Chapter 711

As Roseanne browsed through the car dealership, Owen Reynolds was right beside her, his presence solid andforting. He didn''t say much, but whenever Roseanne overlooked something, he was quick to point it out with gentle reminders.

Who goes to such lengths if they''re just friends?

And since they walked in, Owen''s gaze never left Roseanne, filled with a kind of focus and care that was impossible to feign. It was the same look Kathleen Rodriguez had seen on newlywed couples before.

Even if they weren''t newlyweds, they were definitely a pair!

That''s why the salesgirl couldn''t help but ask.

Roseanne was no stranger to these misunderstandings. Avoiding Owen''s eyes, she waved her hand dismissively, "No, no, you''ve got it all wrong."

    The salesgirl quickly apologized.

Owen stayed silent, but his eyes remained soft as they rested on Roseanne.

The salesgirl looked puzzled. Really not a couple?

    ...

Across the street, Kathleen Rodriguez was out for some shopping when she remembered her car needed servicing. On a whim, she decided to stop by the dealership.

As she exited, she spotted some familiar faces!

Tipping her hat up, she blinked, needing a second look to be sure, and yep-

It was Silver''s youngest, Owen Reynolds!

Beside him stood a woman whose profile seemed oddly familiar, but Kathleen couldn''t quite ce her.

With a mischievous grin, she whipped out her phone and snapped a few shots of their retreating figures.

Promptly, she sent them off to Silver.

    "Silver, is this Owen?"

"Has he got himself a girlfriend?"

    ...

Silver was in the middle of a facial at the spa when she got the message. She bolted upright, sending her face mask slipping onto herp, but that was the least of her concerns.

She quickly shot back a message, asking Kathleen for more details.

The location came through almost instantly.

"Mrs. Reynolds, what''s going on?" one of thedies in her spa group asked, startled by Silver''s abrupt movement.

"Oh, nothing," Silver shed a tight smile, "Just a small issue to handle."

If only her clenched jaw hadn''t betrayed her true feelings.

Throwing off the spa nket and slipping into her shoes, she apologized, "Sorry, dies, something urgent''se up. Enjoy everything on my tab today, don''t hold back!"

The otherdies nodded understandingly. "Go take care of it, we''ll be fine here!"

The beautician could only watch, baffled. "But Mrs. Reynolds, your face mask..."

Silver didn''t care about the mask anymore. She was already out the door. "Where are they?"

"Wow, you''re fast!" Kathleen eximed at Silver''s quick arrival.

Silver nced at the Mercedes dealership across the street. "Are they inside?"

"They were," Kathleen replied, "but they just left."

Silver frowned. Even from the back, she could recognize her son and that other

    woman.

"What were they doing at a dealership..."

"Buying a car, obviously," Kathleen said. "The woman drove off with a new one-a white Mercedes C-ss.

Not exactly a typical guy''s ride."

Silver''s lips pressed into a thin line, her gaze darkening.

    ve?

    ět

"This is the first time I''ve seen you this worked up. What''s going on? Did Owen really find himself a girlfriend?" Kathleen probed, trying to sound casual.

Silver waved it off, "It''s nothing..."

Clearly not wanting to delve deeper.

"So, should we..." Kathleen started to suggest continuing their shopping spree.

But Silver was already turning away, muttering, "I''ve got to go."

And with that, she was off again, leaving Kathleen staring after her, brow furrowed.

    Wait a minute, that silhouette...
