Chapter 1780: A Game of Mystics (4)
Pakhet''s mystic aura was vigorous, solid to the point of-tangibility, and blindingly goldenced with thetent-authority of the heavens! When she revved into action,-the entirety of this region underwent drastic changes.@@novelbin@@
She kicked off with primal ferocity, her physical speed-was explosive! Ravaging spatial winds stirred, locking-down any foreign interactions.
The neer, this newly ascended Sage that dared to-offer his service was besieged by her killing aura. He-was shaken briefly, very briefly, before his tens of-thousands of years of overt experience as a cultivator-entrenched in battles were triggered, and his body-reacted instinctively as not a single ounce of fear-erupted in his gaze, only a hint of rampant madness-flickered within the depths of his pupils.
He didn''t retreat nor stand his ground. HE ADVANCED!
His stance was fast as his fists clenched tightly, his-aura erupting with incredible intensity imbued with the-aura of Law, actively resisting and contesting for-spatial dominion with Pakhet. The spatial winds stirred-even further. A lime-colored glow erupted from his-fists.
Pakhet was upon him—no, he was upon Pakhet! The-two met at a certain point between the void, and they-unleashed a kick and a fist!
BOOM!!!
An ear-splitting sonic explosion of physical power-urred, forcing the void vessels nearby to activate-various defensive formations to protect themselves, yet-excluding the spider vessel, the sr vessel, and the-sphere vessel—the Tenebrous Purple Globe—all the-other vessels were pushed back a fair distance, trying-their best to anchor their position. Su Yi''s tiny-sized-vessel was no exception!
The Original Dawn Pce was unmoved, however. A-faint Worldly Pressure spread around the pce,-enveloping Luo Ning and the grade three Utmost Purity-Mist spewing out, and any mystic light or fluctuation-was calmly dispelled.
The first sh caused the neer to experience the-slightest shift in expression, containing immense-shock, revealing great surprise just before his entire-body was blown backward like a light-speed meteorite!
However, his first move was wonderfully creative as he-spun. He began to use this force of his spin to release-bursts of strength, dissipating the forceful momentum-that was gathered on his body, pushing him back.
He was blown roughly twenty million miles away,-directly into the Void-nk Space between Ster-Regions. He felt his arm tremble with the lingering-invading, forceful golden power of metal, threatening-to transform it into a type of lime-colored metal. He-took a short breath, circting his cultivation base as-the aura of Law within him and his mystic power-fiercely fought against the invading force.
Whoosh!
Standing not too far away, Pakhet stood, her mystic-aura rising in intensity, and her physical presence-generating its own gravity. If not for entering the-Void-nk Space between Ster Regions, the orbit of-the starfields within the Armored Boon Ster Region-would experience drastic shifts in spatial orientation.
Seeing Pakhet not attack despite bellowing with killing-intent, the neer was enlightened; the first move-was ongoing, ced with invasive metal power imbued-with the aura of Law, seeking to turn him into a golden-statue. If he failed to resist, he would have lost in a-single move. He didn''t dare to think about the consequences of such an oue nor was he in despair. If he had faced this as a Mystic Overlord,-perhaps this grade of assault would force him to pay a-significant price. Now?
He lightly breathed as he regted his Sage-level-Mystic Power, drawing on the internalized and
ever-circting True Breath of a Sage within him. The-spectating crowd instantly noticed that his foundation-was not simple! His wisp of refined True Breath of a-Sage was at the sixth-tier! Unfortunately, this-simultaneously exposed his newly ascended identity as-he only had a single wisp that was fully refined,-bing an inexplicable part of his physique, dantian,-and Mystic Soul!
The eyes of those Sages watching, most notably the-Alchemic Knights or Dao Protectors of the Worldly-Alchemic Saints, had their expressions sharpen as they-observed this neer with renewed interest or-increased vignce. Sages were not cabbages, and the-majority of Sages, they included, were between first-tier and third-tier.
Prior to Pakhet''s recovery, she too only possessed-third-tier wisps within her, fully refined into her-cultivation base. Moreover, she had only condensed-four in total. Each wisp was exceedingly difficult to-cultivate, and then every Sage had to attempt a fusion,-increasing their strength.
Each wisp contained the quintessence—not the essence-or simply profundities—of one of the Nine Ways of-Mysticism, so condensing them was no different than-condensing somewhat Law-rivaling powers of the Mystic Dao.
Su Yi was taken aback. This freaking guy overcame the-internal trauma that he had personally dealt him to not-only ascend but cultivate a sixth-tier True Breath of a-Sage?! What opportunity did he find?
Su Yu was unaware that the subtle influences keeping-his enemies at an eptable range, restricting fortune-or dying recovery, had been turned off roughly a-week ago. With temporal eleration zones, Mystic-Overlords or Sages could exhaust a significant portion-of their wealth to inhabit one, experiencing a simr-leap in cultivation as those fabled figures told in-stories.
Once those shackles and letters went silent, everything-changed!
