caught the young man off guard.

"Do you have only the darkness element, or there''s also the fire element?"

"What''s the point of asking? You''ll lose either way." The young man was bemused by Grey.

Grey only managed to evade just one of his moves and he wants to know what else he was capable of doing.

"Since you asked, I''ll show you." The young man took a step forward, and it was as if darkness was rushing towards Grey.

He was using his darkness domain.

Grey''s figure was quickly swallowed by the iing darkness. He didn''t even make an

attempt to move out of the way.

"Is he dumb? Why didn''t he move out of the way?"

    "He''s overestimating his abilities again."n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Thest time you said he overestimated himself, hefortably defeated his opponent. I think he has shown us more than enough that he does have the ability and is not overestimating himself." A youngdy defended Grey fervently.

However, her eyes almost popped out when she heard Grey''s next words while still enveloped by the darkness.

"If this is all you can do, then you''re not worthy, nor enough." Grey''s voice was boisterous as he spoke, his aura spiked, and the entire darkness was enveloped by a chilling cold, but beneath the chilling cold, fiery mes could be seen rising on the arena.

Grey''s figure rose, and he appeared once again. But this time, there was a difference, his eyes were glowing bluish, and his aura gave one the feeling that it could freeze hell over. Yet, one could still sense the destructiveness of the mes.

"I''d like to battle you and him together." Grey pointed at another one of the remaining three from the previous group of four.

"Yeah, he''s overestimating himself." The youngdy who was fervently defending Grey a second ago switched up the second she realized she was supporting a psychopath.
