"Debra is back from the dead!" Randy screamed.
Erica smacked him on the back of the head and snapped, "Look closely. She''s not dead."
"Not dead?" Randy pointed at Debra''s face. "But her face..."
Debra wiped her face with the sleeve. The grayish powder came off, revealing her bare skin.
"It''s just makeup," she said.
"Almost gave me a heart attack. I thought you were..." Randy gaped.
Drake''s lips curled up, and he poked Debra''s head. "Why didn''t you wake up sooner? Wanted us to mourn you?"
Debra exined, "There were spies outside. If they found out I wasn''t dead, Juan would be in danger."
Erica froze. "Juan? What''s this got to do with him?"
"Let me exinter. I need to wash my face first." Debra stood up and looked around. "Where''s Marion?"
"He passed out," Robert replied. "I used almost all my strength. It''ll take him some time to wake up."
Debra furrowed her brow. "Why did you hit him?"
"Ask him," Robert said. "He rushed to the Nichols Mansion, got into a gunfight, and almost lost his life."
Drake tossed that bloodstained ring into Debra''s hand. She looked at it, and everything clicked into ce. ''Jeffrey must have used this ring to provoke Marion.''
"I''m going to check on him," she said, running upstairs without putting on her shoes.
Drake saw her anxious look and swallowed the words of concern.

"Juan..." Debra muttered.
Juan raised his knife. The de came down, skimmed past Debra, and plunged into the bed.
He frowned. "Why didn''t you dodge?"
Debra whispered calmly, "You never intended to kill me."
He chuckled, "I didn''t save you for nothing after all."
Debra looked at him. "You''ve acquired memories from your past life."
"That''s right. I owe you this," Juan replied, his tone neutral. "Now we''re even."
He pulled the knife out and added,
"The house has a basement. I think