The neer spent roughly three percent of his-mystic power grinding away at the invasion force-threatening to modify his body''s state of existence.
This was a heavy portion of his precious power. Even a-single percentage was difficult to recover, posed of-exceedingly precious innate energies. He was internally-unsettled despite remaining outwardly calm. What type-of aura of Law was this?! It was ridiculously insidious-and strong!
A lime-colored Mystic Ward expanded across his body,-the surface of which surged like the chaotic surface of a-stormy ocean. Simultaneously, from his body, Mystic-Runes were conjured around him, numbering over six-billion! They protectively shrouded his body like an-external shell of a mystic sea, exerting principles of-pinnacle Mysticism! Particrly, Oceanic!
Pakhet watched silently, allowing him to develop his-defenses. She wasn''t simply watching. She was
internally inspecting herself as she harnessed her-newly condensed Breath of a True Sage. After
recovering from her battle with Wei Wuyin to decide-the fate of her gxy, she was given three years of a-constant supply of Mystic-Earth and some Mystic-World alchemical products. Prior to then, she-was already attempting to condense her fourth Breath-of a True Sage.
She used all her momentum gathered from the battle-and her newly gained source of essence and energies-from alchemical products to refine her fifth wisp. She-hadpleted it shortly before bing Wei Wuyin''s-Alchemic Knight, so she had refined this with mostly-those resources to pursue further depths of cultivation.
The wisp was far from ordinary. It, too, which was-destined to be yet another third-tier wisp was at the-sixth-tier! She was unusually proud of this achievement, exceeding her past limitations, and this-heavily contributed to her decision to be Wei-Wuyin''s Alchemic Knight. Few understood the absurd-difficulties of condensing a single wisp, and even-harder was refining it into one''s physique, dantian, and-cultivation base.
She flexed her muscles, sending sonic booms across the-void. The surrounding mana, space, and light distorted-as a distinct aura of permanence or pervasive infusion-erupted. Her new breath was tethered to Mystic Dao''s-Way of Infusion! Possessing its quintessential strength!
It was almost as if Pakhet was an extremely mini-Mystic Dao galvanizing its power as her own!
The neer was an experienced Martial Cultivator,-so he understood that Pakhet was one too. With a-steady breath after establishing his Way of Oceanic-imbued defenses, granting it an unfathomable aura of-vastness and unseeable depth, his eyes focused as he-pressed his foot against the Dark Void, and then-explosively shot forward!
Against Martial Cultivators, the best defense was a-good offense!
Pakhet''s eyes glowed with a tinge of admiration, yet-her killing intent remained as intense as ever! If before-they had shed with their physical bodiesced with-the aura of Laws, this neer bravely wished to-sh once again, relying on the strength of their-mystic power!
She didn''t retreat!
With a primal stance, an irresistible howl disrupted the-world''s natural order before she jetted toward him! She-conjured fifteen billion Mystic Runes! The two didn''t-hold back as they shed with raw violence yet again.
A single move.
A single unleashing of their respective Martial Art!
Lime and golden radiance overwhelmed the spiritual-senses of those observing. The sh of Mystic Power-was not simple, yet within a single blink of a Sage''s-eye, a victory was decided as a single figure was blown-back, coughing hectically, and each cough caused blood-to fly!
The neer saw over three billion of his runes were-shattered, and the hole within his sea of runes led back-to his Mystic Ward, reaching his left shoulder as a-gorey hole was made by a disgustingly piercing fang-like hand. Even the bone in that area was gone!
However, the neer showed extraordinary willpower, not a single groan was released from his-mouth as he kept his senses active, feeling the third-moveing in, and this time it was empowered by a-Heavenly Treasure!
Instantly, pupils everywhere constricted.
Pakhet withdrew her Heavenly Treasure, a khopesh-forged from her bones, and tapped into its connection-to the Three Thousand Realms of Heaven''s Laws!
Specifically, the Metal Realm of Law! Her aura instantly-exploded, and rapidly condensed into her de. A fiery-metallic sheen flowed along the de, bestowed an-unfathomable great strength.
She didn''t imbue her Major Law of Metal into it,-drawing even further strength from the heavens,-bestowing the neer the faintest chance to resist.
She didn''t wait—SHE SLASHED!
A sharp wave of primal metal power barreled forth with-unstoppable momentum, slicing across all distortions-of time and space, locked intimately to the neer''s-aura! There was no dodging this strike!
Knowing his position, the neer steadied his-breath and unhesitatingly brought out a high-grade-Mystic-World armament—The Last Autumn Halberd.
As a recently ascended Sage, he didn''t have the time to-even try and craft an Iplete Heavenly Treasure-like Sage Avenging Heart, so he could only rely on his-trusted armament that exuded a distinct overflowing-aura of Worldly and faint Heavenly Radiance.
He roared viciously as if consumed by madness, unleashing his strongest Ascension Art, drawing on his-Minor Authority of the Law, leveraging the strength of-his soul to acquire as much power as possible!
The Minor Authority of Water!
He unleashed a slicing wave of equal size!
