Debra looked at Andrew''s serious expression and chose to believe him.
"You''re always deceptive. I can''t really believe this," she said.
"Whether you believe it or not is your judgment. Whether I say or not is my decision," Andrew smiled faintly. "So, will you trust me or not?"
Anyone else would be suspicious of Andrew. He was the kind of person who could control the big picture. He was the only one here who couldn''t be figured out.
But strangely, Debra felt a sense of closeness to him. She always said she didn''t trust him, yet deep down, she had faith in him.
Every time she worked with him, she was the one who benefited the most.
"I trust you," Debra said. "No matter what others think, I always believe you."
For a moment, Andrew''s expression softened, but it was barely noticeable.
Soon, he regained his calm and said, "Never trust anyonepletely, not even the ones closest to you."
"Marion would never lie to me, neither would you," she said.
"Everyone has their secrets, things they can''t say. How can you be sure Marion is 100% sincere with you?" he said, looking at her.
Detecting her tenderness when Marion was mentioned, he quickly looked away.
"If one day you find that Marion is hiding something from you, don''t be angry or sad. Just follow your heart. As long as you still love him, nothing else will matter."
"Are you suggesting that Marion is hiding something from me?"
"I''ve said enough for today. The rest is up to you to figure out. If two people want to walk together to the end, they need to bepletely honest. I believe this won''t be a problem for you two."
"Andrew..."
"I''m tired. You can go now."
Debra pressed her lips together, knowing better than to press him.
As she reached for the door, Andrew suddenly added, "Come here at 1 PM every day with yourputer." "Okay."
When she stepped out of the room, Marion had already put out his cigarette.
"Been waiting here all along?"
"Yeah."
Marion''s eyes still held the same love for her. That hadn''t changed one bit.
"Aren''t you going to ask what Andrew and I talked about?"
"You speak, and I listen. If you don''t want to talk, I won''t ask."
He took her hand, and she said, "Andrew said that if I ever find out you''re hiding something from me, not to get angry or upset, and that I should just follow my heart."
Marion dropped his eyes. Debra noticed and smiled, "If you''re hiding something important, you''d better tell me sooner."
