Chapter 1568

In Seamar City, Erica and Randy were glued to their phones, hoping to catch any news from Orkgate.

They waited all day, but there was nothing.

"Seriously?" Ericained. "Is this how you gather intel? Can you do it or not?"

If only he were half as good as Marion or Jordan, they would have found out something by now.

"I''m doing my best," Randy exined. "But Orkgate is like a fortress. Even when Drake was there, Marion''s people struggled to get info. I don''t stand a chance."

Erica was frustrated, but Randy suddenly had an idea.

"Why don''t we just ask Drake?" he suggested. "He''s the king of Orkgate. He''ll know the city like the back of his hand."

"Great idea, but can you even get into the Potter Mansion?" Erica pointed out.

They had tried before, but the ce was heavily guarded.<fn37ae> This text is hosted at F?nd-Novel</fn37ae>

"I''m out of options," Randy admitted. "But I don''t think Debra will be a sitting duck. Plus, Marion is there. Maybe they''re working things out. You''re worried about nothing."

"I''m worried because it concerns Marion," Erica retorted. "Seeing them like this breaks my heart."

"Don''t be sad. I''m here with you," Randy reassured her. "You see, they have been through so much together. They won''t give up on each other. They''re probably just having a rough patch."

    Erica nodded. "I hope so."

Just as they thought things couldn''t get worse, a news alert popped up on their phones.

The photo showed Marion kneeling in the fountain at the Jovial Hotel.

Erica was stunned. Randy rubbed his eyes, making sure he wasn''t seeing things. "Has Marion lost his mind? What is he doing?"

They quickly noticed Debra in the photo as well.

"This is crazy," Randy eximed. "It doesn''t look like a joke at all."

He had never seen Marion kneel before. This was a first, and it was humiliating.

"If this news wasn''t from a reliable source, I''d smash their office," Randy fumed. "How can they publish something like this? How could Marion kneel in public like that?"

He scanned the article, which imed that at a banquet hosted by the Trennery family, Debra had punished Marion for getting too close to Lexie Trennery.
