    "What are you waiting for?" Melody sulked. "Get a car to send us back."


    It was a scorching summer day. She wouldn''t just walk home like that.


    The guard hesitated. "I''m sorry, Madam. Mr. Andrew Potter took all the cars out today. There''s nothing avable to send you back."


    Melody''s face darkened. "Are you telling me the Nichols family doesn''t have a few cars to spare?"


    She was already upset about giving all her savings to Debra, and this incident was thest straw.


    The guard exined, "Mr. Andrew Potter is thrifty. I''m sorry, but you might have to walk about two kilometers to themercial street to catch a ride. Mr. Andrew Potter likes his quiet, so no cars are allowed in this area."


    Melody was furious. "You did it on purpose."


    Erica came out of the house. "What are you talking about? We''ve always been polite to our guests. Well, there is one vehicle avable, if you don''t mind."


    Randy drove up in a small tractor, which further irritated Melody.


    Erica saw her angry look andughed. Randy patted the steering wheel and said to Joe, "What do you think buddy? Can you drive this? If not, I can teach you."


    Joe red at him. "You''re going too far."


    "So what if we are?" Erica scoffed, "We''re just giving you a taste of your own medicine. You bullied Debra in the past, but now she''s a member of us. We''re just getting back at you for every bit of it."


    She nced at the tractor and added, "Like I want to lend it to you. I''m just considering thedy''s age. Walking two kilometers in this heat and high heels would be tough."


    Melody clutched her chest, almost having a stroke.


    "Or you could figure out a way to move your car out of our way," Erica continued,


    turning to Randy. "I don''t think they need this tractor. Just drive it back."


    "Wait!" Melody gritted her teeth. "We''ll take it."
