Chapter 1642

Back at the Potter Mansion, Debra stared at the equity document. Her father''s handwriting and the Frazier Group''s stamp stood out.

She dug into a drawer, pulling out her seal which hadn''t been used for two years. She pressed it onto nk paper, paring it to the one on the document. She expected differences, but they were the same.

That stamp was real. Her father had signed off on this.<fn4148> Checktest chapters at find?novel</fn4148>

She didn''t get it. In her memory, they and the Potters barely crossed paths.

A knock came at the door, interrupting her thoughts. She stashed the seal fast. "Come in."

Marion stepped inside, and she smiled, "You''re polite to knock. Thought it was Erica."

"Didn''t wanna barge in and spook you," Marion replied, nodding at the equity document. "Still thinking about that?"

"I tried to figure out why Andrew has our shares," Debra said. "I''ve been at it all afternoon and still don''t get it."

"Andrew''s a big-picture guy. Maybe it was just a deal between your families. Let it go," Marion said, ruffling her hair. "Right now, we need to find Drake."

From Jason''s reaction earlier, Drake was likely with Michael. That made things tricky. Michael wouldn''t let him go easily.

Randy burst in, the door flying open. "We''ve got news. Come check it out."

Jordan''s team had word, not that they''d found Drake, but that Michael had reached out.

"Here''s the email Michael sent," Jordan said, sliding aptop over.

The message was short, with only an invitation and an address. Debra was expected to meet him in the mountains of Seamar City.

"What''s he up to?" Randy grumbled, eyeing the map. "Inviting us to the boonies? What''s this ce?"

Even the locals weren''t familiar with that location.

"I checked it out," Jordan said. "It''s deep in the mountains. No one''s allowed in. Tons of explorers went missing there. Their bodies were never found. It''s dangerous. I wouldn''t go alone."

Michael''s covers had been blown. Meeting with him now wouldn''t be a wise choice. The others all felt the same way, but they were unsure of Debra''s opinion.

    "I''m going," she said.

Erica freaked out. "You can''t. He''s not on our side anymore. It could be a trap."

Debra shook her head. "I''m going not because I trust Michael, but for Drake''s safety. We don''t know his situation. This meeting is our only shot to bring him back. Plus, I''ve got questions for Michael."
