Chapter 1137

Gand rushed upstairs, shouting, "Liza, you rascal. You''re dead to make that call."

Debra set down her knife and fork. She had been worried that Fermin was ying dumb, but now she was sure the man with them was Gand, who was simple- minded and easy to fool. That was a relief.

Her phone suddenly buzzed with a message from an unknown number. She looked down and saw a message from Theda, who requested to meet her at the airport in an hour.

On the second floor, Drake stormed out of his room, irritated. "Debra, can''t you control your people? I don''t want this racket in my house."

Debra looked up to see his weary expression, realizing he had been sorting through business data all day.

She replied, "Sorry about that. I''ll keep them in check."

At the same time, Gand''s shouting rang out again. "I''ll smash your phone."

Noises of a scuffle ensued, which further irritated Drake.

He regretted ever letting Liza and Gand stay. It was only the first day, and they were already causing chaos.

"I need to go out for a bit. Please help bring dinner to Marion," Debra said, tucking her phone into her pocket.

A few steps away, she turned back and added, "I''ll pay you a thousand dors to borrow some of your men."

Before Drake could process the information, she added, "Never mind, you''re loaded anyway. I''m borrowing them."

She went outside and waved for two men to follow her.

The men exchanged nces, unsure of what to

    6 do. But remembering the

she was Drake''s guest, they decided

    to go with her.

Soon, they arrived at the airport.

Theda, who had justnded, joined Debra at a nearby bar. Two burly bodyguards were with her.

"Is all this really necessary just to meet me?" Debra asked, gesturing to the bodyguards.

"You''re not alone either. I guess we are both being cautious here," Theda replied, handing her the stock transfer agreement. "Here''s the document. Tell Marion to stop

    bothering my family."

Debra nced at the agreement, finding no loopholes or traps.

"Don''t celebrate just yet," Theda warned coolly. "Having these shares might not be a blessing."

Debra recalled Gand''s words. He had mentioned possessing these shares could be dangerous.

"Are you saying that having these shares puts me in danger?" Debra asked.

"I''ve said my piece," Theda replied. "If you want them, they''re yours. Just remember running the Nichols Group is not easy, and you might not be able tomand respect. Besides, Orkgate is full of hidden dangers. Drake''s protection won''t keep you safe forever."