The resulting sh was enough to shake hearts and-numb minds! It wasn''t explosive or blinding or chaotic!
When the two attacks met and mingled with a soft,-gentle sound. Then, silently, and inexplicably, a victor-was decided!
A figure was forced to take the slicing strike head-on.
Within the Dark Void, the figure was barely breathing,-its torso suffering an iparable gruesome wound-that was tainted with faint traces of golden specks.
They looked utterly wretched.
THE NEWCOMER!
He was defeated within three moves. Defeated, but-alive. A victory in and of itself given his newly-ascended state while fighting against an experienced-Sage.
Luo Ning coldly watched on. Three moves werepleted, yet the neer was still alive. It wasn''t-so easy to kill a Sage, and since Pakhet hadn''t used her-soul-damaging Major Authority of Metal to draw unfathomable strength from the heavens, the neer survived with their Soulguard unharmed,-sustaining only severe damage to their physical body.
The battle was too quick to taste the true depth of-Sage-levelbat, yet there wasn''t a single cultivator-beneath the Sage level that hadn''t felt as if gods were-fighting. The region beyond the Armored Boon Ster-Region for tens of millions of miles was a distortion of-colors, lingering and chaotic.
It was transformed into a temporary forbidden zone-that Mystic Overlords wouldn''t casually enter! The-Laws of Metal and Water were rampant, shing incessantly against each other as lime or golden light,-continuing their sh across folds of space and time.
Perhaps ten thousand yearster, when the energies-would dissipate entirely, a mystical phenomenon would-emerge that would kill anyone in this area without-reason as if they were right at the center of the attacks!
This wasn''t an umon urrence!!
The neer felt his life rage on, and he breathed-heavily in relief. He looked at Luo Ning, "Have I proven-myself?"
Su Yi frowned slightly. While this enemy of his was-injured, he was still bound to be a headache during the-uing game, a considerable obstacle that he would-have to ovee.
The other participants all had varying expressions.
Either with admiration, interest, or with cold indifference.
Luo Ning looked at this injured Sage who seemed overly-happy to survive a Sage-level sh.
However, what happened next shocked all of them.
"You?" A single word was uttered that shook the soul of-all those within the Armored Boon Starfield and-observed from afar using a variety of methods. The-word contained an unnaturally powerful Spiritual-Strength!
Instantly, the pupils of the neer shrank to their-smallest state since his birth.
Pop.
A soft pop sound was apanied by a small-sized-Void Portal. It was only twelve inches in size,-exceedingly small, yet what came out of it was unsettling to an extreme. A single masculine hand. It-was immacte in design, as if blessed by the great-daos, designed with perfection in mind.
It reached out with its four fingers and thumb, grasping-just a few inches away from the neer''s head. With-a lightning-like jolt, irresistible as the heavens''
inviblews born since the dawn of creation, the-neer''s head was wrenched into the palm.
"NO! NO! NO!" The neer realized his predicament-as his head was seized by a god-like palm, grabbing his-life and death. His hands wanted to move yet his entire-body was unable to act in ordance with his will.
Excluding his Sea of Consciousness and Spiritual Will-to release those words, his body and cultivation were-fixed in ce!
He felt the fingers and thumb that had grasped his head-begin to squeeze.
"WAIT! WAIT!! WAIT!!!" He shouted with madness and-abject terror!
Like tofu against a hammer, his refined physique and-skull offered no resistance.
"...!"
"...!!"
"!!!"
Exmations of shock and disbelief unfolded as they-witnessed the neer''s head crushed into a pile of-indiscernible mush, mixing brain matter, bones, teeth,-eyes, and blood!
They witnessed as the vitality within the neer''s-body was snuffed out, his soul had all but vanished as-his Soulguard was prated by unreasonable violence!
It was over in the blink of a Sage''s eyes.
The lifeless, headless corpse of a Sage floated in the-Dark Void. A somber aura descended.
"The three moves were from me," the voice echoed out-indifferently. "You couldn''t survive a single one."
After saying this, the hand retracted as the Sage''s body-was pulled into the tiny portal, the corpsepacted-and twisted with bone-snapping sounds that could-cause one''s spine to tingle!
Pakhet kept her khopesh. She didn''t think much of it as-she returned to the gates of the Original Dawn Pce.
Su Yi''s lips twitched. That…was not what he was-expecting!
That was not what ANYONE was expecting!!
Meanwhile, in a location far, far away, the furious roar-resounded that only those with Soul Perception could-sense.
Wei Wuyin sat calmly at arge circr jade table with-a translucent ss dome at the center within the-pce. He sensed the roar, including the rage within,-and only staring intently at his rapidly changing-Bloodline of Sin tattoos.
Su Yi''s karmic meal had be his.

The nameless neer was a Sinful Sage, although a-newly ascended one!
As for the chess piece that whoever sent here to go-against Su Yi, he didn''t care nor was he looking for a-match not starting on the merits of equality. There had-to be no doubt to the legitimacy of this match. He was-only thankful for the delicious meal brought to his-doorstep!
