    Joe chimed in, "Sir, you''ve been nning for this day for so long. A few more


    hours of waiting won''t matter. I''ll go supervise their work."


    "Go ahead," Jeffrey agreed.


    Juan wasn''t surprised by their conversation. He had long suspected that Joe was


    Jeffrey''s man.


    He could even guess that his memories from his past life were a result of Jeffrey''s


    maniption through Joe. It was probably some kind of hypnosis.


    Juan nced at Jordan. Their eyes met briefly, and they understood each other''s


    intention.


    Andrew spoke up, "I remember a ce."


    "What ce?" Jeffrey jerked up his head.


    "I''m not sure if it''s the right ce."


    "Tell me. I''ll decide."


    "There''s a second basement level. When I was a kid, I wanted to go down there,


    but my parents and brother never let me. It''s like a forbidden area. Maybe the


    treasure is hidden there?"


    Jeffrey thought for a moment. "Let''s go check it out."


    Joe quickly stepped forward. "Sir, let me go first in case it''s a trap."


    "I''ve waited too long for this day. I don''t want to waste any more time," Jeffrey


    said, standing up.


    He then led Juan and Andrew to leave.


    As soon as they entered the


    elevator, an rm went off. Jeffrey


    quickly pulled out a gun and shot the


    security camera inside the elevator.


    The rm stopped.


    Andrew used his fingerprint to


    unlock the elevator, and they


    descended to the second basement


    level. As the doors opened, a musty


    smell hit them. The lighting was dim,


    and the concrete floor made the


    ce feel cold and eerie.


    "This must have been a spy station from thest century," Jeffrey remarked.


    It was probably long abandoned.


    Joe and a few other henchmen joined them. Jeffrey ordered, "Search this ce.


    See if you can find the treasure."


    "Yes, sir." Joe quickly directed the men to search the area.


    Juan''s gaze fell on a row of cabs ahead. He quickly looked away and said to


    Jeffrey, "I''ll take a look around too."


    "Go ahead." Jeffrey nodded.


    The second basement level was vast, with no end in sight in either direction.


    Juan walked along the wall until he


    reached a nk section. He stopped


    and tapped the wall lightly. It


    sounded hollow. He tapped another


    section, which sounded solid.


    "This wall is suspicious," he said.


    Jeffrey quickly walked over. "Let me see."
